Some clips of Meryl Streep from the documentary 'Theater of War'. She played Mother Courage in 2006 and the documentary shows some bits from the rehearsals. Enjoy!
I love watching her process because it is clear that every time she says something, sings something, it is never just to get the line right, but it is an opportunity to experience a new facet of that moment in the play. Always exploring, however subtly.
This woman is simply amazing. She can do it all. And she does it all with pure class. I really enjoyed watching this. I love hearing Meryl sing. She has a beautiful voice. The director George C Wolfe looks like the guy that a really small part in Prada. I think it is him.
I just really love her more when she do thing on theater singing and acting.. Her unique and remarkable original voice is amazing the clarity and the shiftings of keys and the shifting and building of emotions.. She's really great .. ♥️♥️
I find this clip to be amazing, imagine if I actually was THERE to see her live. Now that experience itself would be to die for. I mean, come on. If her presence on screen is strong enough, imagine her presence on stage.
omg, that was very interesting seeing her in the rehersal! wow, she's great! and her voice, wow.. what can i say? AMAZING! :D she's the greatest one:)! thanks for uploading, Tina! you're the best!
I was lucky enough to see this production during it's Shakespeare in the Park run and boy oh, boy! Maybe the greatest live performance I've ever seen!!!
Does anyone know where can i find a full recording of the play? or just some other scenes, im a student - acting school and want to use it as an inspiration for my own craft, its fascinating this act, really is!
Can someone help me please? I'm trying to transcribe the lyrics of this translation but there are some bits I can't quite pick up: 4:03 Not just a *who's* daughter ? 4:51 You too would love that melody ? 5:10 You smile taking medicine ? 6:24 To the victor come the spoils; where there's a will there's a way ?
