When you do your changes do you make mods to improve the amp, or do you basically redesign the amp from the ground up? Because your designs clean up so well most people could do entire gigs with one channel and a volume knob.
I install my own preamp designs in the amps I rebuild. I always need to change some internal layout in the amps and install circuits above the PCB, install shielded cables etc. So I use the amps as platforms for my own circuit designs.
I make these cables for my personal use, silver plated cables with super low capacitance, FEP jackets, rated at 200C° and 900V RMS. So you can say it’s more of a laboratory cable than a normal guitar cable 🤓
I have three Mesa Dual Recs, and nice amps they truly are. But any Marshall JCM 2000 DSR will blow them out the water. Even the new Chinese Marshall DSRs will blow the Mesa away.
