That little boy - he knows what's up. I love the joy on both his and Meschiya's faces when they catch each other's eye. She's an awesome singer, never get tired of listening to her voice.
So much talent on a street corner and how inspiring you are for generations to follow. Never, and never over again do or can I get enough to listen to you guys and the Loose Marbles.
They were paying close attention to her. This must have been close to her debut as an independent musician for hire. They listened critically, and were impressed.
And this is the only time I have seen the incomparable Earl Bonie on clarinet playing with Shaye. Earl can play any style of music with anybody, and often does.
Jaw-droppingly display of awesome talent ! Thanks so much for taking the time to (flawlessly) film & upload this. I'm now an instant fan of Meschiya & The Horns !
That little toddler stole the show lol. Shaye has already totally mastered the Cornet at this point. She nailed it. Great vocal by Ms. Lake and musicianship by the entire outfit.
Shaye Cohn appears to use the end of a toilet plunger sometimes on the end of her instrument - I am not complaining - I think she's a wonderful player - I just admire the inventiveness!!
Ordinarily, right. However, when someone gravitates to being a performer in public, then their appearance choices would appear to be in-bounds for comment. For example, her dress style generates thoughts of a long-ago era, but her body artwork clashes with that.
Yep = It's the style in jazz, blues and NOLA for musicians to sit in and mix & match--a lot! I'd like to hear Meschiya & Tuba Skinny together more often = like always!!
Shaye just finished playing with Tuba Skinny and then sat in with the Little Big Horns. It was a tough day since both bands were busking at the same time.

Tomboy Productions them tats don’t bother this ol’ boy none. She’s a classic. I could listen to her sing, and that band for hours. Different strokes, I know
@@jeffinknoxville - I don't have a problem with a few tats, but covering your body in them is a cry for help. It ruins the mood. BTW- I am Tuba Skinny's biggest fan. Great Band! At least we both agree on that.
@@presidenttrump7470 What "mood" pou tink Dixieland from? Dis poor folk street music Tats bad but whatever yer used to good? Diagnosis: Stricta recto intestino. IMHO she slammin' & perfect fer dese kinda toons.
