No auto-tune on Erika's voice or any processing at all on the instruments. Just pure musical talent from the entire band who knows how to use dynamics. Music is made to move air... an analog guy here living in a digital world - but that digital world gives us the ability to hear them...
@@cguzelli1 Totally agree with you. Nothing to add except the fact that music is not only made to move air but also the sentiments of people. Great American cultural heritage. Greetings from Europe.
Me too! Better yet, sit there all day listening to them jam, also enjoying some "old no. 7" & a couple of good cigars. Maybe even sit with them on piano if they play somewhere in the evenings. Could life be any better?
When I was young in the 1950s i saw Ray Charles sing this at the Frolics Ballroom in Allentown,Pa and to think I also saw Fats Domino,Jerry Lee Lewis,Little Richard and others before i was drafted into the Army and was with Elvis Presley in Fort Hood,TX and Germany.
Been about a month since I discovered Tuba Skinney on RU-vid. Listen to them every day now. Did not realize they had been around as long as they had. Keep it up, you sound great!
Gente neste final de semana e de quarentena vi o vídeo de vcs gostei muito e fiquei empolgado pra ver um show de vcs ao vivo e até quem sabe ver ao vivo vcs são muito bons adorei. Abraço Rody e Bia.
Good ol Brother Ray would be tickled if he could hear this! I've never heard a ragtime-Dixieland jazz group before that was so much fun! I sat through the whole song, just grinning from one ear to the other! So glad I got to hear these folks. Ireally dig their takes on other old established classics.
They are so good. They are the best. Love this band forever. I wish I could be there to enjoy them live. Why sometimes there are more musicians in the band, and other times there are less?
Just brilliant... I'd have stayed all day. ........ 2 years ago I was in Sacramento just north of City Center and I was heading for an evening meal and heard this same jazz sound ..headed over and found Der Biergarten.....they played this music [10 of them] all night.......Heaven
Thank you for great epic video. Still 2021 they are the best jazz music, thanks camera person too. Keep smiling with lol politely & safely jazz it with ♡ Tuba skinny
After ten days in NOLA, and un three of yours presentación, I think You are the most beautifull woman musician that I ever meet un my live. You well deserve "Blue Cotton Rag"
Interesting - I can actually hear each instrument. I've heard lots of studio recordings where I couldn't do that. AND, as a native of NOLA - yes such street performances are common in the French Quarter. But don't expect to encounter them anywhere else in NOLA.
Look"I say look at that Gazelle,, Erica lewis is a wild raw, mean, moody, big and bouncy magnificent talent" like these Exquisite musicians, ahh man what a class act
I'm Brazilian, the country of the Samba, but I would be able to pull a chair, sit down, and listen to Jazz for a long and long time !! The style that best reminds us of the roots of the USA. Wonderful!!
Tuba Skinny band musicians for this song. James Evans ------ Clarinet Shaye Cohn ------ Cornet Barnabus Jones ------ Trombone Erika Lewis ------ Drum & Vocals Todd Burdick ------ Tuba Jason Lawrence ------ Banjo
