The arrow drawing was brilliant. When he described the arrows that went outside OTHERS protective area, I had an ah-ha because that's what I do. I see people's behavior and defenses, which allows me to understand them. Any INFJ would get the arrows. I have a friend who is an ISTJ. He cannot understand how I use intuition as a normal thing. He is a lovely person, but he lacks imagination. Being an INFJ makes me different, but I love living in the world my mind creates. This was fun and helpful. Cheers to you for putting it together.

'People won't understand it'. Boy, that's an INFJ thing for sure. I have always been questioned about not talking but it's just that I actually listen, take topics in to dissect and inspect them in my brain and most people are merely small talking. I can only small talk for a couple of minutes, so I recognize it and enjoy it, but as soon as something said piques my interest, I just tend to drag the topics into the mind lab where my microscope resides while I enjoy hearing their conversation. To me the world is a very interesting story I'm reading and unless there's a script or wardrobe change needed, or a call to action I'm happiest just reading. If I engage there's going to be plot twists or I'm going to say, 'What? ....Well, you asked!'

Put it down on paper first. We are very good at putting things into words. When I do that and force myself to edit it down, I'm typically able to cut it to 1/2 (or less) the original size. If I could do this on the fly, I could always explain myself in concrete terms. Until then, I will have to try to write it out first. 😼 Thanks for this!

One night I retired to bed, I started thinking about something very funny. I started laughing but did not want to wake my husband. He was not asleep and mistook my repressed laughter for crying. He asked me what was wrong, I said nothing's wrong I was thinking something funny. He wanted to know what it was. I said I can't explain it. Offended, he insisted. I said honestly it won't translate. He continued to insist so we talked about the prank I was devising in my head to play on a co-worker. It was a magnificent prank, btw. Not mean, just funny.

Tried to talk 50 years. Basically pointless. Meanwhile got sigma. Likely only other INFJs might understand.
