I think the fact that the modern fight fan considers a loss as damaging to a fighters reputation is more a sign of the times. In this quick to judge(and insult) period we find ourselves in is testament to this. As they stated Ali and Tyson both lost but were still considered greats. As some of us know, a loss can be the best thing for a fighter.

Exactly. No one denies that Teófimo has great qualities and talent, but when you carry yourself the way him and his dad did for the past year, you’re bound to get some negative reactions. And the way he reacted after the fight was even worse. He would have gotten much more respect if he would have accepted his defeat and congratulated his opponent, as Kambosos was willing to leave it all behind after the fight. Instead he showed childish behavior and disrespect. I honestly believe Teo is actually a good kid with a good head on his shoulders, but unfortunately gets caught up trying to match his dad’s behavior and that’s what gives him a bad reputation. Hope he learns from this experience and bounces back because he has tremendous potential.
Yeah I mean I wish Teo would realize his Dad's a jerk and find better role models. His dad is toxic. And I don't know how Teo and his dad think they won the fight! It was obvious he was losing. After the first round, he should have started jabbing and going to the body and then he could have landed the big shots.

@@SuperTruthful what he should do is take a voluntary defense is Aus, which would be huge and collect a big check then fight a mandatory there too and make more money. Afterwards take on one of the top guys Haney, Garcia ect. Win or lose he would have made a ton load of money in about 1 1/2 yrs to 2. Plus if Teo is making noise(champ) at 140 by then why not move up and beat his ass again and become a 2 weight champ😁

Kambosos won the 1 thru 9 lost the 10th round because of that knocked down. Then he came back to collect he’s 11 & 12Th rounds. And finally got he’s win 🏆 and collected he’s belts.

At first I thought Teofimo was going to win until I watched the press conference and all his (George Kambosos) interviews. He truly believes in himself! So happy he won! Teo & his father are some straight 🤡
It was Kambosos all the way, Who comes back looking that fresh and destroys someone after getting knocked down. Kambosos just had the mental toughness and stamina. He said he wasn't leaving new york without those belts.
Is ok to lose . You will have very tough fights when you fight the best and often. Is only when you cherry pick and fight once a year that sometimes you are undefeated. He will learn from the mistakes and become a well rounded fighter. He is in his early 20s .

@@stuartchapman7934 That was an excellent win no doubt but it was 1 fight. Sometimes one boxer has a certain style that offsets even a great fighter. True greatness has to be proven over time.
@@teofemo7000 Teo is still learning as he goes, Kambosos Jnr definitely won the fight but it was at least closely contested. Teo underestimated George's Boxing Ability and was pressing the action all fight trying to land power shots. Teo neglected his jab in this fight, he was fighting too much off of emotion as George's lack of respect pre fight clearly had Teo both angry and frustrated. Kambosos is a decent, experienced Boxer with good counterpunching ability and good hand speed plus he can comfortably box off the backfoot, these attributes George posesses make it absolutely essential to box him behind a solid and relentless jab. Winning rounds this way will draw George out into a more aggressive style as the fight progresses and the opportunities for landing power shots and counters will naturally become more plentiful. Without the constant threat of his own jab Teo allowed Kambosos's gameplan to work almost without issue. Even so Teo still hurt Kambosos late on in the 10th round but this opportunity would have come much sooner in the fight if he had used his jab correctly and as often as he did in the victory against Loma. Teo will learn from this experience and hopefully realise never to neglect his jab again in future fights, a good right hand can take a fighter round the block but a great jab will take him around the World.
@ Abraham Cruz Not everyone. I was rooting for Kambosos since Teo liked showing off his belts and claiming he was undisputed all while ducking Haney. Thank God somebody humbled Teo. Especially since Kambosos is a much more humbled fighter.

He let it slide because he had PTSD from the 1st round... everyone knows Teo fucking JUMPS on his opponents and finishes them when they've been hurt but Teo was too hesitant because he was being heavily countered all night... even in those short exchanges when Teo pressed him after George got up, he was tagging Teo up which allowed him to weather Teo's offense and regain his composure
Teofimo overlooked a hungry, dangerous, skilful fighter. George is a machine that was willing to die to be a champion. I'd watch them fight everyday of the week and twice on Sunday

Anyone who has been following Kambosos Jr for the past 2 years isn't surprised that he got a belt. But him getting 4 at once was definitely a pleasant surprise. That man works like a dog and has all the confidence in the world.
Both of you are spot on about how boxing fans act when a fighter loses. All credit to Kambosos - it was his night. It wasn't Lopez's night but he is still a phenomenal talent.

I’d rather see it as kambosos was just underrated and not that teofimo fucked up really bad, this is a really talented division and there is no shame in taking a L, with that said I think his pop needs to move to the sidelines. He is too emotionally invested and I think teofimo needs someone to check his ego not stroke it

Teo needs to get another coach. His dad was the one telling him he won the round every time he went back to his corner. That's why Teo was just maintaining instead of letting his hands go and keep the pressure. He got to comfortable to early.

Thats what 3 years of sparring with Pacquiao gets you, footwork, speed and good timing. To tag Pacman ,you have to have good timing because usually faster than most of his opponents he faces.
