DAM bro, a lot of information passed on in a summarized, practical and quick way. I can't believe that in 25 minutes you tested, compared, showed how it works and unboxed everything. Incredible.
@kelvinSLC glad it was helpful! Yeah it definitely was quite the process to get it all in 25mins. I think I had about 8hrs of raw footage to start from
That S3 pro head strap is a game changer. I love it so much. I've got a couple of batteries and the battery dock, and frequently play for 4+ hours, at the end of which usually everything is close to fully charged. I never plug my headset in anymore, a fresh battery charges the quest faster than you can discharge the internal battery by alot, and the charge dock charges the batteries faster than you can discharge them. It's really crazy. Plus it's super comfy.
@TurkishKS could you give me the link(s) for the products you bought? I’ve been planning on getting multiple batteries for my quest 3 but I can’t find a charging dock for the bobovr batteries.
How is it in more physically intensive games? The biggest concern I have with halo straps is that it'd constantly wobble and make the experience uncomfortable or worse fall off my head and break the quest. I'm talking about games like eleven table tennis or creed or those fitness games where you are constantly moving around, ducking, punching, etc. Can the S3 be strapped so tight that it stays on securely and not wobble? If it can is it comfortable or does it feel like it's crushing your head? Can it be used for watching movies laying down? Can I just move the back part upwards and have the quest just lay on my face? Or do I have to change to stock strap any time I want to watch a movie on the bed?
Now that’s what you call a High Octane video, so much data packed in 30 minutes. No click-bait, no delay, no nonsense straight to point! Legend! Liked and subscribed instantly!
Here's a little tip: I got the Quest 2 carrying case for my Quest 3, and it fits perfectly. You still have enough space for accessories, and it's significantly cheaper than the Quest 3 carrying case.
@@JohannesRaab-j2b nah thank you! If it's able to still fit in a quest 2 case the quest 3 case just feels like a rip off ngl. $120 for a carry case is insane vs the $35 it is for the quest 2. Seriously thank you.
@@JustinTechTips For me I wasn't really getting that much hype from the recent VR games especially on PC VR as well as the different draw backs that I've been seeing coming from the PSVR2 just didn't do it for me but now seeing this video and the other different games out there. I feel more welcome than ever
The S3 Headstrap was the biggest game changer for me. Have a Quest 3, been playing since Quest 2. Always had a headache problem because the headsets would press on my eye/brow region like a diving mask and constrict my blood flow, which gave me headaches and made things very hot and uncomfortable. I bought the best, smoothest, coolest facepads and even those did not fully remedy this comfort issue. I bought an S3 Headstrap. I realized it sits securely on top of my head like a light hat, instead of pressing the headset onto my face area like a diving mask. So I just removed my facepad completely and let the headstrap hold the Quest 3 in front of my eyes, kinda like night vision goggles. It works perfectly. The Quest 3 screen floats right in front of my eyes. The screen is also much closer to my eyes due to no face cushion, so I have more FOV and immersion. And the best part is - my headaches are completely gone with nothing pressing on my face! And the S3 is not wobbly like that - it can easily hold the Quest 3 just at the forehead/headband area alone. It's like wearing a light hat/band. Plus there is better air flow due my eyes not being sealed inside a face pad. Now there is some light bleed of course, but it doesn't bother me nearly as much as the headaches and poor comfort did. And if I really want to block the light - I just wrap a buff/cloth around the gaps, works quite well!
I pimped my 512GB Quest 3 with an Aubika Battery Strap, AMVR Facial Interface, Maecker VR knuckle grips, Hons VR magnetic prescription lenses and Quest Games Optimiser. I can 100% recommend all of these accessories The Quest Games Optimiser is probably the best $10 you can spend on any Quest HMD.
You did not lie. This literally covered everything Quest 3 related. And as someone wit both the Bhaptics vests AND the forcetube gunstock. Your 100% right..however the forctube is a must to me bc paired with the vest it takes immersion to another level on my main shooter which is Contractors anyway. So it's worth it to me.
Wow! The best review i ever saw! I can only imagine how long it took you to make this video... Editing, buying this with your own money, and a great review, keep it up🔥
Impressive review! and what you did with giving the Quest 2 more shine was even better. I bought a Quest 2 years ago and still love it, but i think the quest 3 is my next adventure into VR with MR and AR. Quest 2 rocks if you want to hop into your first VR experience, without a doubt.
Have to comment about the M3 pro strap, I ordered one from China and it works perfectly well now. I also heard since quest 3 got updated, they fixed some battery drainage issues. So for me the BoboVR M3 pro actually charges up the headset to 25% before the external battery is dead.
I'm pretty certain the reason the quest 3 charging station didn't have a charging block was because you were supposed to use the one included with the headset.
@ThatRandomDude914 lol it is my work though so I do fortunately get to write of these expenses :) Yeah I know there are some PCVR headsets that are better than the Quest 3 and a lot more expensive. Which one do you like the best?
Quick question about the Azure 2, Will it be able to handle games like apex legends, COD Warzone, 3 and other titles at over 100 fps on max settings at 1440p. (Or even medium settings im not picky, also sorry for it not being a vr question but im upgrading from a $500 laptop to the azure 2 so I just need a little clarification, Thanks)
@Darkest_Hour590 Yep it will! As long as you get at least this version of the Azure 2 or higher bit.ly/SkytechAzure-2 . That version is the one I tested and at max settings at 1440p COD BO4 got 260fps, COD MW2 got 127fps, and even Cyberpunk got 113fps. I didn't specifically test Warzone but it's very similar. Apex Legends will be cake compared to those games
as someone who used a link cable for half a year for pcvr just use virtual desktop or steam link both are good, steam link is definitely more ease of use but virtual desktop is abit better graphics wise tho more finicky trying to get everything right. steam link on the other hand is alot easier to use as you dont need to launch steam vr it just boots it up for you. all in all virtual desktop for quality steam link for performance. P.S. vd has way more settings to mess with to make it better, but never ever use the oculus app its just bad
@@JustinTechTipsI’m getting this for Christmas, I can’t wait to see that silly little quest 3 box! I’m upgrading from my quest 2 considering my microphone is horrilble, my freinds say it sounds like a rift s mic
Props to the amazing video. I've found myself coming back to this time and time again when I'm considering to buy a new quest accessory. This is truly an ULTIMATE review!!
I've been watching videos to check whether if i should get one of this to xbox game pass on my lobby, and work 8hs a day coding with three monitors instead of buying 'em. This is the perfect video review and you were pretty clear on what does and what doesn't go with it, this video it's a 100/10 and you've earned my sub as a like! thanks!
Juat wanted to say that the video was well done. I purchased the KKCOVR headset attachment and have to say that it was game changing. One thing you don't mention is that you can remove the facial interface for that style of attachment, which completely eliminates fogging and allows you to be aware of your surroundings. Especially great for heavy excersize games. Now I only need to get an IR emmiter for playing in the dark.
@eightysevenpages8386 Thank you! I don't hate the charging dock, I just think money is better spent getting a comfortable headstrap that also has swappable magnetic batteries
Was nervous about getting a VR because i have little to no knowledge on the brands or differences. Thank you for the confidence boost that i can rely on someone to give me the info i need and not take advantage of my ignorance!
@Ubankaja So glad the time and effort put into this is being appreciated! Sometimes as RU-vidrs we wonder if we are just obsessing over certain videos too much
Awesome, awesome review. Unlike most "vs" review videos, this one actually felt like it made sense. On a side note, that box trick with the Amazon screen was top shelf!
This is the best review I’ve seen. So much info delivered at such a good pace. Could have stretched this into 10 different videos to milk the content (glad you didn’t)!
I got a pair of Soundcore VP10s and 3 dongles from Amazon this week, and I was worried when I heard what you said about no pass-through charging, but mine actually work! Not sure what your source is, but apparently the Amazon models are fine now. Thanks for the great overview! 😊
You got a sub just because you owned this video like a pro. you held to your word with the 'ultimate' line :). Great job! I am about to buy quest 3, but would like to know, i don't have that kind of budget for linking with such big pc, i got 3060 i7. will that link be good enough to some extent?
@wolfsblessing glad you liked it! That will be a good enough PC to basically match the graphics of a PS5 or Xbox Series X. And also an insanely larger library now that you'll have access to all the PCVR games
Awesome video! Something important to note about the "Elite Strap with Battery" from Meta tho is that it's the only one that really extends the battery life and doesn't work like a powerbank! Because with the others, you're constantly charging up the battery of the Quest itself, while with this one, it depletes its own battery first, and only then will the internal battery of the headset be used. This is the only reason I myself chose to use it over every other strap, even with it being that much more expensive. I also do not have any issues with the comfort tbh.
I've been using the Quest 3 with my RTX 4080 Super Gaming PC via virtual desktop for almost a year now and its been awesome since then! I also really love the upper body tracking with Virtual Desktop for FBT. Mixed with 2 slimeVR trackers for legs its INSANE!
Great video! Thanks for all the hard work you put into it! I haven't made the jump to the Q3, but your hands-on reviews are invaluable to someone getting ready to make a purchase :-D
@honestopinionswithme A few weeks ago I would have said the older one since it was such a good deal, but they have gotten a little greedy since then and jacked the price of the older one by $160! If you look below you can see how close they currently are in price. I would go with the Quest 3 now that it is not that much more expensive. Quest 3 - amzn.to/3M2Dion Quest 2 - amzn.to/3YOJhon
@@JustinTechTips I noticed that. I thought I was crazy but the price did go up 😭 I think I decided on the MQ3 just bc it has mixed reality and just seems more modern. And if I'm gonna spend over 200 bucks on vr, might as well save up for the 500 one
@test1223. Thank you so much! I really appreciate that! I wish I could do videos this big all the time but it just takes so much time that I would probably only be able to do one every other month
Incredible video!!!! I can’t believe all the money and time you spent doing this very thorough review. I was looking forward to you reviewing facial interfaces since that is almost as important as the headstrap. The Oblik custom made interface is the most expensive but gives you the best comfort, FOV, and the vents are perfect with the BOBOVR S3. Other than that, what a great review!
@Eagledocstew Thank you so much! Yeah it hurt in the beginning spending so much time and money on something but I have hope that this one will help pay all that back. If people remember to use my links if they decide to get something.
He said multiple times he wasn't sponsored by Meta so that he could give an honest review, then he barely reviews the headset and shills dozens of products where he does get kick-backs. Imagine honestly recommending people buy haptic vests and faceplate covers. Furthermore, 90% of the comments on this video say some form of, "good video" which doesn't sound natural to me at all.
@beeilve it’s obvious by the thumbnail it’s mostly an accessory review. Amazon gives kickbacks on everything so every product is on an equal level. You have to be an incredibly ignorant person to believe me saying the majority of this is not worth the money is “shilling”.
@@JustinTechTips And at the end you do recommend something from every type of accessory. There's conveniently always something to buy. How absurd would it be to recommend literally everything? That's not a compelling argument that this video isn't shilling.
@@beeilve rarely waste my time with ignorance but just in case there’s anyone reading your nonsense here’s a more detailed argument.. I did not recommend the lightsaber attachments haptic guns or the elite strap which would have made me the most money because it’s the most expensive. I’ve spent about $4k on this video, how dare I hope people use my links to show support for all the $ spent and time spent testing and comparing everything. Shilling removes the bad and only talks about the good. There’s not one thing I said in this video that was false or misleading. Hating just to hate doesn’t make you sound cool or smart, just makes you sound ignorant. Recommending products I liked is a pretty lame argument for shilling in general
Went with the number 2 headstrap. The flipping the visor up part is so useful i think it beats the bobo. Plus 2.8 hours extra and only $30.00 for another battery isn't really that much of a loss for me.
This video came to my recommendation at the right time. I have saved enough money to get the Quest 3 plus some accessories. I am really excited to get it
Yo bro, amazing vid but can you PLEASE make another video for budget PC cause I'm really REALLY stuck there and I can't find or know how to find anything good but under 1500$
@SkullGuy123 Thank you! For a budget under 1500 I'd go with this one bestbuy.7tiv.net/damqJ3 . If you can squeeze a bit further to $1700 this Skytech Azure 2 will be quite a bit faster bit.ly/SkytechAzure-2 . That one just recently dropped $300. It was $2000
I’m planning on getting a Q3. I have the Rift S, but I’m going to hang onto it since my wife wants to get into vr. Figured set her up with a steam and meta account so we can both play some games together. Or to see if she really likes VR before I buy her a Q3 too. She’s tried once or twice the last 4-5 years, but it was a bit overwhelming for her. But she had fun the times she did play
When I first had my quest 2 I threw my controller on the ground to get the battery cover honestly I’m surprised how the same controller still works 😂 (I figured out the yank of battery cover works ) upgrading to 3 this January
Excellent! I'll soon need a new eyeglass Rx and will use that as an opportunity to upgrade from the Quest 2. However... I know right off the bat y'gotta get some upgrades and add-ons!
@@JustinTechTips Not the Rx, which is from a regular optometrist, but the lens inserts I have (twice now) are from VR Wave. My aging eyes are rather awful. I now need three sets of progressives... one for driving/distance, one for the computer/desk, and one for close up/reading. For the VR I use the distance Rx from the driving/distance set. I'm a bit past due upgrading, and when I do that will by my cue to also upgrade to the Quest 3... with some of your suggestions for the strap and so on.
