Normally I wouldn't expect much from a $800 e bike but Metakoo has changed my mind, this bike is a beast. Speed, acceleration, range, hills and brakes all tested.

Hey guys, I'll be the first to fess up when I made a mistake. The fork is installed incorrectly, I realize I'll loose some credibility but wanted to be upfront and honest with ya. I don't claim to be an expert on bikes, just an average guy giving his honest opinion.

You installed the fork backward. I made the same mistakes until I realize it it doesn't look right. Or you can check the menu

@Screw youtube It comes about 80% together. You need to add the front wheel, seat and handlebars. Takes about 20 min if that

Lol honesty goes a long way. It happens. There's a famous image of an H&K handgun poster on the internet where a professional photographer took a picture of a magazine loaded with bullets...and the bullets were installed backwards. It happens even to million dollar corporations.

***NEVERMIND, I see it's mentioned already*** The front fork looks like it's on backwards. The brake mount for traditional rim brakes is behind the stem, and the quick release for the front wheel is too. And the front brake is on the right which put's the caliper out front of the rotor. Yep, the forks are backwards.

I just bought the 300 model, with 27.5 tires, and a 500 power motor. Pretty comfortable. I am going to upgrade the rear cluster and the derailleurs.

Mine did not have a gentle process I thought it was going to be that way and when I turned the throttle I flew almost off the bike it picks up speed like almost a wheelie the front wheel came off the ground had I not backed off of the throttle

Just purchased this bike today for general use..flat surface sidewalks ect. For work shopping and home in a 5 mile radios...do you think it was a good long term purchase? I'm happy with you video.i won't be going on trails just flat grade surfaces. Opinions please?

Nice! It's a quality bike for sure, especially for the price, it should work just fine for what you'll be doing and should get a longer range than I did.

What Ebike do you find is faster in your videos? Ecotric 26inch fat tire bike, Rinkmo S5, or the Metakoo in this video. I'm trying to buy the fastest 800 dollar bike.

I got just over 10 miles on the highest pedal assist mode riding off the road through hilly and rocky terrain, hope that gives you an idea

I bought one of these to ride to work every day. it's about 10miles and I use the throttle the whole time except for the few big hills I have to go up. it takes me about 30mins and the battery says it still has half charge left on it. I have a KHS grit 110 and the hills I have to go up I can not make it up on that bike because the low gear isnt low enough. this electric bike I stay seated up the hills. I'm peddling hard but the difference is awesome. i havent rode bikes that long so I'm sure someone else would be fine on those hills but not me.

Thanks for reviewing this bike ! Does the battery have overcharge protection ? or do you need to unplug to stop charging and avoid overheating, over charging and ruining the battery ? Again THANKS !

You bet! Thanks for watching. I'm not sure if it does, I always set a timer for all the products I review so I remember to unplug them, the general rule is to never overcharge, it will do a little damage even though they say it won't

Would this bike be good for a shorter person? I am 61 yrs old and just need a bike to get around town with. Probably 3-4 miles of riding at a time. Also, can you change the seat out pretty easily? I would need a larger round seat due to an fall injury on my right sitting bone.

Amazon says the rider height range is 4'11" - 5'9". That would account for why you thought the bike felt small for you. A reviewer on Amazon said his 4'9" son could ride it.

@@spencerpaul1238 I'm 5'4" and 60 years old, and I put the seat up an inch or two after getting used to the bike. I wanted the seat higher because the frame is so small that my knees could not extend enough without the seat being higher. For people over 5'9" they make the Cybertrack 300.

I think its meta koo ...at least that sounds right. Anyone else have kickstand issues? I reached up to 21.5 mph on flat surface. I do have a squeak I can't find..

Has anybody heard of googo electric bike and got any feebacks on it im deciding wether to but this metakoo or the googo electric is 599 with a 100 cupon making it 500$ i like i mostly for the usb recharble plug in the middle for my phone wich i seem to see not much ebikes dont have the usb recharge plug in

Just before I watch the video - at the thumbnail, it's eight hundred dollars, I expect it to be an amazing product. Any less than a 10 is not acceptable for $800 of anything. Edit: watched the video and you seem to be very accepting of second best on all the parts you said were cheap feeling. $800 shouldn't be buying second best...

$800 is a pretty cheap bike compared to what's out there in my experience

Wow, are you serious? The cheapest good quality ebikes out there are $999 at least (Rad Mission, Ariel Rideal, Lectric XP 2.0) and even those make sacrifices to cut costs. At $799 (even cheaper with the usual $50/$100 off coupon) you should absolutely NOT expect anything less than a 10. I suggest you do research before considering buying an ebike.
