Anytime i find someone new diving into Em’s diss tracks I go into a rabbit hole in RU-vid looking for other new people doing the same. Looks like I slept on the dis tracks for 6 months this time. This is one rabbit hole i’ll never tire of diving down head first for hours on end. Have a great month whenever you see this

Been down that rabbit hole many times, even when I used to have to do it through mixtapes! I still have the original mixtapes packed away. Invasion Pt. 2 w DJ Green Latern was great. It had Doe Ray Me, Hail Mary on it. I know Jay-Z, Fat Joe, Diddy, Cam’ron all had verses or tracks on it. It might have been invasion 1 that had Tony Yayo free styling in prison hahah.

Either I misinterpreted something or you didn't quite understand the "trunk of your tracer" narrative Em was illustrating. He was talking about he himself having to do that in order to make it in rap and Benzino knowing nothing about that life because he's wack af and trash. It's a rebuttal to Benzino telling Em he's not about the "street life". Em is basically saying no, he was never a gang banger; drug pusher, etc. but he was a crazy ill lyricist who worked his ass off to get to where he is today. And that Benzino wouldn't know that life because he has to extort and intimidate magazine publishers just to get his own tabloids and guest appearances from other artists. Where as Em just had to be talented.

You ain’t been to THAT part of Boston. it may not be bigger than la or New York but that’s more of a population thing meaning more reported crimes well of course there is going to be more reported crime in a more populated area… what about the unreported crimes? This song is about Ray Benzino, a racist magazine producer at the Source who didn't know anything about selling records out of a back of a tracer. Em knew the hardships. Benzino was jealous. They put Em in the source before he made it big in their unsigned hype section. Then Benzino the claimed to be rapper, who was friends with other rappers because of his connections, attacked Em to try to get famous...thinking Em was weak and fake. Little did they know Em is a true lyricist and from the hardship life pressing cds and selling them out of the back of his tracer...then made it big by placing 2nd in a rap battle in L.A., passed out a few tapes, and one made it to Dre's desk.
