In this chapter of my existing CD collection, I’m talking about the IRON MAIDEN albums which I own. Since everyone probably knows them so well, I don’t really describe the albums in detail, but just share my thoughts on them. Also, because I don’t own all of their albums, I couldn’t do a ranking (which would be difficult, because they have so many brilliant releases)! Legendary British heavy metal. Up the Irons!

I had a hard time with Senjutsu. I was very bored with every song. I need to revisit it and see if it grows on me. Great overview of your Iron Maiden cd collection.

I've got my eye on the cassette for that "Sanctuary" single, since my self-titled LP doesn't feature that song. My copy of Number of the Beast (1998 CD reissue) includes "Total Eclipse". Great fuckin' song! I feel you on Piece of Mind. I like the album, but I don't worship it. Revelations is, however, one of my favorite Maiden tracks. Flight of Icarus is fantastic as well. Believe it or not, I've never been a fan of "The Trooper". Powerslave is solid, but again, not one that I worship. I got rid of Seventh Son, haha. I'll buy it again, eventually. As for favorite Iron Maiden albums, the first 2 are my favorites, followed up with Somewhere in Time and... maybe No Prayer For the Dying? That's a tough one.

Nice! Oh yes, 'Total Eclipse' is a fantastic song! And I agree with you about 'Somewhere In Time'...that's probably my all-time favorite Maiden album, so it's incredible that I don't own it yet. That album is definitely worthy of owning on vinyl! It's also great to see so many fellow appreciators of 'No Prayer for the Dying'! Yep, the first two are classics! Thanks, Tony. The one that I really NEED to get is 'Somewhere in Time', because it's actually my favourite! Ironic that I don't own it. I saw it on vinyl second hand over here a few years ago and I passed on it, stupidly! So I'm still on the lookout for it!

Hi James!!! Well done and so cool to see your collection of my favorite band..... i have tell this story many times how i discover the band thanks to my young brother back when "TNOTB" was released, yes i'm that old, lol. I think "Piece of Mind" might still be my favorite studio album or "SSOASS". I don't own the two Blaze Bailey album, not good ones, however the first time i so them live was in 96 with Blaze!!! Also one of my favorite from the reunion era is "Dance of Death" a very underrated imo. cheers and be well

Thanks, Cristian! Yes, 'Seventh Son...' is shaping up to be one of my favorites as the years go by; not a single bad track on that album! When you saw the Blaze concert, was that when he went off at someone in the audience for taunting him? I haven't heard much of 'Dance of Death', but a good friend of mine also swears by that album!

Great Iron Maiden collection James! You have more of their albums than I do! Just never felt like getting them as I have them digitally. But when I've ran out of things to get, I'll look to pick up my favourites on CD. I love the 80's albums, though I agree they have done some great stuff beyond that time period. I think No prayer is great, and I love A matter of life and death. My top 3 however is Somewhere in time, Number of the beast and Powerslave 😊🤘🏻

Thanks a lot, Josh! Great choices with your top 3, all classics! 'Somewhere in Time' is easily my favourite, which is ironic since I don't even own it, so I need to remedy that soon....it's worthy of a vinyl copy!

@@stormwind_7996 You're welcome mate! Glad you like my top 3, those are just a cut above for me. Ah nice that's cool, it's a fantastic album. Ha that's alright, I don't own any of my top 3 on physical haha! Yeah, definitely should get some more Maiden in our collections, and can get our absolute favourites on vinyl too. Good thing is, they're not going anywhere, they'll always be available so it won't be too difficult to pick them up 😁😊🤘🤘

oh good, I showed that debut Iron Maiden last night in a drunkin' stuper and was afraid I miss quoted the release date haha. Still watching the video but I thought I would make a quick comment. Iron Maiden is a favorite of mine as will.

@@stormwind_7996 absolutely. I think I'm going to spin Seventh Son of Seventh Son. That album has the best vocal performance by Bruce IMO. The Prophecy is my favorite track on that one. No Prayer for the Dying is underrated! Mother Russia is atmospheric as you say. Killer one as well. One of 3 I am missing from collection though.

@@stevesekora Nice! 'Seventh Son...' keeps growing on me more and more! And good to see that someone else appreciates 'The Prophecy'. Yeah, 'Mother Russia' is one of my favourite Maiden tracks of all time! Definitely pick up 'No Prayer...' if you don't already have it, and play it loud!
