@@Mrbignutzful he grew up in the same city I did. I knew his Dad pretty well. I finally got meet him when they first went out on basically a bar tour after he rejoined. He was so nice and we got to talk for a while. They were my favorite metal band during his first go around with them. I'm still in shock. So fucking bummed.

RIP Mike Howe my friend. The line I always remember from this song is: "God in heaven, my only friend, will I live to see my journey's end." And then he took his own life. Mike aged well and was a good looking man with a stellar voice. So sad.

Same here, too, lol! First song I heard, and I was hooked. What a true metal discovery. Such a well written metal masterpiece! Duke's bass choices, the drummer's tasty licks, and Howe's heart attack vox over some really interesting guitar comps...fuckin badassery all the way!

I’m glad I got to see them in 89’. Allentown Fairgrounds with the Cult opening for Metallica at the and of the And Justice Tour. Right when Mike hit the line “No more soothing rain,” the sky opened up and it started raining. Mike puts his hand out catching the rain looking up at the sky singing that line. Epic moment. Also my first real concert. RIP Mike.

MIkes vocals are fucking dead on the money. Not a bad note to be heard. Other people comment on singers that sound like shit live, then compliment them because they are a fan. This is a great vocal performance. Period! My condolences to the Howe family on his passing.

Always loved Metal Church from day 1 Admittedly when Mike joined it took a short while to find and feel his 'amazement' My Heart faded when Mike left then beamed when he returned... wow... a legend has departed... lost for words for the love of that man 🤟

RIP Mike! I remember when he first returned in 2015 and seemed so rusty! A year later in 2016, his vocals were "On Point" I felt so proud of him and so happy happy he returned to MC and the band seemed to be on "Cloud Nine" with him coming back.

I loved this album as a kid and this song especially. Pure metal with a great message. They still brought it all these years later, but I wish they had hit bigger. About two years ago, Eddie Trunk interviewed one of the guys who mentioned that they have to work tour dates around their day jobs, because those jobs pay the bills now. That sucks.

one of the best metal voices, amazing written lyrics I would listen to headbangers ball sober and have more fun by myself than with a whole room full of people and alcohol. I had to go to bars to meet girls but alcohol just left me depressed I only met hip hop chicks so if you dated a heavy metal chick you did better than me ..!.
