Such sad news that Mike Howe has passed away, rest in peace Mike. You were back where you belonged and gave us two more fantastic albums. It goes without saying you will be missed
RIP MIKE HOWE ! Tragic that this band has lost 2 great vocalists during its lifetime ! Mike was making a great comeback with MC, life cut way too short to reap the rewards !
Sad news indeed. No judgment here for whatever happened. Such a powerhouse! Always 101% given through those pipes. We have point A to point Z. Goal is to kick ass at every point in between...
A great band.this was my favorite band, and what I loved to listen too every day when I was in high school.so sad to hear about Mike howe.really terrible and a great loss for the metal community.he will be very missed.always.😔💡

@@kzadbhat555 it's for timestamps so people who don't have time to watch the whole thing can find what song they want, I just happened to notice some inconsistencies after some songs in the video and saw that 2 songs were missing once I checked the setlist
Growing up in the 80’s as a teenage metal/thrash/speed/hardcore, etc head I think Metal Church was and still is one of the most underrated bands in history! Kirk Arrington was such an incredible drummer and one of my favs
Straight outa 80's MTV Metal Church playing I Am Santa Clause with DJ Rockfish on vocals in Seattle for the KISW Bob Rivers show. Predating Grunge they were there with WASP, Black Flag, RATM, Killing Joke, Fates Warning to name a few. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CRW2poUfJ34.html
I'm so incredibly glad you have this posted!! No disrespect to David Wayne (Outstanding vocals RIP)... Mike brought this band full circle making it whole once again in the end!!! I can't imagine Metal Church without Mike (RIP)... F@k!!!
Also no disrespect to Mike Howe, which had a good voice (its not good here though, his voice is cracking, massive pitch issues, etc).. But he was never anywhere near to David Wayne, who was in an entirely different league.
I've been saying my whole life and will still say it - Blessing in Disquise is the greatest metal album ever recorded. It is a freakin masterpiece. R.I.P. Mike! You will forever be my favorite singer! 😥
I ride alone, the wasteland that I cross Will take another life, we'll take another loss I feel a dry wind, dust is in my eyes The artic cold at night, the earth, it tells me lies... RIP Mike, I hope you find your way through the Badlands...
RIP in mike....dedicating a week of nothing but the church brother....been a loyal fan for 30 plus years....rip and my condolences to kurt and the rest of the family...
Sad to hear that Mike took his own life ! Depression is a disease of the mind that has to be controlled. Been there, and there is not a happy place. RIP Mike Howe, you were King for a while ! Condolences to his Family and friends !
Been a congregation member since '85. Losing Mike made this grown man shed tears. The first album with Mike helped me get through a tough divorce. I played the shit out of it. RIP Mike and Dave. You both left a true metal legacy.
Back in the day (early 90's), I was a huge fan of these guys. Then Howe was gone....along with a little piece of my soul. So, SO glad he's back!!!! And, FINALLY, after nearly 30 years of listening to them, I got to meet them last year. Great bunch of dudes!
Mike Howe is A Great Singer but When Metal Church first came out in the 80s David Wayne was a true vocal genius... So sorry he was taken from us so early in his carreer. Just Listen to there first Album Metal Church or some songs from it and you will hear what I mean.
@@Metalmaniac82 absolutely. Watch the children pray....the dynamics in that song were Definitely designed by someone who knew their own way around their musical talents. Battalions.....all great stuff.
Agreed! But is there any word on Kurt Arrington? Or the original guitarist and bassist that recorded onto the 1st album; titled 'Metal Church'? It's got 'Gods of Wrath' and Metal Churches version of "Highway Star!" That album is legendary and Epic!!!!!! In 1985 I played that tape constantly. I was 19.
Read an interview with their singer recently. I’m a child of the 80s and have to confess that while I’ve heard of Metal Church, I’d never heard their music. This is great...and I’m glad he’s back in the band. Great story, great guy...great band.
Superb band and criminally underrated ! how can anthrax be part of the big 4 and these guys are not even on the charts. MIke is such a great singer and a real loss , met him a few times was always lovely. the whole band are great and the addition of stet on drums was a dream come true. legendary!
I saw Metal Church a few years back on the Monsters of Rock Cruise. Mike sounded amazing...better than in the old days! RIP Mike. Was so sad to hear about his passing when that happened.
Metal Church was always such an underrated band, I mean who else from the thrash metal community could sing as good as David Wayne and Mike Howe they are the best thrash metal singers
Coolest group of dad bods I've ever seen ! I kid, I'm one of those dad bods too. Grew up listening to Metal Church along with all the other great early thrash bands. Still sounding great after all these years !!
