August 28th 2010 Dad and I went back to the confederate camp . It was my 5th time detecting the camp so i didn't expect to find much but i was wrong it was still loaded. Most of the signals i got were reading as a pulltab and they were found beside logs and in briar patches. Check out the video to see what i found. Good Luck and Happy Hunting Everyone!! More videos coming soon.

About Nugget Noggin:
Hey! I'm Michael, I love to get outdoors and discover awesome things
with my metal detector. I started treasure hunting when I was 12 years
old and shortly after received my first metal detector. Since then, I've
been hooked and just love going out to search for the unknown. You
may see me in the woods crawling under an old house or diving down
in the river to search for rings. Wherever the adventure brings us, I'll try
my best to keep you entertained.

@orangedac i'm not looking for gold right now, this is just a civil war camp, you find gold in creeks that have had gold there in the past. theres no history of gold at this site but i do know a site where golds at but every time i go someone is deer hunting or turkey hunting there. first you gotta get a pan then pan the creeks. when you start finding whites quartz , crystals and lots of rocks with iron your in the right spot. if you wannt find gold with a detector go the austrilia or arizonia.

I knew when you brought up the mental from the Sheppard & Co it was from a very old cast iron cooker used in Kitchens way back 1880's

As always, interesting finds, Michael. One piece of advice, don't ever write that camp off. Even after you are sure it has been picked over, if you go back once a year or once every three or four years you will still pull out some finds. I have locations just like that. For what ever reason you never get it all.

I think the iron you found with the word "Sheppard" on it was part of a lid to a dutch oven. I've seen several that have circular lines running around it in a similar pattern.

Garrett ACE 250($212) or if you want a great detecotr for beginner and pro i would recommend the Garrett AT PRO($595) all i use is the AT PRO now, in this video i was using thr Fisher F75 ($1000)

haha. i started using the phrase years ago.. when i would go to a old house site and find modern pennies from 2006 or so haha.. so i called them stinkin lincolns just because i dont like finding them in the middle of the woods at a house 200 yrs old haha.. now lots of other people call them that.

Of all the stupid reality shows they have out these days that literally show nothing constructive whatsoever, why doesn't one of these networks give this boy and his pops an awesome reality show and let them do exactly what they do here on his page. His videos always have good dialogue to them, he doesn't ramble incoherently, and you can tell he genuinely enjoys this hobby of his. Giving him a show would allow him to make this his career, enable him to get better equipment, and would naturally enhance the experience of each episode. And here's an idea: Let the guy do his own show UNSCRIPTED without meaningless nonsense going on that has nothing to do with the show or the subject matter of the show like all of these other shows out. Duck Dynasty, Storage Wars, Pawn shows, etc....anyhow keep up the good work there buddy and keep the videos coming!
@louise4053
@louise4053 10 лет назад
Boy, you can say that again. One doesn't feel like an idiot after watching this, unlike "reality" shows on TV. Let's all hope he does get a show. So nice to see him and his Dad enjoying a hobby and they don't have to resort to profanity all the time. Actually, not at all. It is really fun to watch.
@schattensand
@schattensand 9 лет назад
He does not need a show, neither he need better equipment, nor more money - ever growing fan numbers on utube provide that too. Everything is fine as it is right now.
@jakebrakeify
@jakebrakeify 7 лет назад
Frank Diesel problem is if they turned it into a reality show they would actually plant all sorts of stuff all around there and then these guys would have to fake like they're surprised kind of like American Pickers or Pawn Stars.
@nuggetnoggin

@michaelpilot1000 never had anyone ask me that question before, lol. it's a modern memorial back penny, i call them Stinkin lincolns becuase they made very cheaply and we find them at the oldest sites evne though there from like 2006 or something. the copper pennys are still stinkin lincolns but when i say that i'm really refering to anything after 1982 becuase they will dissolve into dust after 15 years in the ground.

@sfgman51 it is not goverment property, your right dont go diggin on federal or gov. property unless you want a felony on your record. You can come detecting but i dont know when . i have been to the civil war camp site 11 times now and the last 2 8 hours hunts there i didnt find anything or get on signal. it mostly hunted out. this weekend coming up i'm busy . heading to a 1860's or older homesite than 68 miles down to south carolina to hunt a old town built in 1812.

@planejet42 everyone asks me that question, and i dont know, i only found 1 last year, i have about 35 this year, i found 2 yesterday, in the 1800 and 1900's everyone had a harmonica, all the kids did, and i guess they took them a part and threw them in the yard, but there common finds at old homesites, and civil war camps.

Cool finds ;) I have a question. I live in germany and I heard you often say the words "stinkin Lincoln". Okay, I know that on the front of the US cent is a portait of Abe Lincoln. But why are some guys say "it´s an stinkin Lincoln" when they dig out a Lincoln cent? Is it a phrase that is used in the south to disdain the north in a friendly way or something? Sorry for that question but I could not find an answer in the net. BTW: Happy hunting.....YEEHAW ;)
