A relic hunt in one of the most beautiful forests in my area. If you enjoy nature, this place will take your breath away.
Amazing vegetation, sunny weather, nice colors, old soil and great finds, what more can you ask for?
It was a spontaneous decision to get out that day. I had to improvise with my equipment and because the battery of my main camera died, I had only 2h time to detect.
I changed the area a bit, to not to re-visit the “silver spot”, which would be boring! ;) To my surprise relics started to appear right away. I must have stumbled upon the right spot.
The finds came mostly from the 1700’s era in form of buttons. I also found coins that day. But the highlight came when I meet an old friend, the beetle. It’s hard to believe, but he was carrying a tiny gold nugget! I’ve never seen something like that before. It would be nice to know, where he found it…
All in all it was a great outing. I hope you enjoyed it.
