I really like your style of video. I appreciate that it isn't heavily cut and you show the whole process of searching a signal. Very helpful for a newbie like me!
thank you very much gary we have already learned so much from your videos. A real added value for fans of the XP detectors. Stay save and all the best from bavaria.
I'm planning on purchasing a Deus ll. When I'm investigating a new machine I like to find one channel to use as a primer to keep all the information consistent and relative i.e. apples to apples. Your channel is the one I've chosen to use for this important phase in my detecting knowledge and experience. You are obviously extremely expert on this and other XP machines which is imperative but what I really enjoy is your good natured attitude and sense of humor. They are pleasurable and enjoyable just like your videos. Thank you sir for sharing your hard won experience with all of us this way. Dig on.
Morning Gary - hope all well - as always your editing is excellent and your angles are nice! (I am concentrating on that in your videos these days as I am sticking to my old LITE set up for the time being... not forever though as these videos are whetting my appetite somewhat!) All the Best, Alexander
Love your videos as always Gary along with what you shown with the relic program you also did teach me something really cool that that magnet trick in the back of the pinpointer that's 👍😎
Thanks Gary for brightening my day with a nice video about a new Deus 2 program. Being a gold prospector and long-time user of Gold Field, I can't wait to try this program out. Great Finds........
I want to say thank you to XP. The Hunter GT, Fresno California programed my Deus II for finding silver. This machine is unbelieveable. In less than six months I've dug seventy seven silver coins. A lot of those silver coins were found where I have hunted before (parks mostly) with my NOX 800. Thank you again XP, I love my Deus II.
Hi Gary, another fantastic video mate, and hugely informative as always. I’ve tried Relic a couple of times now, but unfortunately my ground is quite irony so had to give up after a while as I was getting a headache!!hehe definitely a cracking set up for when I get on some quieter stuff though mate! Thanks as always for sharing! Marcus
Nice demonstration there Gary… Horses for courses… I’m liking the magnet you got planned to your Mi-6… I’m off out with my Deus II this morning for the first time… I’ve opted for the 11” coil…. Best Wishes CMNW 🏴
Great video in the Relic mode. I find it's a killer mode that really takes some getting use to. It's a battle between your ears on the tone and your eyes on the display. 👍🤙
As per usual Gaz great bit of technical talk. I've had a short burst with Relic on one of my fields. Not many machines could getaway with upping the sensitivity to 99. I know you like a threshold as do I having used other machines in the past. We must try Relic again soon. 👍👍
Very fascinating Gary, took my D2 out Thursday for the 1st time and I'm amazed at how well its performing and wow definitely punches deep, thanks for sharing with us
Thanks Gary for another top notch video. I just got my deus2 today and will be charging batteries later for a club hunt this weekend. Please keep the information on the dues2 coming . Ps ; i also have the equinox 800 and xp orx .
Tried relic on a stubble field skimming over the top it. Short stubble but still the coil was a couple of inches off the ground and it is incredible at getting deep signals even then. I seriously think the harvest season will be a different experience this year if bashing through it isn’t possible. Just need to shorten the stem so it doesn’t change the usual skim technique. On pasture I find the iron volume hurts my ears, even with iron volume turned right down, so I’ll have a go on your settings. Have to say though that general is getting really deep signals anyway. Thanks for a great video 👍🏼
Relic with iar 5 and respons 1 is my fav program - it can really pick both small and big targets on great depth and it`s never wrong - no false signals :)
GARY, this video is absolutely amazing, RELIC with my Deus 2....??? I will go to the meadow this weekend, maybe it will be clean and I will set the Relic mod. I really admire your patience. Thanks for the wonderful video full camera interaction. Always XP DEUS 2 :-)
aarrgg.. come on, come on.. shoulda dug a deeper hole now... lol how many times has this happened to us all... BUT.. nice to get rewarded that deep. thanks for all the great videos Gary
Nice demo Gary ! I have my Deus II for a couple of weeks now running it on Pgr. 3 Sensitive FT with some tweaks, but surely will try the Relic programm after seeing your video. Thanks !
Thanks for the video. Sometimes I'd like to see you dig your predicted iron signals (especially those with higher tones) instead of saying no and walking away. Btw. you are lucky in UK that you got those pretty big penny coins.
Don’t hate me I’m an Equinox 800 owner. But love these new Deu2’s! Unbelievable depth and audio. Will be watching ,learning , and waiting for bugs to get ironed out before I layout big buck for a Deus2. Thanks Shilohphil
Marilyn, I found a bug in my Deus II. I cannot turn it off. I sent an email to my dealer Saturday morning, and still no reply. I'm in California. I am Frustrated.
@@harrysurtees8710 since I don’t have the Deus , my guess is the switch button is bad. If that button works other features, then it’s in the circuits. This could be just an isolated one in a100 defect, or a major flaw that will need some updating.. Either way Xp will fix it. Sorry you might be waiting for a while, but as they say “ Good things come to those who wait”
@@marilynterry1700 Marilyn, @Finders Keepers steered me in the right direction. I accidentally put it in Dive Mode, and the Deus Manual showed me how to escape. So now I am able to detect again. I too own an 800 and love it. I'll say one thing, the 800 programs/settings are a lot easier to figure out. Have a good day, or I suppose it's nite time where you are? Anyways, have a good one.
Fantastic Gary. Enjoyed this one. Finally paid and shipped my Deus2. Unfortunately, 12 more days to wait from purchase to front door. A bit ridiculous.
Lucky you, unfortunately regtons in U.K. Informed me today that the next deus2 delivery is April, and there is also a waiting list. All the best with your new Deus.Gary is brilliant guy,so much information in his videos none of this ,my machine is better than your machine garbage.
Hi Gary, I'm struggling to find out exactly where the Deus gauge is for estimating the depth of objects. Is it that sliding scale across the top, is it the height of the ferrous/non ferrous boxes either side, or is it the pin pointer box? Why on Earth doesn't the Deus guide book explain this? I'm sure you'll tell me and stop my frustration.
Gary I really appreciate in videos you put out. Will be trying out the relic mode on the Deus 2 on some hunted out civil war sites here in the US. Do you think that XP might increase the discrimination in that mode? Do you have a magnet glued on to your pinpointer? Thanks. Terry Greenway (Columbia, Tennessee USA)
Hi Gary, one thing I would love to know with these programs is how they compare to No1 General. ie would you have found it anyway with No1? If it's not too much of a bind could you switch to 1 and compare next time?
Hi Gary, 'You might be getting me interested in that Deus ll!! Guess I'll have to sell my old Deus, since it's not water proof. Maybe one of my Nox's. I just hate to wait 3 months for it to get here!! I wonder how good it will be in the big city?? Near power lines!!
Would be careful with the iron signals, it happend almost everytime that there was a small silver coin under a bigger iron target. Thats why i love the deus 2 with the one i nerver heard them out.
@@The-skillschool Used the deus 2 about 4 times since i got it, 3 times it ocurred that i wanted to close the hole after i got the big iron out and had no more signals after detecting over the hole, but i decided to go in with the pinpointer again just to make sure. I found small coins in about 20 cm depth. Its what i experienced with a customized deep programm. But Maybe it was luck who knows. I also must say that i dug some holes where there was only iron.
i went out today for first time using relic mode and i dug deep iron a few times i also found i was getting 1000s of signals 00-10 going to take some time to get used to
My Deus II froze. I was trying to change a few settings and it froze/ well, I cannot turn it off? Besides, how do you know how deep your target is, I'm not able to find a depth gauge?
@@finders-keepers1518 That's it. Thanks to you, I went to Diving Mode, page 28 in my manual, and was told how to unlock. I cannot say enough "thank you's", thank you , thank you, thank you. I am happy now.
@@The-skillschoolThanks for the reply. I have one more questiom, did you actually find anything by dowsing or it was just a helpfull indictator for finding detecting spots?
How I long to have soft ground to dig in. I dig in the concrete soil of the desert southwest USA. The soil here is no fun to deal with especially when it’s 90+ degrees 🥵
I’m having to dig holes with a pick axe ⛏ The parks are a little more forgiving (softer ground) A labor of love. Especially, with the Deus ll. I keep my sensitivity at 85, reactivity at 3 and I’m still digging 6”-7” holes for targets. Have to love it 👍👍👍
Why not use deep HC? Isn't that it's intended purpose? Deep higher conductors.. and based on the manual showing it drains the battery quicker, it must be doing something different.
