Nice video. I've been using a 4" wire wheel with a drill to clean up old rusty files I pickup at estate sales. Works great. I think I have about 30 files-mostly Nicholson. Use them for restoring vintage hand tools.
Kona, Hawaii Home Depot tool section associates did NOT know what a metal file was…they look on there phone and said aisle 18, We were standing in aisle 18, then they walk away.. There face look puzzling when I ask where is your metals files located? These tool world workers did not know what a metal file was
The teeth are angled forward so you’re only cutting metal when you push the file. If you put pressure on the file while dragging it backwards, it may dull the teeth prematurely.
