Imagine a game or movie where you played as Anakin, but instead of just controlling Anakins actions, we also have to fight the Vader that was filled with hatred and evil during order 66. Like Anakin is fighting himself and loses throughout the game/movie, so but he wins in the end right as he helps Luke kill the emperor. And throughout the game, it's like not only physical, but mental battles as well.
This comment section has shown me just how desperately we need a really over-the-top hack&slash Star Wars game full of quotable phrases and postmodern humor but still loyal to the franchise's standards and with a little bit of political subtext. Or in other other words: Star Wars Jedi Rising.
I watched Star Wars for the first time around the same time I was replaying Metal Gear Rising and for some reason I always thought this theme fits Luke and Vader's fight scene, didn't think someone else thought the same 7 years ago.
