So with that, the scenario might be like this: Sam: Hey, what did you do to Wolfie? Mistral: What? I am just giving him a lesson that he will learn- Sam: By forcing it to serve a tomboy e-girl like you? Mistral: *_SHUT UP OR I'LL KICK YOUR ASS OUTTA HERE!_*
There was a time someone 10-11 years ago tried modding Sam in Raiden's place, but at best it could only reach before the quick time events before it crashed.

(X 24:00 Also, Sam knows some serious taijutsu hand-to-hand combat dark sorcery. Every single one of his frontal strikes actually dealt a blow to Armstrong's back.
This honestly makes me think that in an alternate universe, Sam is the main character of the game and is meant to be a one-off, but becomes so popular that he ends up becoming the new face of the Metal Gear series.
This entire thing was awesome from start to finish. Sure, there are things that look janky and awkward, but my biggest gripes -- the lack of facial animations in cutscenes/gameplay cutscenes (?) -- were happily resolved, complete with Sam's own unique vocalizations in place of Jack's. Also he kept the pony-tail. The entire first segment of Armstrong's second phase, before the lyrics kicked in, is top-notch perfection. I actually turned up my headphone volume just because.
@@demoliman The thing is Monsoon has to land one hit to end the fight(His sais) (and he's stupidly quick (He outspeeds raiden casually). And monsoon is really really durable and fast(You literally can't land a parry counter attack on Monsoon unless he is in his lean mode)(Even at the end of the fight Monsoon is still almost completely fine) i'd say Monsoon takes it mid-high diff with Sam winning under certain reqs.
@@Tachiarai With arguably the worst boss fight in the entire game. People can say skill issue if they want, but it bothers me more than it should that Armstrong is just given objectively stronger attacks in the DLC. You know that QTE in the main game where he charges at Raiden and disarms him, allowing you to deal damage if you time things right? Well, in the dlc, he charges at you, forcing you to use defensive offense to avoid him, and he charges multiple times depending on the difficulty. Not to mention that he also goes rage mode at 30/50/75/100% health depending on the difficulty, and in this mode it's pretty much impossible to deal damage with the charged attack because he's just that fast.
@@shemage5932 The worst fight compared to the others in the game tbh, I mean I no-damage him in reveangence but most of the time you are REQUIRED to be lucky to do that. The fight is insane and one of its major flaws is that the player can't really create room to counterattack, there are very rare moments where HE lets you counterattack him, and in even fewer times you can use the charge attack (the exception being only a few attacks, which only further pushes the luck requirement). The fight is basically "be lucky and hit him while you avoid literally the same attack over and over again". The fight is not horrible in general, but really lacks the creativeness and enjoyment compared to the other fights in the game.
Ah yes. The alternate timeline where after fighting Raiden for the first time on the train, Sam sees the error of his ways and decides to team up with Jack and stop Desperado's evil schemes. One can only dream. Miss you, Sam :')
Well, actually, judging by Sam's appearance, that is him before he lost his original right arm. So in this scenario, Sam decided to beat all the desperato before fighting Armstrong.
@@samuraijackson241 More like Sam never lost his arm for whatever reason and wasn't trapped with desperado. Bladewolf may have also been his turning point if for whatever reason that changes things to where he never met Raiden.

Sam holding his sheath or scabbard in his left during the Mistral's qte Zandatsu felt like one of those action movie protagonists with some sort of underworld history & kendo training.
Ya know... its been a whole damn decade of playing this masterpiece of a game and not once did i ever think, "what would it be to play as Sam or Bladewolf" especially after their DLCs released practically giving them full movesets, much less any of the other bosses... comes to show just how damn well they did in this game that the thought didn't even come to mind, at least for me anyways..

he in fact did not deny his weapon its purpose. I wish this was actually in the game this would've been so cool just because Sams move set is so unique.
if they ever remake the game, imagine how cool it would be you could queue as sam and as option when fighting sam would be that it would be other player! (Never would work imo, but its an idea)
Yeah I know like the game is story driven but they should at least let you have more freedom after beating it once like using different weapons in the prologue and Armstrong fight
funny thing I juts noticed, at the end of the mistral bossfight, sam puts his sword into a non existant sheath on his back, even tho his sheath is on his hip
The only thing this mod is missing is the real way the muramasa gets sheathed but since at the end of the Armstrong fight Raiden never sheaths the sword so the mod doesn't have a place were it can sheath the sword a proper way it uses the default sheath of Raidens sword
Honestly, I think MGR would’ve been better with Sam as the protagonist. Raiden should be with his kid after MGS4. Or the final boss should’ve been you and Sam vs Armstrong. Killing off Sam was a mistake.
Well, I think one of the reason Sam wanted to fight Raiden is to see if he's strong enough to have a chance of beating Armstrong, if you remember the playback of Sam talking to bladewolf, you will realize that Sam doesn't have the intention to fight alongside Raiden. Though I would that Sam and Raiden working together sill be a cool alt universe.

Thanks but the Sam qte mod is not mine, it's Ru4slan's. The only thing I did was add some Raiden effects (like ripper mode) and adding dynamic faces to Sam during qtes. Ruslan is not the modder from years ago btw. And yes the taunt doesn't work because it's a special function for dlc enemies.
