Regarding the Outer Heaven Logo. To the people saying that the symbol facing the left doesn't imply evil, I would ask you why they no longer use it in future games? The connotations of a military power using a Swastika. In 1987, Outer Heaven were just pure evil bad guys, and they illustrated that by invoking the Nazi party. The symbol's origins are irrelevant compared to it's use since World War 2. The intent was clear, adding it to a scary looking skull was purposeful, and IRONY also exists. Ask yourself why they used it. And why they don't anymore.

Even on the primitive MSX hardware, you can see Kojima’s filmic sensibilities and stylistic flair shining through. Only thing that changed was the technology that allowed him to fully embrace it

You missed a golden opportunity by showing Volgin grabbing Naked Snake by the balls when talking about how Kojima's Metal Gear series grabbed US by the balls.

The flamethrower guy became the inspiration for the Fury in Snake Eater.

The enemy uniform remark may have been referenced in MGS3, where The Boss took off Snake's Raikov disguise calling it a "fairy disguise"

Fantastic video! Not a lot of people have played or know of the original Metal Gear, so I'm glad you made this Humble Beginnings episode.

To this day, the NES building music is the music that plays in my mind when I'm doing something all sneaky like, lol.

It is very surprising that the series went from a pretty light story but some cool ideas in play to OMG the story is compelling......but WTF is the cutscenes so damn long lol. That proves the dedication that Hideo Kojima had and still does to this day. That said Die Hardman.........yeah Big Boss rolls off the tongue more and yes the cardboard box is a friend to everyone......except in Survive when it may be the cause of us being in another dimension because the box is a dick lol. Regardless, a soild Humble beginnings video on the first METAL GEAR there Clement!

Fighting Psycho Mantis when you had to switch your controller from slot one to slot two , the use of the vibration feature for example when Dr. Naomi Hunter gave you a shot after beeing tortured by the best enemycharacter - Revolver Ocelot - mindblowing back in the good old days!
