Konami have released new details regarding Metal Gear Solid: Delta Snake Eater including but not limited to the various visual filters, camera angles and redesigned menus.
This game is a day one buy no matter what. Player needs to support this game, we need MGS back and needs more remakes of it. Support the military stealth genra as well. This game is the reason why I bought a PS5, I cant wait to play it.
I was a teenager when the original MGS3 was out. I honestly thought after MGS5 and Kojima being outed, this would be the end of the series. I know this is not a new game, but this really makes my heart melt to see that they even thought of doing this. At 35 years old, I don’t have as much time to play video games but when this game comes out, you can bet I will now have time. I fully support the developers, especially in the remaining MGS titles that I hope will follow. My greatest thanks to Noriaki Okamura.
I haven’t played a MGS since the original game. I’ve never been a fan of stealth games but after seeing the trailer for the latest game I do want to check it out and hopefully I get into it and enjoy it
If they wanna go chronological, than peace walker/ portable ops would be the next best bet. But I’m really hoping for a metal gear 1&2 remake. That would be so amazing 🙏
It makes sense that they would start with MGS3. I wonder how they will remake MGS. The Twin Snakes broke the game when it introduced 1st-person perspective.
Judging by the approach to the MGS3 Remake by mixing Animations from 3 and 5, it's likely that a Possible Peace Walker Remake would borrow a lot more mechanics from MGSV, considering that MGSV is 80% identical in design to Peace Walker anyway. Which would culminate in an MGSV Remake in Unreal Engine, giving us a Big Boss Trilogy of Remakes.
They could release a version to test with the players who are dedicated. That way any new people trying to bash the game will immediately be recognized. Plus the dedicated players will help push the game to its preferred level. Although i want to try all new ideas. I think just release the main game as only improved graphics. Any other features like audio, voice, modes, controls etc as dlc. I think thats reasonable. Any major features should be optional not mandatory. Then everyone can input their finished product and ideal version. Since everyone thinks their a game dev lol
Agree, I can wait as long as they deliver an epic experience. Obviously, bringing in new players is a big focus, of course. However, I am hoping they deliver on the experiences and story we all fell in love with in the beginning, when we played it growing up! I am so f*****g for this nostalgic title to be released
2:27 They need to fix the grass Animation in the ego perspective while crawling. It doesnt react, its just stiff and disappears. Overall the Remake looks very good so far. But i'm still worried about minor details
im sure they'll add it in before release, as the game isnt gold yet. small detail like that is probably something they add later in development. even so, there's enough little details elsewhere to make up for it

if this game is popular enough for a continuation of remakes i would cry if they announced a next gen peace walker remake, with full cutscenes, an mgsv style mother base, that would be beautiful
Agree. Starting with 3, they should stick to the timeline now, PW being the next logical step. That said, PW is my least favorite MGS game (think its potential was held back by handheld design). A remake taking notes from TPP in scope and mechanics could definitely change that.
@@notagoodname602 portable ops is great, but its not part of the canon story or the "mainline" series. id take a rerelease but a remake isn't necessary
Okay so from what I've understood on this video is first In regards of controls it's still gonna have that classic controls while having the option of "Modern controls" similar to MGS:PW, 4 and 5. 2nd is because they're doing this chronologically doesn't that mean we'll have Portable ops and a Peace walker remake as well? Honestly I don't think we can see Portable Ops cause in terms of if it's canon or not that depends on the players but for the most part Peacewalker is very likely. But then if we go by that logic do we skip 5? and immediately go to the OG Metal Gear and no not the original 3D one the NES one iirc. Do we start from there then the OG MGS? Seriously this is some interesting turn of events but dang I'm afraid that they might fumble this honestly if Delta is handled with care then Remakes with updated controls should be great that most MGS fans should be eating well.
Probably David will voice all the snakes because they are clones except for Venom but we all know his voice is similar to Big Boss's voice,if not That will be a plot hole because the characters will know Venom is not the real Big Boss. @bastid.1662
So basically there f**ked either way, cause Kojima fanboys and girls are going to view this afront to there one true gaming design god, and they shouldn’t touch metal gear without Kojima being 100% involved, and modern players need this because there not going to go back play the original or they tried the collection and didn’t like the controls. You need to have played every metal gear game just to sort of understand the history involved, and characters involved in this soap opera of a story line.
Hope they add new parts to the game without taking anything out. The maps felt huge when the original came out but in today’s age it simply doesn’t hold up. I can beat the original under 3 hours without trying
Yeah as much as I appreciate a remake of MGS3 that game still holds up pretty well today whereas the original MGS is damn near unplayable now. That’s really the only MGS game that really needs a remake
I agree. I am hoping there's a smooth transaction play like MGSV was although MGSV was open world. No stop pausing and waiting then going again. It's was annoying then and with today's game standards, hopefully the gameplay will be a steady continuous play.
Slightly disappointed in the camo index system. Needs to be updated for a modern game. Instead of a naked option at the top, why not just add a shirtless off/on toggle instead? That way, the trouser camo can look different from whatever camo you have selected. So when you are shirtless you can still be wearing the Squares, Raindrop, Olive Drab, Black or Leaf camo trousers instead of being locked into one camo option for trousers. Imagine how cool it would be to mix and match, have different camo options for top, bottoms, webbing pouches etc... Calling it naked also disingenuous. It would be cool to go trouserless too!
The problem I have is that it's going to be the same PS2 gameplay from 20 years ago. I haven't played the game in like 10 years but I remember everything about it as I played it so much. Should have actually changed the gameplay and made new locations. I'll likely just watch a few videos of gameplay but it's just not interesting enough.
I do want updated mechanics and pacing like resident evil 4 had. I think threading the needle of preservation and updating makes a great remake. Like the fear fight left a lot to be desired. Many of the fights are dated and I think could use more dynamic ideas implemented to them. Like I think the biggest mistake the re4 remake made was keeping the giant fish boat fight relatively the same. In fact I would say it’s worse. Because instead of 11 shots it needs many many more. And if I remember correctly they even made conditions where the fish gets its health back. I don’t mind if they keep the game hard or even make it harder. I just want the quality of the pacing and the ideas of the boss fights to be fun expressions of the bosses. This is why the end was such a legendary boss fight. My interpretation of the metal gear solid gameplay is it’s basically a bunch of boss runs with enemies you get to screw around with in between with fun challenges as well. These challenges also may give you creative clues on how to beat these bosses. I think if the team is good enough and daring to challenge themselves they should update the creative lense of how these bosses and mechanics function in a way that’s idealistically true to the original. I honestly don’t know how you would fix the fear boss fight. But I do know he is basically just a weaselly mouse with traps and the end and the sorrow were much scarier boss fights then him. Because the sorrow built up a philosophical or maybe just psychological (depending on how you look at it) atmosphere about your actions and the story with lots of hidden story forcing you into a state where you have to confront things and think about them differently. The end stretched your knowledge about the game and offered you an enemy that’s more competent than you with the fear of losing meaning starting over a boss fight that’s beyond your current grasp. I’m not certain why I should be afraid of the fear or respect them. I feel like we can start by him not self appointing him that title and maybe there just being a story that attaches that to him. I think he should also be more prevalent throughout the story and have implications he was following you and knows about you. If the boss fight has direct counters to the gameplay you implemented though out the run to that point would be good to. This could potentially turn this into the most dynamic boss fight out of most games making replays of this boss fight different from game to game. Even adding a 4th wall breaking mechanic where the fear adapts to multiple game over screens could potentially be good as well. Like every 2 or 3 game over screens he develops some psychological link to the player and changes what he does. And i don’t think this should be done with traps. I think the traps should be very few actually. Like they are hard reads of your movement. The game telling you you are being predictable. And the fear often stands right in front of you and hard counters your strategies. That would be more scary. I could imagine this being more annoying as well. But the fear should feel like an unstoppable force with knowledge in my opinion. Instead of a weasel who yells FEWAAAR! Every few seconds
Does anyone else remember the scandal that they tried to remove Heidi Kia Jama‘s name from the credits and metal gear solid five with an update as well as trying to pull original copies where his name is listed on the back which is also why there’s a bent over poster with his name on it in battle gear solid five when you’re escaping the hospital

Agree. I guess, it's good to have this as an option for people, who like tindering with filters. The only time I used filters in Ghost of Tsushima, Akira Kurasawa legacy and it fitted there so damn fine.
@@Detsurasu I can see that. My only issue with filters is it’s almost like photo mode where video game creators like to market it as “extra content.” It’s not. In this video it’s almost the same thing. I’ve always felt like it’s lazy. Extra content should be more outfits, side games, better weapons, dlc, etc. Still excited for the game tho

Im hoping for European Extreme. If they leave that im happy. Also wouldnt mind harder difficulty plus VR missions. I feel each level should be allowed a VR mission prior just to train for an uppcoming situation. That would be fun and actually match the setting of a soldier training to go into battle with new tech
About to replay MGS3 through the collection. I platinum it 4 years ago on a whim when I wanted to replay it and noticed I didn’t have much left to do to get the platinum so I did. Fuck the last two Frogs though.
I like the original start menu intro a lot with the cool CQC showcase, but the question is can we do all of those moves now in-game? It’s a great opportunity now to flesh out the CQC combat system for the remake and make it more cinematic and satisfying.
I hope this game does really well and they end up remaking all of the games. The only issue is MGS1 and 2 would feel a little claustrophobic in this style, so I hope if they do those they will expand upon the actual interiors and make them feel more fleshed out rather than a 1:1 recreation in the current engine.
Man I spent way too long on the original start menu as a kid baxk in the day. Changing the colours etc. i hope they keeo all the cinematic gimics like the zooming in and the icons flying diwn the screen for the intro etc
Just throwing this out here in hopes they can still change it. For some reason Snake wears the pistol belt over his harness at least on the front side wich is not how this equipment was used. The harness has two layers and the pistol belt goes inbetween them so it acts like normal webbing gear would wich is done mostly correct in the original game.
They made L3 holster the gun without firing and some other changes to the controls to make it work. It's been that way for all MGS ports since MGS2 was ported to original XBOX.

I hate to complain but did anyone else notice that everyone wanted a solution to pausing the game every time to change uniforms and they still left the survival viewer the same just updated the graphics? I actually have a very easy fix. how they have new and legacy controls, for the legacy style it should be the old version where you pause the game every time you wanna change outfits and for the new style they should incorporate something akin to Octocamo from MGS4 where you press against something and the game automatically assigns you the best camo and facepaint you have based on what outfits you've already collected.
Why are they advertising this game a lot if it MIGHT come out next year? If they were to release it this year it would probably be september or october
