This was an amazing boss fight. The first time I did it (and succeeded in the end) I was doing this for about an hour straight, I had just good enough weapons and literally just enough support markers, because when I finally did finish this boss, I had only a few bullets left for each gun, no rockets left, and no support markers left. It was a close fight because I was slowly but surely doing damage, and finished with almost no health, and no rations. It was amazing.
+TheRubbaRazza yeah I had the same, it took me almost 3 hours from start to the end of the credits it was one of the best boss battles I have ever played
Killing a giant robot with nothing but rocket launchers and a LMG all by yourself is seriously one of the most badass things that can ever happen to you in a videogame.
First time i fought it, took me a good hour to beat it. It was hell. One of the most epic fights i have ever had on a videogame. Did'nt bother much leveling up my equipment before so it was everything at base level.
Rex and Ray are manned Metal Gear, Peace Walker was an AI, which is able to sometimes outthink and think faster than any human, making it usually more effective
This was one of the toughest battles I've played in a video game, and when I finally beat it I was on my feet cheering. No game series has ever had me do that.
@DiamondFang That's because Rex was designed by Granin and sent to Huey Emerich in America. I'm assuming that Peace Walker was an expansion on that design. During the course of the Peace Walker mission Huey vowes to never work on Metal Gear projects ever again. Presumably, Huey destroys the Peace Walker plans yet the Rex plans are still floating around in Washington.
I've been a fan of this series for a few years now, before MGS 2 came out and I've got to say this is The hardest battle I've done in the series. I've beaten Peace walker battle 2 before but I've had no luck on it this go around. I can see both sides of this one, but I do agree this battle can be a real challenge.
I see her as the final boss, Twilight Spark... I mean, Paz piloting ZEKE as the final boss of the postgame, but Peace Walker is the final boss of the main story
I understand why people find this hard but I blame it on your weapon choice. For example the law, RPG-2 and XFIM/FIM all suck against it. You should be going for the RPG7, M47, Gustav, Grim Reaper and the M134 own PEACE WALKER. When using these weapons; she is so easy the completing PW custom with S rank will be done with ease. If you need help defeating her, this is my PSN ID: pred8tor786 (MGS HD Collection)
For the life of me I can’t figure out that mechanical oof whenever something electronic gets damagedor blown up Heard it a Shiz ton of movies, heard it in teen titans go the first episode when cyborg lost his arm and got slammed into the rock, this game, Spider-Man ps4 when throwing those electrical boxes, that’s all I can think of at the moment
Absolutely one of the best boss battles ever. Such a pure amalgamation of art, music and gameplay. It took me 3 attempts to beat it at 45 minutes each, but it was fun enough to keep going. I hope to [insert deity here] that they make a "subsistence" style sequel for this on the PSP2 or PS3.
Can someone please explain this to me, preferably a MGS expert: so Portable Ops, Peacewalker, and 5 are prequels, yet the Metal Gears in each seem way more advanced than many of the ones in the modern times days. So exactly how are these considered inferior within the context of the story?
I'm not saying it was easy, but I just beat it on my first attempt. It took me 38 minutes and 58 seconds though. I used lot's of supply strikes for ammo. Surprisingly didn't finish my rations. She kept going on the other side of the buildings and that wasted time. Anyway - AWESOME BATTLE. This is my 4th MGS game to be going through and that was just a great battle, probably the best. The music was perfect. Very good game! Love it.
this is fkn bs, it went behind the building then went to launch sequence i cudnt hit the pod there was nuthin i cud do, it seemed impossible, is there a way to stop the sequence when its behind the buildings and facing the other way, like its back to you so u cant hit pod?
i had the same euipment as this guy in the video, and i passed it after the first try. yeah the music was epic. completely agree with diamondfang, in my opinion all the ai weapons in peace walker are way stronger than rex or ray, kinda funny
@DiamondFang I blame it on the order of story development and when games are launched. you get prequel after a sequel and all the improvement get added to the latest-past-future games @ _ @ ;
did anyone else notice that the battle suit from "Metal Gear Solid:Peace Walker" is identical to the stealth suit from "Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater"??
WTF is wrong with my game? Mine has a countdown for just 1 minute and i automatically lost if it runs out. How come this fight last more than 1 minute?
Tips to the people who can't stop Peace Walker's launch mode: -Shoot the Legs (with rockets) -Shoot the Nuclear Container (with rockets) That should stop it.
I have a major problem, i can only carry like 2 heavy guns, and have no clue wtf i have to do to be capeable of having more guns... i can carry 2 heavy guns + placeable /throwable stuff... Anyone got an answer on a how to???
Just make sure you use a lot of rocket launchers, and make sure every hit you make is a perfect one, then keep using the supply call ins or whatever. If your able to dodge Peace Walkers attacks you should be able to take him down.
Also a few tips to u all S-mines can be shot down and will damage peace walker EM pulse is negated when nuclear launch mode is active Em pulse can be cancelled using Anti tank mine (my ultimate leg drive counter) U can grab peace walker when it tries to crush u God of war style Carl gustav is a must for this battle it is the most accurate missile in the game and the fastest(lock on ones dont count) try to get in a shot before it actually enters launch mode and most important LOOK UP! ;)
i got it to it's last 4 bars then it decided to launch the nuke on the other side,i blasted intensiley with alot ofmy missles but the sun of a bitch never went down so i lost the mission,i can still remmeber kaz saying "oh god it's gonna launch!"
@DiamondFang That's what you find funny? Not the fact that a giant, agile, AI driven, nuke-launching mech was built in the '70's? Not that it is far superior to any of our modern-day technology?
I remmember when I got this and I finally got to peace walker battle 2 I just kept dying and dying finally I dont remrmber what group it was that gave u more supplies for every support drop but moved more people there and I finally beat peace walker
