Say what you will about Twin Snakes, but Psycho Mantis had one helluva badass battle theme ^^ I guess it's pretty fitting for one of the most memorable MGS villains.
@@waynegmng9527 I mean, The Boss is a great character in general, but I'd say all of the Cobras in general are great bosses (even The Fear...to an extent) But Vulcan Raven would still be the best OG MGS boss battle to me ^^
@@tsnophaljakarax9963 I got to admit Raven is such a tough character, even tho he's not one of my favorites, it's overall a tough battle and a great character, he truly deserved more attention tbh
@@tsnophaljakarax9963 I think there is a little statue of Mantis just floating with stuff of the commander room at his feet, I want one but I think they're hella expensive, and just for the record, don't worry we're all nerdy here haha
I used to blast this at 2am while dancing as if I were a chill cucumber in my room with the door and windows LOCKED while being the grooviest jive turkey in the whole entire world. Oh, how the housemates would bang on the door and scream in anger through the wall, door and window . I would simply say "IT'S USELESS!" Back to em. When they busted In and took my operation down I would ask "Why?! Why couldn't I read you?!"
@@LegendaryPlank What about the armory and the cavern alert themes? There’s also the rope escape and all the boss themes, the rendition of Mantis Hymn is also a thing. You just gotta look through all the tracks and you’ll find something really good.
the one scene where i enjoyed twin snakes more was the psycho mantis boss fight, holy fuck it felt even more trippy, weird and even more over the top than the original
@@java20422 many people complained that they voice acting didn't felt the same, also, i like both versions, but i gotta give credit more to the original, because it build up more atmosphere, while on twin snakes it felt like an action matrix edgy movie, the thing i liked more about twin snakes was the graphics, the mgs2 mechanics, and this theme
@Fabio GTX nostalgia blindness. I never played both of the gamed but saw complete walktrought to both of them, and as an outsider, I can safely say both version have ok to good voiceacting.
twin snakes got way more hate than it deserves. I'm not gonna try and defend how over the top some of the cut scenes are, but most other complaints I've heard are stupid like "WAAAAAAAAHHH this game i love looks better, has first person aiming and a few other quality of life improvements"
This is a reason why i wish Twin Snakes was included in the MGS Collection the music themese were so awesome i would love to hear them thru my Sony Pulse headset playing this on my PS5
I wanna call up porn shops with this blasting in the background while I'm asking Hey, do y'all have any porn flicks of pyscho mantis banging Meryl ? It's not for me! I'm asking for a "friend", and the friend is to "embarrassed" to ask himself. He also wants to know where to find some extra small condoms for his iguana. The iguana's name is Jive Turkey.
Decent PC running via Dolphin emulator with widescreen hack, 8K native rendering scaled down to 4k played on a giant 4K OLED TV with a kickass stereo and powered sub is the only correct way to play MGS1. There are those that say the barely visible, blocky graphics, shrill poor quality music and sound effects of they PSX version of the game are better. They are also wrong. Not even ePSXe is gona help you there, you're basically polishing a turd.
