Having played the integral version for the first time in the Master Collection; The ability to play the whole game in First Person Verson and the alternative (harder) guard patrol routes easily makes integral the definitive version IMO.

Man I still remember the first time we got to play as ninja after getting 100% on the VR missions disc, that was probably one of the top 5 times Iv been that hyped from a game! So excited for newcomers to experience the MGS series for the first time 🔥 I’m now 34 and will 100% be grabbing this

I think its awesome that Integral is included in the collection. I figured (if Integral was to be included at all) that it would be modified to be like Vanilla MGS1 but with all the Integral bonuses added in; much like when Mario 64 in 3D All Stars was based on the 1997 Shindou Edition.

Yrs ago on PC by accident when i found out snake had a Silenced MP5 in his inventory.. it blew my mind.. im happy to say i own a Japanese MGS 1 Integral port with a Imported PS1

Mgs1 has the original audio track on an English language release, finally, and that's going to be the bomb

I bought the pc version of MGS back when it first came out so this is how i've always enjoyed the game except for the very first time I ever played MGS which was on my ps1. I loved the first person mode where I could actually walk and shoot in first person.

I think it was a fail to not try to drop twin snakes

Also I didn’t even notice the very easy mode lol it would be so much fun to now thru the game and get the suit!!! How do you get the invisibility cloak? I guess I can save either Meryl or Otacon? I don’t remember but I’ll try different stuff since I’ll be playing to get the suit

to be fair integral on PC allowed for FPV mode by double tapping the first person view button, all VR missions are unlocked when launching the VRexe, and the PC allows for hot swapping of weapons using 0-9 on the keyboard, this of course can lead to some game breaking glitches such as a much easier weapon swap glitch that doubles as a god mode in most cases. Honestly the GOG version is probably the most definitive version despite it being an older release.

I know about the new features in Metal Gear Solid Integral. As for another Character getting a new outfit, it's Meryl. Not only she has a Sneaking Suit similar to Snake's, but it's complete with a Bandana. Because I guess her Policenauts counterpart also wore a Bandana. Same with the Twin Snakes Version, she's wearing the MGS1 Sneaking Suit, but doesn't have her Bandana for some reason. Unfortunately there's no Japanese voices in Integral for those who are into the Japanese language and purest. I tried it. Apparently Kojima wanted to include the English voice overs in Integral, but when he found out that Jeremy Blaustein the localizer of the game changed his work including Psycho Mantis's last words, he didn't like it that he decided to let go of Jeremy because he wanted a literary translation of his work. He intended Mantis's last words to be "This is the first time I've ever used my power to help someone... It's strange... 'Such a nostalgic feeling...'" or "I've missed this feeling..." Because of the nostalgia Mantis's mother gave birth to him. I remember there was no Ninja missions on the Integral VR game despite I completed them all.

Honestly not sure whether I prefer Japanese dub or English. The latter is my childhood, the former would probably add a whole new layer of madness into this game that I haven't experienced before.

Dont worry yall, they added a PC specs on steam to run MGS, recommomended is gtx 980 with i5-7600, im pretty sure were are getting a full hd/ 2k and 4k resolutions, this games are 20 years old there is no way u need i5 7600 and gtx 980 to launch these games on 720p....

It is incredibly DIRTY that they'd bother including the Integral version of MGS1 on the Master Collection, but not Substance or Subsistence of MGS2/3. Like why?

I love this collection but for $60 or $20 for each game they definitely could have done better, technically all we needed in the MGS1 collection was integral and with Nintendo’s go ahead The Twin Snakes, MGS2 was fine as is, but MGS3 should have been the Subsistence version with both theaters, online mode and Snake Vs Monkey.

i wish i had seen your videos before doing my play through on the "classical" version, well I'll do my big boss rank on the integral one, after a quick test it seems a bit more responsive too (not really sure tho).

So it has game journalist mode... I mean very easy mode.

Goddamn, I just realized this collection is releasing alongside when Sonic Superstars, Mario Wonder, and Spider-man 2 are being released. I get the feeling that this collection might have trouble selling well in the busy end of the month of October.

They should remake MGS1& MGS2

The only issue is the game isn't made to play in first person or was my experience for MGS2 Substance, so the enemies don't spot you in some obvious ways when you're looking at them through first person. In my opinion it basically makes the game cheese, unless you suck.

I still have the PC integral port (And Substance!), was dissapointed to hear Subsistence wasn't for PC, though... Regardless, wish I could experience JP Integral myself, a shame I am too broke to do so lol

Is anyone else experiencing an issue with MGS1 Integral? I’ve now completed it on Very Easy & Easy difficulties and still no First Person Mode option, Bandanas let alone Stealth Camo. After the credits roll it just goes back to the main menu

I'm fuckin PSYCHED for this collection. Couldn't care less about the remake of MGS3. I want a decent way to play the classics I grew up with, not some Unreal engine bummer for modern tastes designed to appeal for people half my age (which is basically the FF7 remake, too). These are the games that got me through middle school, that made me want to write stories, that made me think and feel outside the box. MGS is pure gold.
