Personally i like SWOLA better , but have nothing against his wife. You're correct about the douche bags though. Unfortunately that's the cesspool known as social media. It brings out big mouthed cowards who wouldn't say these things to your face. That's why i don't belong to any platforms other than youtube , i try to stick to just music related sites , but even here the trolls pop up with their negative crap!
Yes.!!! Indeed, you got the point👍👍.. there are always somebody who don't satisfied to what people do..they should do it themselves and see if it is good or not😄
I absolutely love AIC and I was devastated when Staley died. When I heard that they got a new singer I thought: "no way that is going to be good", but when I heard that song "All secrets known" I was blown away.. The singer is like a reborn Staley in a good way, and I never thought that to be possible with the fact how much I loved Staley. 🔥
Absolutely love the new series! It’s awesome to see you and Louise interact. The naysayers are just jealous! This new every other week setup warms my cold metal heart!
Alice In Chains has always been my favorite of the Seattle bands. Then again, they’re just my favorite band in general, soooo. Lol. And also, the Black Gives Way To Blue album came out in 2009.
Hey Ola "the goat whisperer" Englund. Love the show, don't ever worry about a few haters. And Louise, you're doing great. Love you guys. There's so much content on the internet these days that, people get oversaturated and feel like it's up to them who does what. Not the case.
For me Mudhoney, Tad, Green River, and Soundgarden were what got me into the Seattle scene. I saw Soundgarden a couple of times in very small clubs during the Ultramega Ok . During the first month of the Louder than Love Tour they maybe had 300 people at the local theater. Then Nirvana broke and later that year Soundgarden sold out the same venue.
First heard of TAD while watching the movie "Brainscan". The movie soundtrack also included a Mudhoney song. When I was younger my friends & I used to rent the movie all the time since it was supposed to be like an acid trip & we were too afraid to drop some or we couldn't find any 😃
I love how Tad's hilarious DIY video for Wood Goblins was actually rejected by MTV for being "too ugly". Think how history might have looked different if Tad was the first grunge band to blow up. Wood Goblins was a much "grungier" video than Smells Like Teen Spirit.
You two jamming and celebrating the music you enjoy in the begin is an awesome way to start the episodes, this is a great series! Nu metal for a new episode would be fun.
Hi Ola and Louise. I just wanted to tell you: don´t listen to negative comments. The show is pretty cool and I can't wait to see what other sub-genres you will discuss and speak up. I personally consider that the channel has a bit of everything that interests us guitarists or fans of Rock-metal music in general, so it's very good. It's a pretty solid proposition. As a plus, it is very entertaining to see you as a couple, how you do all your work with love and passion; you guys have a very nice family. And well, I don't want to extend myself any further, I simply send you all my support from Colombia and I hope you continue to do everything that you do because you do it very well. Thanks and best regards,
Louise is just a family man loving his wife, and that’s great in itself. The new format needs some polishing still, but, like the hodgetwins say: do WHATEVER DA FUK you wanna do. Cheers Ola (and Louise)
I absolutely love the new show and the new ideas, I literally look forward to it every week! Also, outside of native speaking English countries, I'd say Sweden and Scandinavian countries are the most fluent by far. Just my personal observations...you guys are killing it!
Love the new segment, fk the haters, sitting at home alone with their keyboards. Everything Ola related is great in my opinion. If anything, more Louise! Not being creepy 🤣
Take no notice of the negative comments Louise, I like your involvement in the Metal Morning show. It isn’t just about Ola. Besides your face is much prettier.🙂🤘🏻
New shows awesome. Keep up the good work. Brought back memories talking about recording the radio. Nothing was worse when you finally got the song you wanted to hear and the DJ talked over either the intro or the outro
I like you having the wife on. She makes me laugh. Plus its a interesting dynamic seeing how she interacts with you being a metal head. New show is good.
I look forward to the content (of course) but the laughter I get is priceless. Adding Louise is just a bonus. Pure bonus. A lot. Thank you Ola and Louise!
Hi there Ola! My other half Steve, (who is also a guitarist) and I watch you guys every week. We totally love Louise...she is awesome. What a lovely lady. You can see on her face how much she loves you. We look forward to watching your show each week and love it when Louise is on too. Take care both of you xxx ❤
Thanks for reading the slave comments! It immortalizes how pathetic they are! 🤣😂🤣 Absolutely Love seeing you guys! All the the way from Philadelphia Pa 🇺🇸🤙🤘👌👉 🎸
I think, sometimes, people might want to hear from you and not Louise because they want to hear from someone who has this musical point of view from touring and playing for a long time. But having someone else to talk about musical genres, from another point of view, is actually really awesome! The best musical talks I have are with my mom, who doesn't even listen to metal at all! It's all about bringing as much points of view as possible. Keep it up Ola! Much love to you and Louise
Maple neck with rosewood or ebony. Alder or poplar body. Neck through. Red like the epiphone Jupiter 1984 but see thru wood grain. Satin black hardware. They had great neck profiles. But use medium to medium jumbo stainless frets. Easy to play. I would buy one
regarding new Grunge, check out "Swain". They started as hardcore punk, but got more and more grungy, with their latest album also having elements of Post Rock. Narrow Head are great, too
Grunge is Black Sabbath + pop music. I love it! Great show, Ola and Louise! 👏👏👏👏 Missed Stone Temple Pilots, Jane’s Addiction and Smashing Pumpkins, there. The riffs that sound “more metal” in grunge are Corgan’s and Cantrell’s, to me.
Pumpkins aren't even grunge but yes they do have riffs who are more metal (as in heavier and more intense, not doom or sludge) than anything that came out from Seattle. This shows how genres and labels really don't make sense. Corgan sonic range is so wide because "We just followed the Beatles/Led Zeppelin business model", going from super soft to devastatingly heavy.
I love this new format Ola and Louise. Keep it up. Also, I totally remember waiting with my fingers on the record button of the vcr to record my favorite videos on MTV or music from the radio. haha
I love hanging with Ola on Sunday morning and drinking coffee. It's been my ritual since I moved in my new house. Keep it up. Fresh ideas breed fresh ideas.
back in the days when i didn't knew english(i still suck) i played all SEGA games without any clue about what the fuck is going on, but that was fun. Also we can have a lot of lulz from auto subtitles
I don’t care for genres. There are only two kinds of music in my eyes: good music and bad music. Nirvana, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam and Alice in Chains were/are great bands that played great music. And they were quite hard rocking. I‘m a metalhead and I could never understand the animosity towards those bands. Lame copycat bands like Creed and all the others that have been promoted under the pointless term Grunge by the music industry were far more annoying in my opinion.
@@mlody969 each for his own opinion, for me Nirvana is the band that got me to Rock and Metal and the band that got me to play guitar so I owe a lot to nirvana
@@mlody969 Nirvana had it all: songwriting, almost perfect lead guy, rocking. I dont understand liking metal or rock and not liking Nirvana. Its like being a metalhead and you were never into Melvins.
@@mlody969 Nirvana is an easily misunderstood band. Kurt Cobain played some very heavy metal-like riffage (Sabbath, KISS), Aerosmith) with a bit of late 70's classic rock (Cheap Trick, Zeppelin, Boston) in the mix. He presented the music as DIY punk, drenched in psychedelia. He marketed himself as a "punk-rocker" while playing songs that were on the cutting edge of metal. For Bleach, he had harnessed that sound (with Soundgarden on his mind) into an almost perfect Sub Pop grunge. "School" is an excellent example.
Good feedback don’t need a noise gate 🤘🏽 Lighting crashes.... bar chord workout! 🎵she got a Nikon camera She gonna take you for a ride Ola don’t her Kodachrome Ola don’t her Kodachrome away.🎶
I love that she is in it.. shows more of a family life... ola great job.. it’s good to bring her into it.. she does all of the behind the scene stuff.. btw can’t wait to get my ultimate pack for the starzinger album.. GREAT JOB OLA
You guys are right up my alley with the newer AIC stuff... All Secrets Known is probably in my top 5 for AIC, BOTH eras. The “new” guy (who has now been in the band for what... 15 years?) brings a lot to the table as a guitarist, too. A seriously underrated component of their sound these days. Glad to see Euphoria Morning getting some love recently... such an amazing record, largely ignored in its time. Worth a listen whether you’re into SG or not. I love the new show, and also alternating it with SWOLA. Keeps it fresh for everyone. Keep doing what you’re doing.
Louise is great. You guys are great and really seem to enjoy eachother's company. There's plenty of gear related content on your channel (which I watch of course) but we should all feel honoured that you share a glimpse into a famous metal couple's life.
My wife and I love watching you and Louise talk about music and stuff. It's a nice insight on you both. Don't let the haters bother you. She speaks English just fine. I only wish I had picked up (let alone remembered) more Swedish as a kid. My grandmother was literally off the off boat from Sweden twice, and I grew up in a city that had more Swedes than anywhere else in the world outside of Sweden.
