Bring me the Horizon is now the band where you can press "shuffle" for their entire discography and be surprised with what kinds of glorious tunes you'll hear! All so different, fresh, and yummy!
This is why I love this band. As someone that listens to a lot of different genres BMTH is one of the only bands i can listen to shuffle with a little bit of everything.
@@differentangle2017 Not for me, actually. Amo holds something sentimental to me because at my wedding my wife and I danced to Mother Tongue for our first dance. I also enjoy softer sounds once in awhile, so it fit the bill.
People don't seem to get it that without AMO, this would not exist. Even though this is heavy, it has so many experimental electronic cyberpunk elements to it that only are there because of AMO. nihilist blues ft. Grimes was a stepping stone for them. Now they have mastered all the elements: Heavy, Melody, Catchiness, Production and Lyrical Value. They have the highest density of bangers out of any record this year. 9 songs heavy with love, dedication and passion. Can't wait for the next Post Human EP.
@@kkkkadotto amo is my third favorite album (probably fourth now) just "losing" to Sempiternal in second and That's The Spirit in first Now Post Human gonna probably become my second favorite
Can you blame him I mean New movies delayed People dying due to covid Having to stay home A bunch of companies having to shut down because they're not getting paid I'd be pissed off too
@@danielgibeault8060 That and his Old Fan including me ofc shitting on him because AMO. But seriously though, that time when AMO get out i kinda piss off, but after knowing that album was Presented to his Relationship, who am i to tell Oli man.
This has something to do with but. They were teasing there heavy return for years now we should've all seen it coming. Especially since oli said this was the 'year of the gutteral" and that his voice was fully healed. Plus there's a ton of heavy sound clips for other songs in post human it's kinda fun seeing what clips they use in what songs like the opening scream in kingslayer was recorded by itself like 8 months ago😂
tbh i think they don't, i just think they like all of these era and this time they wanted to play a bit with everything. Maybe the next EP will be soft, maybe heavy, maybe ambient or whatever... Honestly they are unpredictable cause they just do what they want
@@florencefaulkner782 they constantly cater to fans, they play songs from CYB from time to time even when they don’t want to cause it’ll fuck up oli’s voice
Without Amo, this wouldn't exist! They needed the album to get the expirimental side going. Bmth has a great future ahead. They are at their peak at the moment!
@@awrely Hey, he wrote all of the first albums with others and played them live perfectly all this time. With that pointed out, I guess there is no question in his skills in bass.
They seem to have a lot of gaming references on their songs. I remember back when oli had that blog or something called the adventures of oli sykes, there was a lot of geek stuff in there that he shared. Ludens was the big win, working with kojima after being a fan of mgs.
Resident Evil 1 - Keeper's Diary: Its about a person who worked in Spencer Mansion during the outbreak he's infected, but turned into a zombie slowly as the disease progressed. He was even more and more deeper into dementia and rotten flesh where used to just itch. May 15th 1998 Even though I didn't feel well, I decided to go see Nancy. It's my first day off in a long time but I was stopped by the guard on the way out. They say the company has ordered that no one leave the grounds. I can't even make a phone call. What kind of joke is this?! May 16th 1998 I heard a researcher who tried to escape from this mansion was shot last night. My entire body feels burning and itchy at night. When I was scratching the swelling on my arms, a lump of rotten flesh dropped off. What the hell is happening to me? May 19, 1998 Fever gone but itchy. Hungry and eat doggy food. Itchy itchy Scott came. Ugly face so killed him. Tasty. Itchy. Tasty.
What's crazy is for me, it was the "weakest" song on the album, yet still was a banger of a track. This is EP was so much more than I thought it would be.
Nobody expected BMTH to go like this but it was a pleasant surprise. And for the people who thought Oli couldn't scream anymore this is the proof that he can.
what i don't get though is how he sounds really good on dear diary and then sounds meh on parasite eve ALL THE KINGS HOARSES AND ALL THE KINGS FRAHNDS DONT KNOW THEIR ARSES FROM THEIR PATHOGAHNS also his voice sounds extra autotuned/pitch corrected on that track
AMO was like the eye of the storm for me. I liked quite a few songs off AMO, but it felt like the experimental album that needed to happen to get us this gem.
From what I've heard, Mick Gordon just made the guys a sample pack that they used throughout... but for all I know it expanded to the whole project at some point.
@@XLRider2 Whether it was just a sample pack or Mick straight up producing, this release only benefited from it and the payoff is the most satisfaction I've gotten as a BMTH fan since Sempiternal released. I'll be bopping this for a long time.
Fun fact about some of the songs on this album. Mick Gordon worked on some of them. Mick Gordon has done the soundtracks of the 2 latest Doom games and the latest Wolfenstein games. Oliver Sykes was playing Doom Eternal when he realized how much he liked the soundtrack so he found out who made it and then contacted Mick to work with them. Love the sounds that Mick brings to these songs.
I have followed bmth since the beginning and everytime they release something I feel like a kid at christmas. Its so amazing to be able to follow them and see them evolve even further.
This album is the epitome of this year. It’s angry, it’s anxious, and it represents all the creativity exploding out of everyone who has nothing else to do but everything they can. I haven’t stopped listening since it came out and Dear Diary sets a helluva tone.
There is a sweep solo on pray for plagues. You forgot about that solo. They have a few man. Their guitar players and bass player are all actually really really good. They just have their egos in check.
Your reactions vids are one of the main ways I find out about new music releases lately and we share the same vibe while listening to it for the first time 🤘🏽 keep up the good work my dude
Fun fact: Lee used the first ever guitar that he recorderd with with Bring Me The Horizon to record the guitar solo because it reminded him of Count Your Blessings
Dude I think the main thing i love about Bring Me is the way they speak to me and how they try something new in each album. They're so full of variety but still keep their musicianship. They put so much energy in their music. 🤘
you should react to whatever songs you haven't heard from the album(s) before Sempiternal, would be a nice throwback, songs like Crucify Me, Anthem, Fox And The Wolf
The drummer was definitely the "angry" one, that kickwork as you said was just 👌 and that short solo caught me off guard too, loved the energy in this track for sure.
This is just the beginning of the 4 parts of Post Human titled albums, let's see what they have in store for us! They really surprised us after Amo, and I really liked Amo a lot, maybe Amo is my favourite BMTH album, who knows? but the return to Metal is just surreal in my opinion. A really great album, and a great reaction as always. Keep up the good work man!
This album is just fucking insane... like what am I listening to?! Every song is so fucking good and so different to each other. BMTH you are gods fullstop.
This might become my favorite bmth album. Sempiternal is my current favorite. That album got me through some hard times. CYFMH and sleepwalking are probably my 2 favorote songs of any album, ever. So fucking good. But this album is also amazing.
