Finally! A real craftsman shows us how to shape a patch panel we can relate to. Not a god dam nose cone for aircraft, not a aluminum section of a Ferrari. Really appreciate you sharing your skills, knowledge and experience. You rock chum.

Hi Lazze. After I came across your channel maybe 18 months ago, I watched every one of your videos! They are excellent, but today I think this is THE best 9 mins or so out of all of them. I'm amazed that you made such a significant shape in such a short time. Well done. Regards Mark in the UK

It is a pleasure watching you work the metal.I can see the rythym using the shrinker and wheel is important to gain speed in fabricating the pieces. I am building a Sportster into an ADV type bike using 16 gauge aluminum for the fenders and gas tank.Your videos are very helpful and much appreciated.Thank you Sir.

Compliment from me. Great video, well explained and could be very clearly understood. Being a metal worker myself it was a pleasure to see your talent. While listening to you it became clear that you explain so well because you not only have experience but can feel what you are about to do. That is why you are successful at what you accomplish. Have a nice day!

good explanation, its all about the cutting, bending, shrink,and stretching (the way you combined those determines the shape your creating in your sheet metal), I am still wondering though when you choose a planshing hammer machine vs english wheel vs the smaller shrinkers/stretchers in general. As well as creating the borders around panels such as fender, door ,and window panels to name a few.

shrinker/stretchers are great if you want to make mincemeat out of your panels. ok if you have an expensive english wheel to smooth out, otherwise hours of planishing & sanding. always preferred sandbag & hammers, also better for developing skills.

AWILDTravis whis special hammers and special wood anvil , you can do this fingers in the noze like we says in france . You must do a - sorry for this word , i don't know what do you tell that in english- , recook ? In french " Recuit " a thermical process who give soft resistance to the metal you know ? Sorry for my english
@mikejose8966
@mikejose8966 6 лет назад
The English term is "anneal" (I do not know where the word comes from), but "recook" may even be a better word since that is exactly what you are doing. "Cooking" the metal again to relax it.
