They are AMAZING live. They honesty have some of the best live vocals of this generation of K-Pop in my opinion. Don't watch their music show performances, though, because those shows don't allow them to plug in their instruments (you can tell they are cringing along with us). They do a lot of music festivals, though, and they play those live. They also play live on programs that are more friendly to live instruments. Some things I recommend (in order): 1. They've done two performances on Immortal Songs 2 (a program where artists cover old songs). The most recent one is my favorite, although one of the keyboardists couldn't perform because he was mourning. Still, I really REALLY recommend it (it's so good and everything is live). 2. They recently performed this song, Freakin' Bad, on Mushroom Live. The instruments and vocals are live and it's one of my favorite performances from them. 3. This one is a bit older, but a while ago they performed at Seoul Music Festival. They performed multiple songs, but my personal favorite of the ones they performed is "Sucker Punch". 4. They are also famous for doing REALLY good band covers of K-Pop songs. Some I recommend are their cover of "Tomboy" by (G)I-DLE, "Hellavator" by Stray Kids, and they recently did a cover of "Dynamite" by BTS. 5. Other live performances I recommend are their radio show performances and their performances on "it's Live". I would like to point out that they write and compose a lot of their stuff themselves, too! I recommend all their B-sides and all the music you haven't listened to yet. If I had to pick a song it would probably be "Good Enough" from their new album, Deadlock. Don’t let the cute looks fool you, these guys can genuinely play…really well. Jun Han [lead guitar] actually shreds his guitar [always in his own world, just killing it]. I think Gunil [the drummer, and leader]also plays guitar. Yeah, they can play live and they have great stage energy.
They're so stupidly talented, as a fellow long-time metalhead who kind of lost interest in music for a long time they've really revived my inner headbanger in such an unexpected way. You're right that they're this perfect blend of rock and that sort of stray kids energy. It just works so well for me. This isn't exactly a lyrical masterpiece, but it's still been stuck in my head from the instant I first heard it which to me is exactly what a title track should do. It's got some hair metal vibes yet I love it despite being a devout hair metal hater lol. And there's at least a bit of lyrical fun, since they managed to sneak "f u c k y o u" in as "if you seek it, why owe you". Which I find extra hilarious that they're the jyp group who managed to do that bc off stage they're very sweet, soft, silly boys lol. You should definitely look up their live stages for this comeback and their previous ones too, I promise they're 100% genuine in their playing and their live vocals are insane. Fair warning on the most recent ones, Jun Han caught a stomach bug right as they were about to do their big comeback performances so he's not in most of them yet. But Gaon does a great job covering his guitar solos and he is in the 2nd night of their comeback show which wasn't filmed officially but there are some decent quality fancams out there. For other recommendations, you really have to check out their cover of gidle's Tomboy. It kicks so much ass, I don't know what they feed Jooyeon but whatever it is works bc damn he eats up that song. I'd also highly recommend checking out both of their appearances on Immortal Songs, their latest was just today actually. It's a competition show where each episode centers on a legend of Korean music, typically someone older who's had a long and storied career, and a bunch of current artists pick one of the legend's songs to cover. Sadly there aren't very many clips from the show with translations on youtube, but from what I can gather in comments and such the competition is really focused on the vocals so lip-syncing is not allowed and they're expected to have minimal or no backing tracks. Needless to say, XH smash both their performances, and all the other competitors as well as they legends whose songs they covered seemed to really love them, though sadly I don't think they won either time.

I suggest you to watch their performance of this song on the program "Weekly Idol" or any other on a variety show, if you watch a performance from music shows such as Inkigayo, MBC Music, Show Champion or MCountdown, most of the times, because of many artist doing their performances, they don't allow bands to play their instruments so is just a back track with them performing like it was real...

I really recommend their live of this song at Mushroom live, and also their latest cover on Immortal songs 2 was amazing. On music shows such as mcountdown or music bank they only sing live but their instruments are unplugged cause those places are sadly not equipied for bands
Same metalhead and K-pop fan too, xdinary heroes is the perfect combo for us . They participate in their lyrics which is really cool. Their comeback video unfortunately isn't live , apparently some sets aren't prepared for real live bands (same happens to day6 which is kinda sad) , but anyway on a RU-vid channel called "mushroom company", they did "freaking bad" live . No backing track , all live. And it was awesome. Check it out for sure. I feel like this comeback is their best so far , the energy is insane , their guitars are great especially the mat black one . They are my main music in my ears recently.

Telling the truth I'm really impressed with Xdinary Heros, I've been a villian since their debut with happy deathday, and their music is just so unique which I love. I love just how unique each member is but they fit so well together, this comeback is just simply amazing and I love it and with every comeback they just get better and better and I'm like how can they make their next comeback even better My bias is Jooyeon and my wrecker is Gun-Il where as my younger autistic brothers bias is Jungsu

These guys are the real deal! Most of the members were musicians before they were scouted by JYP Entertainment to join the band. Gunil (leader and drummer) was actually scouted while we was still in the US (he went to Berklee College of Music). They are also involved in the writing process for their music and have continued to get more involved with each comeback. Their newest album, Deadlock, has (in my opinion) their strongest works yet. I'd recommend listening all the way through. Gunil worked with Young K from Day6 (another band at JYPE) to write Good Enough, a ballad and departure from their iconic sound, but really shows just how skilled these young artists are. They are also label-mates with Stray Kids and most of them were Stays before they ever joined the company. Gunil in particular was a huge fan of SKZ long before he was scouted. Jooyeon (bassist and main vocalist) joined Bang Chan on a recent "Chan's Room" YT live he was doing for just a moment while he was on break from band practice. After the album dropped, Felix was on Bubble recommending some songs from the album that he was really enjoying. They did a cover of SKZ's very first song, Hellevator, that is both faithful to the emotions of the original, while still showing XH as their own group. Also, if you haven't seen it yet, SKZ just announced their comeback. It will be their 3rd full studio album and drops June 2nd: youtu .be/6emgiatRGu4
They’re incredible live! My biggest request, even though it’s a cover, is their Tomboy cover. It’s showcases how they add their own style to covers yet it doesn’t feel forced. Also if you’re a metal musician, I just need you to see your reaction to Jooyeon’s vocals in that one; that’s all I’ll say🤭.
Honestly they're so much better live. They do have some live performance videos on their yt page (labeled as live clips) that are mostly from their first mini-album where they've performed their songs Knock Down, Sucker Punch, and Pirates. Other than that they've also been on a different channel where artists do live band performances of their songs called 'It's Live' where they've done their title tracks live (Happy Death Day, Test Me, and Hair Cut) and a cover of another k-band (The song is I'm Serious originally by Day6). You can find some concert clips of them as well from their showcases. They do music show performances in Korea which is basically where k-idols promote their song by performing it on tv but unfortunately these shows don't allow bands to actually plug in their instruments so even though they're singing live, the can't play their instruments live. I REALLY recommend the first few songs I listed and their performances on the It's Live channel, you won't regret it! These guys are so talented, if you have time after checking out their live performances you should definitely check out more of their b-sides too.
They record a lot of their music in a band setting with a bare room, the members, and instruments. They also do covers which I often like. And they perform live in front of audience. Look for Pirates live, **Knock Down live, Hair Cut live, Test Me live, **Helevator live (Stray Kids pre-debut release), Bicycle live, **Sucker Punch live and much more. I stared a couple that are my favorites. I really like this band. They have quickly established a unique sound that is unlike anything I’ve heard from anywhere. They are musically talented and creative. And they’re a band who collectively writes and produces their music! I LOVED your analogy that they are the child of Stray Kids and the Rose! 😂😂😂😂😂 Very apt! I’d love to see you react to the bside good enough! The song is in English and the lyrics are developed from a poem that gunil (their leader/drummer) whilst he was in Boston studying at Berklee. He wrote the poem whilst on a beach reflecting on a love he had with someone that couldn’t be. With help from a different band’s (day6) member and the members helped develop the song. The song is beautiful and emotional
