Metal Vocalist First Time Reaction - McFly ( 3 LIVE SONGS! ) 

Dougie rarely sings (which is a shame) but when he does it’s really a treat. He has the traditional “punk” voice, Tom has the voice that fits practically everything, and Danny has the voice that is fantastic for rock. That sort of combination doesn’t sound like it would work but it absolutely does. Also the lineup has NEVER changed. They were 15-18 when they first came on the scene and they’re now 35-38

Mcfly are so underrated...There is so much of them, absolute talent

The whole new album is a love letter to the 70s/80s/90s which is why Route 55 had that vintage feel to it. It was also co-written by Mark Hoppus from Blink 182. They collabbed with him a few years ago on a song called Growing Up which definitely has B182 vibes to it 🙂

What a good way to start a Sunday! Thank you for the reaction.. Really love Mcfly’s vocal dynamics. Tom’s vocal is agile while Danny had lots of range. Dougie’s always wild of course! But together they sound sooo good and CLEAN as u been saying so many times haha

Oh I love finding new reactions to McFly on yt, it's so rare but always a pleasure to watch! I've been following McFly since I was a kid, while all my friends were screaming for Jonas Brothers I couldn't understand them because I was already in the McFly hole and once you get in you don't get out, this shit is for life! 😂 You will find their songs very different from each other, because they experimented with very different sounds on some albums, which didn't please some fans, but I particularly love bands that try to innovate their sound, even if sometimes it doesn't work out very well, for me it's always a good adventure to follow! If you want some McFly song recommendations for future reactions, I think some of the band's classics would be cool: POV, too close for comfort, that girl, all about you, one for the radio (honestly, selecting this band's classics is not easy, they've been a band for 20 years 😂

So I didn't expect to see you reacting to Mcfly! This is awesome. The pianist you describe as having a clean voice, that's Tom and I feel that comes from his having gone to theatre school where they teach that kind of clean and clear for the West End stage voice (he was even in shows like Oliver as a kid!). The guitarist who does the solo in route 55, he talks a lot about growing up hearing singers like Bruce Springsteen as influence but he also few years back did a reality competition show of celebs learning to opera sing and he did great at that and I do think that ever since some of the breathing and volume techniques he's kept with his more regular singing. Dougie, bassist, he was like 15 and dropped out of school for the band. He's always been a huge blank 182 fan so I can only imagine how amazing collabing on Route 55 was for him. He's personally my favourite vocalist and although he doesn't take lead often, they do do b side/alternate 'dougie's version' of songs at times which I've always loved. The mental health themes have been super important to them. For their ten year milestone they released a book going into things like struggles with a bipolar diagnosis and with addiction among other things. As they'd been famous since teens, they sort of at times get seen as 'cheeky chappies' rather than adults with their own struggles. The fact that they've shared these things with fans to help destigmatise the topic is pretty great imo. As a wheelchair user, I love live music but can find big shows overwhelming and unsafe, one of the few I have attended was McBusted, where Mcfly joined with their 'best mate band' Busted in a super group playing all their hits. It was so much fun.

All of mcfly are nothing if not phenomenal musicians! Even Harry (drums) is so musical! He met his wife on tour actually, she is an amazing violinist and they had live violins with them on their wonderland tour! That's something I've always appreciated with them, they had one album that was more digital, but other than that they always play the intrumentals and have a lot of live instruments on tour and out on stage, like trumpets for star girl.

Love McFly. Been a fan for +15 years and finally going to see them live on Friday after too many years. You should react to the live version of “Lies” (same concert as “Nowhere Left to Run” and if you want some backstory then react to McFly: The Musical.
