Metal Zone MT2 x Distortion DS1 

Have both and can't really compare the two one for metal and one for classic and blues. Have both on my board. Use a boss super overdrive after a ds-1 and you can play everything from metal to classic to blues. Metal zone get panned all the time, but it is an awesome pedal. Boss ds-1 is the original classic and the most bought pedal in history for a reason. Boss has always made the best pedals. Lead guitarist since '78

Metal zone has a crunchy sound .....good for metal and distortion....

Ds-1 is for who play normal overdrive & sometimes love also distortion but Mt-1 is for them only who play metal & heaviest distortion!

first of all THANX for the video. Yap, have them both, and both are great. And yes they just complement each other.

in metal context, Distortion ds-1 is the best for solo and lead while Metal Zone mt-2 is best for rythm and riffs

The DS1 sounded noisier. I personally enjoy postpunk music so if Id use these they would probably be turned up a smidge, but it seems like the metalzone is less muddy, or am I mistaken? Whats the reason many people hate the metalzone anyway? I have a big muff and people love those

I love the sustain the metal zone puts out better.I have both on my pedal board, but for some nasty blues, i use the DS-1.

My opinion, you cannot just plug the MT-2 directly to your amp's input.. plug it through the return port of your amp bro to get It's best performance.. This sound was awful for metalzone.. i have no amps and i use Joyo american to helps sound out better... While on the stage if i'm lucky, i use the return separately to plug my metalzone

To me, if you had an ISP Decimator..tweek the tones ,you'll get a better comparison

Eu tenho um pedal Marshall Jackhammer, e está chegando para mim o Boss Ds-1 waza craft, e o metal zone waza craft. Meu cabeçote é o Fender FM 100H. Minha sequência no Amplificador 1° o jackhammer, o distorcion empurrando o jackhammer, e o mt-2 empurrando o ds-1. O Jackammer é só para deixar o meu ampli com o som da marshall, e o mt-2 vai deixar meu ds-1 com uma distorção porrada. A galera que diz que o Mt-2 não presta, não conhecem nem a palavra equalizador. Sad, but True.
