You have quickly become one of my favorites reactors because you appreciate EVERY member instead of just hyper focusing on just one. Your enthusiasm and tears and goosebumps are infectious and makes me feel like I’m listening to these songs for the first time all over again ❤❤❤. I noticed you haven’t reacted to Mad World yet and…it’s breathtaking so I hope you can get to it soon.

Yes, Mitch has a monster range. I'm glad you got a chance to hear him kill it in his lower register in this one as well as his beautiful high register. I am astonished that five people can all have such huge range and flexibility. These are some top tier musicians. I am so happy you'll be seeing them live!

Yeah. Mitch knows he's evil slapping us the entire song with a grin on his face. Mitch really is incredible duplicating the female high leads on these songs. Then Matt and Kevin duplicating the techno instrumental and rhythm sound so perfectly. Ptx just is the best out there of any kind of music group doing medleys, they are so epic. Transitions as good as top DJs can do.

Mitch obviously has the best high range, but he can go shockingly low as well. He has a crazy range, they all do. This was so much for to watch with you.

If you want to see Mitch doing some serious vocal gymnastics, I strongly recommend you check out their cover of “Gold” by Kiiara. It’s a stunning piece, and I think way under-covered.

I just don't have the words to explain to you how contagious your joy of Pentatonix is. I feel them more when listening to them with you. You are the life of their party lol.

They sang this medley live at the Hollywood bowl in September. You should react to that too because it’s amazing and of course no auto tune post production so even more special

You said you were happy there was a Dutch song in there, but you may have missed one ;) While The Vengaboys might be the obvious one with "Boom Boom Boom", the song "Better off alone" is also Dutch. We first heard the song on the radio as an instrumental version when DJ Jurgen released it and afterwards they added a vocalist to it, releasing it under the name Alice Deejay. It shows how much influence The Netherlands had in the 90s that Pentatonix chose two of them to include in this medley.

"I'm blue" dropped my jaw because it sounds better than the original 😮. I wish that part was longer 😅

The chances of this group coming together was so infinitesimally small that only the powers that be in the universe could have made it happen. I’m glad they decided to do that to allow us mere mortals to have something to brighten our days. Three kids meet as children who love to sing and decide to keep singing together in school and local theater. As a side note, can you imagine trying to keep those three reigned in in high school choir? Scott, Mitch and Kirstie say that she did help them learn to blend better. They become life-long friends. Scott befriends Ben Bram who helps Scott get on The Sing Off. Ben introduces Scott to Avi. Scott talks Kevin into giving up med school at Yale and joining four strangers to compete on The Sing Off. They actually win the show. Sony drops them so they decide to start building their Pentaholic following on You Tube. Viral videos, and great music follows, and they get resigned to Sony. Avi decides to leave the group and they find another great bass in Matt. While Matt is not Avi, he is still excellent and I think he blends even better with the other members of PTX. If anything happens differently along that path Pentatonix does not exist, and the world is a lesser place.

I'm so happy you managed to get tickets and looking forward to hear about the concert. In the US, Pentatonix audiences are appreciative, but not always very energetic. A lot of fans mostly know them through the Christmas recordings and tend to be older and not as apt to leap to their feet or clap along. One huge value Matt adds to the group is his energy in live concerts and ability to get the crowd excited.

As someone who graduated high school in the early 90s, I don't know how anyone can hear this and NOT sing along.

This is one of my all time favorites!! Mitch's range, Scott freaking awesome, Kirstie... just hot.. Matt's base touches my soul and what can we say about Kevin... he is a monster!!! LOVE your reactions. A big fan!!!

the 90's was and still is the best decade for dance music ever... no one will ever convince me otherwise some of these songs especially those around 1993 bring back memorys of me working door security with 500+ people on a saturday night all dancing to some of these tunes what a great time that was,

Mitch does have a great lower register, but we hardly ever get to hear just how low he can go. The group did do Take On Me, years ago. There's no official video for it, but I'm sure there is a lyric video of it, and you get to hear his lower register in that one. It's quite surprising to hear it. Loved your reaction to this!!! The Five Faces of New Pentaholics 1. The most common is the Mitch Slapped. Commonly found when Mitch is heard for the first time in Hallelujah, The Prayer, Can You Feel the Love Tonight, and doing Aha! at the Star Vista. 2. The Wide Eyed Look of Disbelief. Normally found when you hear their Wall of Sound. Found when listening to Mary Did You Know, Imagine, Amazing Grace, The Prayer and Mad World. 3. The I Didn’t Want It to End face. Most commonly found after listening to the 90s Dance Medley. It can also be found after listening to all their medleys and evolutions. 4. The Teary Eyed Look. This is commonly found when listening to an emotional song of theirs or just the sheer beauty of their work. Commonly found when listening to Mary Did You Know, Hallelujah, Amazing Grace, Imagine, The Prayer, Prayers for This World and most especially Thank You. 5. The What Did I Just Hear Face. Happens when Pentatonix starts strong, or when you hear a really special note or Kevin sound. Is usually accompanied by rewinding the video or song to make sure your ears really heard what they heard. Those times are too many to list, but the most common rewind at the start moment is the beginning of Sound of Silence.

So much fun and so glad you were able to get tickets for the concert. I just checked the tour schedule. I think the band may be one of the hardest working groups touring today. Currently touring across 15 countries and has 45 upcoming concerts and odds are they will do a Christmas tour. Not forgetting the short tour in Australia and New Zealand they did in March.

I saw them in Melbourne Australia in March... they were incredible and opened with Sing (an original of theirs) The song is so much fun and the clip has a heap of cameos in it too.

These people are the most lovable, honest, impressive, dynamic people in music today. The feeling and heart they put into everything they do is laterally OFF THE CHARTS. They brought a whole new meaning to " a cappella" and took it to a new planet, completely changed the face of the genre. Home Free followed in their foot steps and gave the genre a country extension to a cappella. There isn't anything they can't do. Where one group leaves off the other takes over and yes they do know each other, and I hope some day the two groups will do a collaboration of songs. Mitch has a wonderful, warm lower register that he used to use more in their early days. I absolutely love those tones though this high notes are pretty extraordinary.

And a little PTX origins trivia for you to entice you to do their Sing Off journey: they have been toying with an arrangement of Cher's Life After Love since the 'Guilty Pleasure' round of that competition but did Video Killed the Radio Star instead to tribute the group that was eliminated in the previous round. That arrangement was arguably the moment they really found their sound. I think you're definitely in a prime stage of Pentaholicalism to see their insanely good performances in that comp, before seeing them live. Some reactors have done a Livestream binge of these....just saying.

I think part of their genius is the support staff they attract AND KEEP! How many superstars have behind the scenes people that love their job? Make up, wardrobe, lighting engineers, security- many of whom have been with them for years. Ben Bram the 'sixth member' has been with them since the Sing Off. You don't get that kind of support if you are miserable to work with.

And the joy in your face! They bring so much joy to this world.
