When you look at Metallica's complete catalog, they are one of the most diverse and complete bands in history. I know a lot of people don't like Load and Reload, but they compliment the rest of the catalog very nicely.

Load is officially my favourite album ever, no fooling

I was in high school when Load came out and saw them on the '98 tour in Virginia. While not my favorite album, I think it's one of their best. I'm a guitar player myself and from a musical standpoint, this album is phenomenal. Dueling leads, multi-layered guitars, great production. Speaking from experience, as you get older you get tired of playing the same old thing day in and day out. You try to learn new things, broaden your horizons and expand your repertoire. They've done that here and as musicians they are all the better for it. It's okay to not like it but try to understand where they are coming from, they had been basically playing the same 3-4 styles of songs for 20 years and wanted to do something different. Mission accomplished. Rock on mother fuckers!!!

I wonder why they haven't included this song in their setlist recently, it totally rocks, I love "Load".

Cunnimg Stunts is arguably the best live performance the band has ever given. Jason was on FIRE and his bass tone was beautiful.

Fucking Jason man….. every moment he goes near that mic the energy levels just go up by 10. He was so under rated. could of brought so much more too so many more songs if they didn’t hold him back.

I like how he started this song by basically saying, "I feel good, but I wanna feel better"... This song puts me in a great mood no matter how I'm feeling.

I bought this DVD, and I've watched it so many times! :D It's a great show! Jason was such a stand out in it.

This song is so underrated, to me. I absolutely loved it right from the start - and just about the entire Load album, too. But Ain't My Bitch just never fails to make me want to get up and jump around. It's so energetic and fun.

And Kirk plays a slide guitar solo here, possibly the one and only time ever, but he just fckng killed it. First time, last time. Totally worth it. More slide, Kirk.

This song deserves way more credit

Cliff layed the foundation, Jason took over and pushed with the others through crazy times and contributed live like no other being pretty much a second frontman behind James supporting him fully and Robert brings the ship that is Metallica back safe home

My opinion, this is the best line up metallica ever, so many people are good playing bass, but few people can fit into the band

This was the first Metallica song I ever heard. I was in the back seat of my dad's car with my brother and sister; my sister and I were probably 9 years old, our little brother was 6 (around 1998). My dad played this at full blast off his "Load" album that he had on cassette tape. Became an instant Metallica fan and will never, ever forget that day ♥

It's SO good to read a lot of the comments saying good things about Load, and Reload. I love this track. Great way to open an album. I don't see that period as a sell out, if Metallica had kept rehashing Master Of Puppets time and time again it would have got boring for them, and us. That's just my opinion :\

Metallica is the greatest band of all time. If you hate on load or reload you’re a close minded “fan”. Every band changes and evolves, they couldn’t make ride the lighting in 97. This is absolutely perfection; it blows my mind so many people hate it.
