As a Cardiff boy, this means so much. Budgie really were one of the UK least recognized bands. All the glory taken by brilliant Midlands bands (and they were bloody good too).
Actually my favorite version is that by Florence Black. The singer’s voice makes it edgier and the riffs are a bit less mechanical. Even if I am a Metallica and Budgie fan.
im happy that metallica treats the small venues just as energetic as the arena's no matter how big they have gotten they still enjoy the little gigs long live metallica !
John Burke Shelley - Original Bassist and lead vocalist of Budgie - passed away (at the Age of 71) yesterday on the 10th of January 2022. This is for him.
I grew up listening to budgie thanks to my late father amd have never stopped, one of the most underrated bands that have been, from maesycwmmer south Wales 🤘🏻🤘🏻
I've never seen Kirk Hammet happier on stage and just swaying in his groove more than this year. He's always great, he just seems like he loves being there more than ever.
When James swears these days I get a metal boner. When you hear him in the studio he still swears like crazy. You can tell he's just more reserved one stage. Wish he would just let it all out like the old day !! Still so awesome !!!
I do too! But when you see them live you see all the kids that go to their concerts now so I understand why he's more reserved. Except for when they play Hardwired ;)
His voice has changed so much since they recorded this song in 1989. His whole vocal style seems very different. I prefer the 80's James voice way better
@@dathorndike4908 Yeah well. Bruce Dickinson's voice doesn't sound the same either. When you do this stuff for decades, some wear and tear and changes are to be expected. James has done a good job of adapting tho, detuning the guitars as needed, and singing with less grit sometimes, because otherwise his voice would give out after 8 songs.
Jackson Hole I think lars is playing as well as ever...I think the big 4 tour really made him work on his precision... hard to watch Slayer and not wanna hit the Drums. Metallica for Life!

I watched and listened to it numerous times last week thinking it would be gone, such a phenomenal show and so glad I can re-watch as much as I want. I am SO in full Metallica mode. Been listening to the cds over and over in my car and on the iphone and when I am at work I'm fn jamming it here on RU-vid. I've been a fan since 85 and I feel like a teen again listening to Hardwired. I haven't been this excited about ANY music in a ling time. Sober, middle aged, family men trying to play covers in the thrash style just doesn't work. I'm glad I saw Metallica live for the last time in '86 and prefer to remember them that way.

i have loved Metallica since I was 9 years old...I know this is a cover...but I still have no fucking clue what a Breadfan is...I mean...I like toast as much as the next guy.
i hate sounding like im trashing trujillo but metallica was better with newstead. that was the real METALLICA. BEFORE JASON CLIFF WAS THE WARM UP AFTER WAS THE COOL DOWN. THE GUYS FUCKED UP BY SCREWING HIM OVER.
Sounds great, since when i s everyone so attention detailed oriented, it was live it was Kirk's birthday it was awesome and free and Metallica!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
