I think every band I ever played in covered this song.(For Whom the Bell Tolls.) Please again. Mastodon Albums. 😁👍 They have ,and use 3 singers...which is kind of unique in Hard Rock ,or Heavy Metal. The use of all three singers, really starts showing up on the Crack the Skye album, but anything is great by them.😁
@@danielwood7540 Kill 'em All was originally titled "Metal up your ass" but marketing nixxed it. Cliff 'em all was the documentary box set released after Cliff Burton was killed.
I would very much like to watch that reaction as well. Here is the link to make it easy to find ( I hope that is OK ) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qdlQyNe_9tE.html

I think of Zombieland every time I hear this kick off.
Cliff Burton was the mastermind behind this song. Some of the riffs can be heard on old recording from when he went to high school long before he joined Metallica.
@@Persianking1997 absolutely. I had a blast picking off defenseless women and children. Fucking idiot. Me and my men were there because their own people were killing them as insensitive for the civilian men to fight for the Taliban. Pick up a book sometime, instead of believing social media or making shit up to suit yourself!
@Trenton Tiller It's a quote from the book. A very famous quote from a famous book and a famous author. The Kiosk made the assumption that everyone would understand. He overestimated his audience.
I prefer this album over MOP. It helps that Creeping Death is my favorite Metallica song, but Fade to Black, Ride the Lightning and this all on the same album puts it on the top for sure for me.
I prefer Master of Puppets, but this is right behind it for me. While I like songs like Escape, it's lesser than anything on MoP. My two favorite songs by them are Fade to Black and Orion. The guitar sound for this album was fantastic. Too bad they wanted a different sound for each album.
JAMEL THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ..This is a song that was played alot at basecamp when I was in Afhganistan serving our country back in the day ..why some people may look down up on the reason why i liked and many other Marines liked this song..this kinda music served as notice to terrorists in villages and caves that we are not to be trifled with..and to any other Marines watching and listening to this song ..SEMPER FI!
We played this song going into Iraq , I was an Army Cav Scout with the 2nd ACR during Desert Shield/Desert Storm . Thank-you Brother for your service .
@@dustywaynemusic6297 Wrong again. Kill'em all changed metal because at the time of it release, it was the only one of its kind. Raw and undiluted. RTL didn't change metal or rock. MOP most certainly did. We all know why.
Mine was Master Of Puppets, on Headbangers Ball in '87, I was 9. Still jamming to em!! My son is a guitar player and can shred a lot of Kirks solos. I had him listening to them when he was 5-6, headbanging on our way to school lol. 🤘
I always find it amazing , that when a band, especially Metallica, were relatively young are writing masterpieces like this , with great lyrics ,at the ages of 19-20 years old !!!!!,,,,,
I watched a documentary on James Hetfield. He started getting into music very seriously after his high school football coach told him he had to cut his hair to play, and he refused to do it.
I love how Metallica played around with time signatures truly creeping into the prog metal category. A little trick they learned from one of their influences, Rush! Hard to put either band in just one category, rather you put each of them in a category of one! Both so unique!
This a great song. Not as heavy as people may think by the title and band which is great. However, no song beats “Fade to Black”. Greatest I have ever heard.
There's a live version from 1985 which was part of the Cliff Em All compilation that features some iconic Cliff Burton Bass playing! You should definitely check that version out! Cliff was one of the greatest bass guitarists in history! Unfortunately taken too soon from us in 1986 during a tour bus accident.
Ive listened to this song since my teen years... Im 51 now... "Take a look to the sky just before you die It is the last time you will" still gets me every single time! 🤘
Excellent choice for a road trip album. Smiles for miles, and you'll be at the next destination before you know it. When you return get ready for "Dad, can you buy me some Metallica t-shirts??" Better yet, order some so they're already there when you get home. Cherry on top of the "Best Dad" award
@@chsot68 now that's a great double-header!! I took my daughter to see Devin Townsend and Iron Maiden (different concerts), so she could see real musicians play real instruments. Got my tickets for Priest and Megadeth (again, different concerts) later in the year (they had to reschedule due to Covid) for the same reasons. Metallica is on the radar at some point. Keep rocking with your daughter - she'll appreciate the heck out of it, and you!
I just noticed, Jamel reacted to this and "Crystal Ship" by The Doors on the same day. Nothing like going from one extreme to the other. Keep 'em coming, Jamel !
This album and Trouble’s first album were released around the same time. I’m just curious when they heard them. Did trouble open for Metallica in the early days? Anyways, Trouble’s first album was a masterpiece. I saw them open for Motörhead at Metro in Chicago on December 15th 1985. I’ll never forget it. Trouble, sadly, was booed all night. They blew me away though. I bought their first album two days later.
@@strqrt70 Metallica were big into demo tape trading, and Trouble had demos dating back to 1980. I'm pretty certain the boys said that they were into Trouble before they were signed.
Waaaaaay back when we were in high school and this was fairly NEW music, my husband's cover band (he was lead guitar) played this song and YES it was awesome. Love Metallica!
This is for sure a "whole album" reaction! When we have a huge catalog of music we forget the great classics!!! Makes me happy that you now get to expand your catalog!! This is one of their greatest albums of all time!!
I'm sure I'm not the only one who will say this, but their live performance of this song in Oakland, CA at the Day on The Green festival is ICONIC, showing their raw power -- and features the legendary bassist Cliff Burton. Ya gotta react to it. The performance is on RU-vid.
I saw metallica when they were totally awesome, with cliff burton,my very first concert, like only two months before he was killed, they were so loud I can still hear them!
RTL!!! My favourite Metallica album, EVERY song is a banger. Title track is a belter - Creeping Death, Fight Fire With Fire. That start is Cliff destroying the bass - truly epic.
You got TWO awesome bands at their best with this song, basically... Megadeth and Metallica - and with Cliff Burton on the bass, who was killer and looked the part, too. I love the beginning staccato guitar which starts out slightly off the beat and comes up to meet it - they won't let that kind of reality be heard on a track anymore, but here it is.
I swear if there was only one song i was ever allowed to listen to for the rest of my life this would be it hands down and it made me SO happy to see the way you reacted to it!!! Your videos just fill me with so much joy!!! And fyi I LOVE IT when you say Ooooooooh!!! 😂 love to you from Scotland 🏴❤️
I love how you were about to pause it 4 separate times but then decided against it every single time. 🤘🏻 That's how legendary this song is!!!! 🤘🏻 Now, imagine being in Giants Stadium at the Monsters Of Rock Tour and seeing Metallica perform this song with _the entire stadium singing every single lyric in the entire song in unison!!!!_ 🤘🏻 Now THAT'S badass!!!! 🤘🏻
I really appreciate you. Most reactors I've noticed starts off listening to metal and rock on their channels and after they get their fanbase, they start reacting to nothing but hip hop /Eminem and rarely reacting to rock/metal after that. Kinda deceiving. You've been consistent and I appreciate that. As a half black metalhead, I enjoy seeing you enjoying this type of music, genuinely. Please keep'em coming
Saw this tour in 1984 (Chicago) if memory serves me right. 16 or 17 years young and full of energy. I’ve seen so many Metallica shows I’ve lost count. I was blessed because I got to see so many different bands at the right time. Judas Priest- Queensryche- Blue oyster cult- Black Sabbath- Ac/Dc- Ozzy- Rolling Stones-ZZ TOP-Motley Crue- Pink Floyd - Bruce Springsteen- Jimmy Page/Robert Plant- Eric Clapton- Johnny Winters-Black Crowes- etc etc. so many different shows. What a killer time for some much Great music.
"Damn!" lol Dude, I love seeing you discover these songs. Didn't really listen to Metallica until 1996...ended up having to go back in their catalog myself. Welcome to the family! Here we are 300 years after Mozart died, and anyone who takes the time to listen to his 41st symphony will sit back in amazement. The same will be true for most Metallica songs. Bleeding Me is one of their most underrated...give it a try!
"Fade to Black" off the same album is my favorite song off all time. If you haven't reacted to it, you need to Jamel. Thanks for keeping great music alive.
Ahhhhhhh damn!! In the car on my to work, tune into my liked videos and when I hear your channel intro tune, I instantly smile! Then to hear the eloquent bell intro, heart-thumping drum beat, and that hungry guitar......YES I was in my commuting glory!
Fyi If you are seeing Metallica live at an indoor venue, use ear plugs. Saw them in 1991 when they toured the black album and my ears rang for three days afterwards. It was worth it.
Prob my fav Metallica song !! It’s so awesome!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️so glad you got to this one!! JAMMIN, Head Banging !!! Every instrument was showcased so awesomely as the vocals!!
When listening to this jam I like to imagine Metallica as gladiators fighting in the arena for our pleasure! 'are you not entertained? ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED!?!'- Maximus
@@jimmyjennings5343 There are dozens of videos on RU-vid alone on how to stop an anvil from ringing! Take e.g. this ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hhk_XNgKYvY.html#t=34s and slow it down (w/o preserving pitch) and you get a bell-like sound. I don't know whether that's what they did, but here are several sites claiming so, including the first which is quoting the album's producer in an interview: www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/fighting-fire-with-fire-metallica-look-back-on-ride-the-lightning-243500/ metallica.fandom.com/wiki/For_Whom_the_Bell_Tolls_(song) www.roadiemusic.com/blog/metallicas-bell-tolls-3-awesome-facts/ Edit: In fact, that last whack he does played at 25% sounds rather similar to the album bell.
@Jamel_AKA_Jamal my new favorite channel. I love how you get into the tunes. You can tell you really dig the various types of music. I'm digging your videos. Lots of these songs are from my teen years. Im glad you are enjoying. You have a new loyal subscriber. Keep it up man!! Lovin it.
Jamel I have severe depression and many other issues in day to day life. Youre personality and videos get me through my day! And the music though!! Love ya my man!!!
