Metallica made an appearance in the movie The Darwin Awards. It's a pretty crappy movie, but these two scenes rock! Best part of the movie. Good fun ;) They play "No Leaf Clover" and "Sad But True"
Kirk: can i ask one question? What the hell were you thinking? Stoner: you know, sex, drugs, and rock n roll Lars: You should focus on the sex and the rock n roll and forget about the drugs James: actually in your case you could probably forget about the sex too hahaha stick to rock n roll dude
Indirectly but, damn awesome scene in "Any Given Sunday". The black players are celebrating with rap then a large tatted-up player interrupts them by blaring MOTORBREATH with KEA and RTL visible on his CD player. He then yells in the other player's face, "HETFIELD IS A GOD!!" after he jokingly insults thrash.
@williamtrevormcneil It is Joseph Fiennes driving the van at that part. He is the main character and the one narrating the scene. The reason he shows in this spot is part of his obsession with uncovering the human nature or circumstances that lead people to committing these acts that end their lives or cause bodily injury.
This feels almost like some edgy inside joke about Cliff. I remember seeing this movie on a rented DVD when it came out and can't remember anything about it other than the fact that Metallica had a cameo.
@joshrochanroolzutoob hahaha that is not the stunt man!! that is the guy that is able to see things from the perspective of other people. Watch the movie hahahaha.
Shit movie from a shit era of the band too … it’s wack cuz the footing is from an indoor arena show and the movie suggest that it’s a gig at out door venue … it’s obvious and makes it cheap and sad but true
No wonder this movie sucked ass, they used the whole budget to hire metallica. lol James should have said "You should`ve forgotten about the shitty acting and terrible humor and stick to the rock and roll!"
