My Metallica Playlist! • Metallica
In this Lux Aeterna guitar lesson video, I will show you how to play this great song from Metallica in its entirety.
The tuning is standard tuning, E A D G B E.
The song is very reminiscent of old school Metallica and has some great riffs and hooks in it.
I will cover each riff in the order that each appears on the original recording.
I will also take an in-depth look at Kirk's solo. This solo can be played pretty much note-for-note until we get to the whammy bar madness towards the end. It is signature Kirk throughout the whole thing though.

I like the new Metallica track, it reminds me of Hit the Lights, but the only place I hear the Wawa pedal is on that initial double stop on the lead after the first chorus, I do not hear the cry baby at all during the main solo, that's the first thing that hit me, damn he isn't using the Wawa pedal, it was a pleasant surprise, I listen to the track numerous times since yesterday, if he is using the Wawa pedal it is not being manipulated he just has it set in one spot because there isn't that oscillation between very bright and very muffled that you would obviously hear if a Wawa pedal were being utilized, great lesson as always, thank you
