V3nta guy lol, really? I play minecraft with my kids, so what. So glad you took the time to read and then talk shit about a fucking comment I made. I've been metal since I was 13, still am.
"Bass solo take 1".......such an epic piece of work which is engraved in my heart. Until i heard that, I had never given the bass much attention. In most songs I cant or dont notice the bass much.
Legendary. Couldnt imagine being 19 years old and being this successful, touring and playing your passion in front of hundreds if not thousands of people. They've lived a life most people can't even properly dream about, let alone live it. Legends
That’s what happens when a band is very hungry to succeed and take over the world Metallica started becoming the number one band in the world by the mid 80s selling out whole stadiums and arenas all over the world by there early 20s! Absolute legends!!
And I ask the almighty God why? Why are most people slaves and very few get everything? I think it comes down to hunger and drive. For the rest of us we wait on God to live our lives.
MyName__ Kosmo Well this may surprise but in a grand conspiracy Alembic made multiple basses that many people other then Jason Newsted play. Crazy right? Almost like they had a business or something? A quick google confirms that Cliff Burton played a alembic Spoiler bass. “CLIFF: The Ricky needs some work. I had an Alembic for a while, which I was very happy with until it was STOLEN!! If anyone out there comes across a black spoiler bass with a fair-sized chip in the back finish, up around the side of the peg head, it very well might be mine, so... just send it to me.”
Imo the songwriting is pretty elementary. But that’s exactly why it’s catchy. The exceptional part of the lyrics isn’t it’s sophistication but it’s simplicity. The lyrics are easy af.
I love it , there putting so much passion into this show and the crowd is blind to see the talent in front of them. I always hated when they didn’t say “DESTROY”
com'n ... those guys were real supporters none of the bands had tunes on the radio, so they just went there to support the movement, whatever band performed, and clearly they didn't know the song yet. Those years were the brotherhood of metal.

There was this band, a Metallica cover band but I don't remember their name, they opened for Metallica a few times. I remember James saying in an interview "Were ever that good?"
I'm 43 years old and I've been listening to Metallica since I've been nine years old. I'm sitting here watching this video and I'm watching Cliff's facial expressions when he plays hard, and his aggression and his passion and his head-banging and tears are literally rolling down my face , WOW unbelievable Talent .
SOOOO GOOD!! One of my favorite bands in High School. Cannot get over James' Hetfield's baby face. Guess we were all so young back then. 🤣 RIP Cliff Burton.
"Flawless"?; far from it; this was filmed when they were in the process of evolving, they peaked with the Puppets album and beyond until maybe 20 years ago
son: "why is my sister called rose?" me: "Because your mom loves roses." son: "oh that makes sense, thanks dad" me: "no problem *_Metallica Seek And Destroy Live at The Metro 1983"_*
Don't feel bad their music gradually diminished in quality and they morphed into douche bags. If you haven't become a douche bag you are better than Metallica
Hatfield is an underrated singer because a lot singers try to sing super high and do difficult shit on the album and then play live and can’t live up to how they sound on the album. He Always sang in a way that he could sing live and sound good. It’s realistic to maintain…
Łukasz Kowalik I'd like to know the photographers and engineers that were involved in this Small gig. can you imagine being I their foot steps.? " oh here we go another hard punk band of kids"
Take a look at the movie "Mystery Of The Wax Museum" - that movie was made more than 80 years ago and it had about the same resolution as this video and it even had some colour, which was pretty awesome.
+Laurelindo Probably because it was shot on film. 35mm Film has insanely high resolution, the reason they often look bad is because they either weren't transferred to digital well or they deteriorated.
I wonder if these people have any idea who they are listening to ?. They were probably thinking "Those kids were ok" ...no... These kids are about to drop three albums that are going to rip metal a new ass hole.
Yes that is so true, I was friends as a kid with a middle to well to do family. We all inside one day as raining we teens13/14 year olds. I had always liked Motorhead as soon as I realised metal but anyway I digress. My friend put on Ride the Lighting album.............I was like what the fuck is that?.......,,,what amaze me now is he didn't think was such a big deal.............Really I biked on a 20"BMX 5 miles there and return same to get that vinyl that day from HMV store.
@@dickdozer6558 I kinda like the merciless sound of KEA. Of course, the more "professional" albums RTL and MOP were fantastic as well, but there is also something special about how KEA just keeps raging at full intensity almost nonstop from beginning to end. It doesn't even have that calm intro in the beginning of the first song, it immediately opens with furious guitars and drums that build up more and more. And every single song on the entire album has very fast parts, even "calm" tracks like "Anesthesia: Pulling Teeth" and "Seek And Destroy".
@@aciddecay I don't think it's joke. There are these people which I don't know what to call. They act "adorable" and "sweet" on the internet. They change word spellings.
This always takes me back to my 1982-86 high school days when we would blast new albums on a boom box during the bus ride home following a road football game. Shout at the Devil, Purple Rain got cut short after the coach heard Darling Nikki. Then we went to a record store next to a pizza parlor in Pacifica CA and bought this album called Kill Em All and blasted that on the way home. There was something about the rythm that had everyone, including the rappers, banging there heads. Hard to believe how lucky we were to have that era of rock in our youth.
this is my favorite period of metallica. Young, fast, loud and raw as it can be and you can tell their letting out anger that they couldn’t before and I love that shit
This brings back memories. Metallica opened for WASP during this time. I worked Security for a show in Corpus Christi, Texas at the Ritz Theater. Got high with Cliff Burton. Great Times!!
Yeah, Im sixteen and I grew up on 60-80's music, mostly metal, with Queen and Led Zeppelin sprinkled throughout, I seriously wished I grew up in the 80's... 😢
@@poshi109 if you grew up in the 80s you'd most likely be an owerweight and balding accountant, father of 3 ungrateful teens so just try and enjoy the times you live in dude. Peace
