You are the bogey-man … the terror in the night that krabs like me tell horror stories to our kids about … watch out and stay aligned …. Or the curse will get you 😂😂 man you’re frickin amazing .. this is one of the best pvp videos I’ve ever seen and you pick your fights with finesse and care … really really well done
I think this is one of my favorite videos as of recent. I love the idea of the curse, haven't gotten to fly it much and been theory crafting on it a bit. This will definitely give me some inspiration.
Thank you for the compliment! The Curse is truly a great ship, especially as a support role. The combination of bonused Neuts and/or Weapon Disruption is crucial to help mitigate the ever present Marauder blobs.
Thanks for subbing! I always love talking to veterans, they are always full of amazing stories to tell. I'm curious, how long is "long time ago"? Also, if you ever get back into it, I hope you do it soon, because a new and huge expansion is coming in 12 days. Pirate Faction Warfare launch and extremely cool NEW ships to be had too! If you do return and need help getting back on your feet, feel free to join the Discords I linked the description and/or message me in-game at June IparisWing.
Lmao. I assume from the comment on another one of my videos that you are in Sigma!? I hate to say it, but I'm gonna be honest,. Sigma space is currently one of the worst (if not the worst) groups to fight as a solo/small-gang player... So don't expect me to stick around your space much:P
@@juneipariswing it's fine, not everyone likes alliances that refuse to feed. I get the importance of 'good' fights with small gangs but there are a lot of people who are salty when you don't fly ships one at a time, in a straight line, at their well-rounded nano gang. There are indeed also very risk-averse (lame, probably burning hundreds of kilometers off the ESS grid to fight or simply filamenting out when things don't go perfectly) people who frequent our space and they get extra special treatment as a result. This is partially to blame for some people getting giga-dunked because we're just tired of the state of ESS-filament-combination mechanics. Of course I'm sure you know that when an FC is on, most large alliances (though I personally disagree with it) will make everyone form into a 'comp' instead of just skirmishing in a less formal fashion.
Not sure you can call that blue munnin kill a 'fight'.. that was a straight up dumpstering of a gank he wanted nothing to do with 🏃💨 Great video though much enjoyed despite having to pause a million times to read the commentary and not miss the intricacies of the engagements. Perhaps im just slow. Bet that curse os worth far more than any of those targets to get those abysall rolls right 😮
That guy I set blue personally due to a friendly interaction we had, he was NOT a corp/alliance-mate or formal ally in any way. We live by NPSI, i.e. "Not Purple, Shoot It" and he was totally cool with it and we had a chat afterwards. He was happy that he even made the cut for the video in the end! Fun fact: that same guy won an AT ship in the playoff round of this competition, for which I was the one who motivated him to participate (full credit goes him ofc for his original idea and execution). Glad you liked the video overall though and I appreciate your feedback. I've tried slowing down the commentary and will consider slowing it down more. I figured that it was better to add more comments and leave it to the reader whether to care to read it or not, rather than leaving holes in my explanation/storyline. It's definitely very expensive for a Recon, but not insanely so. It looks crazy, but the Genolution Implant Set buffs your fitting/capacitor SO MUCH that you can afford to fit many bricked mods. For example, the Warp Disruptor was bought for 500mil due to its max bricked CPU, which would otherwise be worth well over 1bil. Besides, the whole point of this video is to push the boundaries of what is possible and if some bling is needed so be it. The results speak from themselves! You're also incorrect, I invested approximately 5b into this Curse and as the video says, I killed ~33b with it. The loot from those kills as well as some of own PVE site running netted me just over 20bil by the end of the event! A very worthy investment:)
@juneipariswing I understood the situation with the munin and no disrespect intended. when I go hunting I find at least half the skill and fun is making the catch, and this was a good catch! Just a friendly jibe that he did not want that smoke- and for good reason! I may be in the minority but I would honestly prefer also less time compression on the fights but I understand that would probably make too long of a video for most. The pausing was worth it 👍 Ahh right for some reason I expected you had spent countless iskies rolling your own modules to get it just right and hadn't thought you'd just buy the suitable ones.. durhh. I've haven't dipped my toes in the abyssal module market much.. tend to just use any useful ones I get from PvP loot 🤷🏻♂️ And yep I get the concept and why you did it the way you did... And I appreciate it! inspired me to scrape the rust off my own curse soon. I'll certainly be watching the rest of your content after seeing this 😎 o7
Hello based Grunt sidekick:D I concluded mutated drones were overkill, expensive, and unnecessary. I originally ran augmented drones to start, but quickly scrapped it due to losing waaay too many drones. Curse drones are just soooo thin. 99% of the time, the target is either gonna live or die irrespective of shiny drones or not.
Well, if it isn't King Greene! Long time no see:) Remember to see you all the time back in my Spectre Fleet LS days and you were in Cruiser's Crew. (IIRC you tried to recruit me too, but I was living the NPSI life lol) It wasn't Loc the character, but I know of Loc well. I did fight him and a Sugar. gang, we were soooo close to killing him. I know he flies like 10-15b fit or something. However I do think it is him, just under another character (Multiplicitous) because when I checked his losses, the fit was identical. This was my loss: zkillboard.com/kill/96381484/
A faction fit faction dread costs like 10b+ right? This is roughly half of that. Compared to Grunt Kado's, Bluemorphium's, and KhanPaso's 50b+ Curses, my Curse pales in comparison. I truly think the fit can definitely be cheapened up with similiar performance, although it is clear I would've died and/or not been able to win some of the fights shown in this video if I had flown a cheaper set-up. Unlike all my other previous videos (the Polar DNI and Attack BC's in particular), I decided to go all in on this one to see how far I could push the theoretical limits of this ship, in a way not quite conceived before. Fun fact: all the mods on this ship were stripped off other ships except the cap battery. In either case, I hope you enjoyed the video. If you haven't seen my other vids already, highly encourage you to check them out, where I prove that ISK does not equal WIN. In fact, I demonstrate the complete opposite.
I don’t understand? You’re trolling Curse trolls whilst flying an OFFICER fit Curse? Weird flex but yeah ok I’ll watch because I happen to adore the Curse … 🤷🏼♂️
Thank you for watching anyway lol. I was half-trolling those who criticized shield Curses by flying a shield Curse and killing 33b+ with it, not necessarily because it was Officer fit.
Someone in the comment section said you're a boogeyman. I second that. Literally a ghost on scan, cannot be killed cuz.. no cap... Holy shit. this curse video is.. scary. The alarms start ringing the very second the fight starts LMAO. Being flown with sheer middle-finger energy (neuting, hehe) and i love it. I've watched this video many times. when it was first uploaded.. and a few times since. Makes me wanna train Amarr cruiser V.
advice: - when buring to ship engaged with rats or anything lock them near the point range, earlier you will spooke them - you can have a keyboard shortcut to return/dock drones (for lazy ppl like me) - shift-click on module overheats it (on/off) iam always surprised how youtubers do everything manually, the hard way
Thank you for your feedback! (1) True, but it doesn't really matter. They will run 99% of the time if not tackled by rats. If they are tackled, they're already dead:) (2) Yes, I heard that exists, but haven't really looked into it. Does that work for individual drones!? Or is that for an entire flight!? (3) I know, I know... It's (bad) habit xD (4) Manually is harder (didn't say it was better lol)
*I apologize for the audio quality for this video. I didn’t have a chance to properly add suitable music, so I pulled some random songs from my playlist…I'm also sorry for audio being too loud during several instances, as well as for any static noise still present in the fights with comms included.*
Glad you liked it! I know that they are cap dry when I get Zeroes on my "logs and messages" in space, if you get what I'm saying. That means that I'm no longer draining any more cap, because they don't have any cap left to drain! You can also tell they are struggling with cap if they stop shooting you (if their weapon platform requires cap to use) and/or if they had offensive modules on you (i.e. web, scram, point, etc.) and they drop off, because they have no cap left to activate them!
