Not only was their mic skillz was ill but their comedic side of them was good too which made their videos perfect. Basically it's nice to hear music that isn't gang related and is about a fun time.
💯Because this is real hiphop rap.The essence of it isn't gang related music. The industry ,those running it not of the culture did that on purpose for obvious reasons 🤦🤦♂️
It was this song that made me realise Method Man had one of the greatest rap voices ever. And Redman is just one of the coldest emcees ever!!!! His 1st verse is just pure 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
The Godzilla and king Kong of rap doing a duo. These two seem to have always just enjoyed each other's company. I'd like to one day learn the back story of their friendship, where it started and all.
these guys are just genius.... I love this hardcore shit. Though I gotta say.... my absolute favorite from them (or is it just Method Man) is.... TEAR THE ROOF OFF. That beat is SICK!
I remember enjoying this track as a kid but having little appreciation for the technical brilliance these two showed on this joint at the time. They were F L O A T I N G !
One of my favourite rap duos of all times they just bounce off each other in the most unique way natural chemistry🤩🤩😎 I knock the stuffing off that English muffin 😂😂😜🙊
Dudes had some serious chemistry together any track you put them on together was almost guaranteed to be fire. I can listen to Method Man and Redman everyday.
Shout outs to everyone who gave this song it's just due PRE VERZUZ. The fact they blended this lyricism with such a club smash is wild not because it happened (it has before) but Red and E's chemistry is the greatest next to OutKast, Mobb Deep and EPMD.
Lmao you do know yall wack af right? Us 80s babies are only cool cuz we got to experience it a lil better But we aint contribute too much to hip hop And u niggaz not only aint contdibute but were infants when it was at its height Never hype yourselves again
The flow on this joint from both emcees is crazy. Method Man has one of the best flows and rap voices all time. Redman is one hella underrated lyricist. He killed this shit!
I'm from UK and grew up listening to American hip hop. It saddens Me to see how hip hop game has turned out. At least there's still guys from the old school still pushing music I can enjoy there's nothing like the old school era. Redman has to be the most consistent and the realist emcee Out there .he's never changed he's way of thinking and he's never sold out unlike guys like nicki minaj. Jayz Redman has always stayed in his own lane .
If there is the Kevin Nash & Scott Hall of Hip Hop, it would be Method Man & Redman Both duos got a close brotherhood friendship. They can hold their own as individuals, but when they come together as two respective teams, the chemistry is unstoppable
@@devantethedcguyreactstoo252 I didn't own a car at the time. I was in high school. I had the CD and yes, I was blasting the sh*t out of this joint. Beat was f*ckin insane to me
Never been a Rap fan. Then I watched How High and I felt the urge to know more about Meth and Funk doc. Now I listen their songs daily. Also Blackout became one of my favorite albums ever
Yo Meth and Red like brothers from another mother for real, they meld together like they were born connected at the hip......we need another album from the 2 gods
Before Em and royce.....there was red and meth!!! Undoubtedly the dopest rap duo ever!!! Their energy and flow so well balanced!!! Meth with the sleek flow and red with the grimey bars
So fucking lyrical. The flows are crazy. I heard of these dudes before time and time, but never really listened to them until today. These guys are sick.
Clayton Jones: uuuhhh.... I don't think you know the history of these two. Further more if a solo artist does a project with another solo artist, then they are a duo. -_-
headakeakasupadome I do know the history of both of them. What I'm saying is that if you do a collaborative album, then you _are_ a duo. When Meth and Red do their solo projects, they are solo artists.
Get out of here with that! I think you said the same thing that I said my last comment. It is just a metaphor. If you want to argue or debate.... fine. Say what you want, I do not care. The BEST solo emcee duo right here!!
headakeakasupadome haha, I don't want to debate. I'm just clarifying that it's completely superfluous and nonsensical to say "solo emcee duo." You could just say "the best duo" or something.
