There has been a fairly heavy stocking effort in here to create a fishery. The golf balls are still there though

They go hard and I'm fishing pretty light

Cooper woollard its a stocked lake. No natutally reproducing population. The other thing is eating them out of albert park would be bad for.your health.

I used to only fish gold there until I lost my gold spinnerbait and have since found they aren't ultra fussy. Caught them on a big range of lures there now and the bggest thing is picking the right lure for the piece of water you are fishing.

It's hard to pick one best lure because everything works in different situations but ecoger zx vibes, jackall tn's and spinnerbaits are standouts

You are allowed to keep them but not many keep anything other than the trout.

Quality fish for a suburban lake.

I think it's quality fish not only for suburban lake but for any other lake or river in Australia.

This time of year you usually end up catching the rainbow trout they stock for winter rather than the natives

Rex .B they go a bit dormant with low water Temps but the trout prefer the lower temperature

It is recommended you don't eat fish from this lake due to the water quality. It gets a lot of runoff from the city which contains a lot of chemicals and pollutants
