I have no idea why this game gets the least recognition out of the trilogy. It's very hard, immersive, fun, long, and a great game. It is one of my favorite games of all time.
I remember when i was playing this as a kid, it took me a very long time, almost stopped playing it, to figure out that you had to go into morph ball mode when you've cracked Amorbis' outer armor. I could've searched it up in a walkthrough but i was stubborn as a kid and wanted to figure it out by myself XD
I don't think too many people realize that the Power Beam is THE best choice for drawing in power-ups. That thing will suck 'em up! Whether it's the weapon you actually 'should' be using at the time, maybe or maybe not, but if you get low on health or missiles, it comes in pretty handy, especially in Dark areas of Aether.
That darn spider graudian is so freaking frustrating. Make me want throw my wii Remote at the TV but its strap to my wrist and hits me in the eye and now I am raging mad
Wow! You really mastered the Alpha blog! Edit :I'm not convince by your tactic to defeat Emperor Ing. Sure, you defeated the first phase really fast, and I understand that the missile laucher is a bit clunky on the Gamecube, but there must be a way to have more ammo in the last phase.
Yeah, that would be super missiles for phase 1. Use phase 2 to kill inglets and restock health, as they drop +50 health orbs liberally as well as dark and light ammo and missiles.
My worst nightmares are boost guardian, ESPECIALLY spider guardian, emperor ing phase 3 and the final dark samus fight. I also REALLY hate the spider guardian as well
I say the top three hardest bosses in the game was 3. Boost Guardian (because of the dark suit always taking damage) 2. Alpha Guardian (because of the water and you not moving as quickly so you had to dodge alot) 1. Quadraxis because he had so many parts, eventhough it took me one try but I was in a rush because my mom was trying to put me to bed when I was younger. haha
It's not really that they made the bosses either in the trilogy version, it's just a side-effect of the Wii motion controls making targeting so much more precise.
In Corruption, aiming is 5x easier, because you use the Wii remote. In the GC games, you can only aim horizontally when you're walking, you'd have to stop to aim all around.
There's no such thing as "auto lock-on", just normal lock-on by pressing the r(?) button on the controller. Manually aiming would get you killed before even reaching the first boss since you have to stand still to do it on the gamecube.
try playing this game on hard mode i actualy beat this game in 7 hours and 45 minutes and i was going throgh the game fast as hell so this is one long ass game lol
Worker drone was hellish on hard. But honestly, the most annoying was emperor ing final stage, he didn't kill me, but he took so much time and ammo because all of my beam combos would hit his leg and do nothing.
lol amorbis.. i remember that battle.. back then, i made it out with just 1 hp and no energytanks left.. so lucky i got the suit upgrade there, i wouldve died without saving lol
Played Prime 1 so often that its hard mode is easy for me. 2's however is much harder. They definitely expect you to get power ups like energy tanks when they design the difficulty curves. Just did Bomb Guardian today and died to the 2 dark pirate troopers for that reason
