I wish they had put that last save point just before the boss itself. Having all that platforming with metroids flying around was a pain, and a waste of health before the boss even started.
My only complaint(s) with the game was one that child me refused to push through. I'm glad I pushed through, but 75% of the game is easily just backtracking. And the first 80% of the game's combat is a little too easy. Once you meet the pirates, it's like a totally different game. I hope if they remaster the other 2, they give us some sort of fast travel option, even if it's just to elevators. I don't mind puzzles, and most of them were fun to play, but st a certain point, they aren't even puzzles/platforming. Just you remembering to go back now that you have this or that power. I hope Prime 4 masters the art of extra item placement, a la Breath of the Wild. (Maybe no seeds though and missles instead). I never once felt hassled by that game's extra items. Also, the map is atrocious. Hint system also takes way too long, and is a little too straight-forward, meaning the exploration just feels tedious when you want to get on with the game, and then you're like wow okay 2 hours later I'm on the other side of the world, when I was right there.
I would like a fast travel option in the game but it can only be used at the save points like Metroid dread or Samus returns. The more open aspect of prime 1 is better but not having fast travel makes the backtracking a little annoying
Fantastic game, but this last boss fight was total bullshit. Having to fight your way to the top with all the different colored spawning metroids was a frustrating waste of time, and a total waste of health before the fight. There should've been either: A. A save at the very top after the spawning metroid shitfest BEFORE the battle with Prime or B. A save or some kind of checkpoint after the 1st phase of the Prime battle Dying and having to do allllllllllllllll that over again was infuriating. Even if i had enough and wanted to drop the difficulty to easy after investing all the hours into the game, you can't even do that. Just unnecessarily frustrating, when 99% of the rest of the game was fantastic. I'm hoping they tweak the save system and/or add checkpoints in between saves when the inevitable remasters of Echos and part 3 come out.
pro-tip: don't worry about wasting your Power Bombs on the metroids on the climb up. you don't need them in the final fight. the Hyper Beam literally decimates everything. Including the metroids.
Ok something is up with mine. I've tried like 25 times to beat Metroid Prime. I've made it all the way to his final form with half my life and hypermode is no way as near forgiving as here. If I stop to kill ANYTHING or I don't immediately put the right visor on, then the pool goes away and I'm stuck dodging more rings. I'm playing on normal and CAN NOT BEAT IT.
Don't give up! A few tips: Ignore the space pirates and metroids during the phase when Prime is replenishing at the pools of phazon. Make sure you have enough missiles to shoot super missiles. Stay consistent and don't be afraid to let the fight drag on for a while if it means you are focusing on dodging and just throwing out chip damage when you are able. Good luck!
Same. Maybe it's some kind of weird RNG sort of thing. Every single time I got in the phazon pool a Metroid latched on to my face and if I tried to kill them they took a billion charged shots or just kept sidestepping, wasting so much time. Felt like the game hated me. I rage quit yesterday lol. Just could not win 😢.
Oh and I highly recommend buying another copy of Metroid Prime Remastered and keeping it unopened and in a safe place or if you have the cash and time maybe getting it graded this will be a very sought after game in 20+ years.
@@RecoveryReplay Yeah I am afraid I won't like Prime2 and Prime3... Maybe Prime4 will be chill like Prime1.. I just like to explore the nice scenery and puzzle and roll around in a ball! The combat and stress is just not fun..

I struggled so badly with the final boss back in the GameCube days. I gave up trying after many attempts but eventually did beat it after coming back to it a few years later. I'm at the start of this fight in Remastered but I'm a bit apprehensive about going through this again. Hopefully my skills have improved and I can get through it easier than I did when it originally released.
If you go fast and hit every platform you can make it all the way to the top without fighting the little metroids. I use one power bomb and get to the main boss with full health
I'm noticing a few people were frustrated with this boss fight and I can see why. But it really wasn't that hard once I got all its patterns down and just tried not to get too close but only when I need to. For all the same reasons everyone in this comment sectio has about this level. It's very very underwhelming and so is the ending. But overall I think I liked exploring this game for extra goodies. i liked the back tracking, a few of the bossfights were challenging, and I really really did enjoy my time with Prime Remastered I just wish they at least added a save staion RIGHT BEFORE the boss room, because running ALL the ay back to the boss room was annoying. And there were Metroids flying around. This really isn't something to complain about in my eyes because I got it on my second try. But I agree with others who hated this issue
ikr. it wasn't that hard after I got a hold of its patterns tho. I just had trouble getting to the phazon pools the first time around. what was a pain was dying, and then platforming ALL OF THAT to get back to the boss room with metroids flying around
My problem is the controls. Im not using the Pro controller but the one that came with the Switch which cramps my hands like crazy. Plus i keep pressing the scan button instead of the other ones.....and now i have to start ALL over again cause i died. Great.
If I had to rate this game from a 0 to 10 I'll easily with no questions asked I'll rate this game a 20 completely off the charts rating. I'm actually about to beat it and afterwards I'm starting a new game and playing it again. It's that good!
@@AlexEgiyan I'm at the last boss now. Never played it before so no nostalgia factor. I'd give it 6 or 7 which isn't bad for today's standards. But I wish I had bought Dread instead. I just wanna beat the boss and delete it.
