Anybody miss the original Gamecube Phazon Suit acquire animation? The one where Samus looks/acts like she's feeling the initial Phazon corruption? Check it out here (not my video): • Metroid Prime - Omega ...
The most juiced up Space Pirate ever. I don't think they made a bigger Space Pirate in the Prime Trilogy and that includes when the rest of the Space Pirates officially submitted themselves to their Phazon overlord.
Anyways, this boss doesn't seem to have bullet sponge stats on Hard, so the plasma beam/flamethrower combo deals with it quickly. Everything here hits hard but I don't prioritize the troopers since the Omega Pirate deals friendly fire damage to them also.

Just finished this fight on hard mode. On my next playthrough, I'm gonna try the power bomb technique on him so I can knock him down faster, and then avoid the other colored pirates.

This boss was way easier when I was only 29 years old .... The visor and guns being all cycled with the d-pad and only separated by pushing a button really freaking messes with my old man brain. I'm having a much harder time .

Update - Old man defeated that big freaking annoying pirate...Now back to the chozo artifact. Oh great I forgot about the splitting fazon metroids ...ugh. Man I forgot so much about this game its almost completely new again, I freaking love this re-master . I hope we atleast get HD ports of 2&3 .

@@Airik1111bibles Nice! Yeah I thought it was only me..I think you might see me "blank" out a bit while beam changing in some of these vids. Since I like my scans as well, I usually forget to switch the visor/beam layout in the settings and when I do switch...the boss turns out to need different visors and back to square one. Hoping for at least a port of MP2&3 here as well! Waiting patiently to fight Quadraxis again heh.

Go into the control settings and swap beam and visor positions. It’s way easier to do the two button method for visors vs two buttons for beams. Still not streamlined, but it’s my preference. Since we usually need to swap beams more often than visors.

@@Pslm91v14n15 Thanks when I beat it again next year I'll do that. I could not put the Switch down back when it released ....Most fun I've had on my Switch so far since getting it. I don't know why GameCube games weren't ported , it's a really big mistake. I was hoping we would have gotten Zelda Windwaker and TP HD. I've had more fun playing older games like Zelda Skyward Sword and Metroid than any other titles this last two years.

I am new to this game and I think this boss fight just fucking sucks. Its bad enough I have to turn off my Xray visor see which type of Pirate I have to switch my beam to just to kill it. but there is also Phazon puddles in the arena and I always jump into those

Damn I hated this boss on the original GameCube version. Definitely not looking forward to this battle again on the remaster.

I got this last night on normal on my first try I didn’t expect it to work out so well so I’m not sure if it was made easier?? Two phases only. First ghost phase almost no damage trying to remember the mechanics. Second ghost phase super missiles and a little luck on being in the right place at the right time took him down.

Its only Genericly Produced wrong tbh. If this was the Natural Prime Producers they would have What would be Imported DLC: Area Monsters Bosses/ But in the Longest they certinly would have Kept the Fusion suit :(
