There's 2 really cool things about Super that haven't ever been done again in 2D Metroid: the x-ray visor as an exploration tool (there's kind of a thing like it in Samus Returns 3DS that highlights interactables) and the combining of weapons to make different beams. Another Metroid 2 Remake was the fan one Nintendo told to cease and desist, you should find that one
@@Bikonito there's nothing funny about using your position of power to belittle someone. You never know what people are going through and for derrick to use his platform to bully one of their fans is not cool. I respect spice for actually sticking up for themselves considering there would be people like you who would defend derricks actions no matter what.
I can't deny the character portrayals being actually terrible, but the 3D isometric felt pretty good gameplay wise, and a Metroid game with a dodge is interesting. things like playing with the Wiimote sideways, having to point at the screen just to shoot a missile, and slower moments where you have to investigate a scene point and click style have not made it age well imo. Phantoon as a secret boss was a sick ass idea
I agree in that I think it was alot of fun to play and was unique from a gameplay perspective. But yeah the story and writing was just kind of a mess. Having samus get ptsd from seeing a creature she had already defeated like 3 times previously, among other things, was just fucking dumb. Fun game tho
