I used to think this was just a peak kids movie but when i grew up i realized something in this movie really deep. if you take a look at the books he is reading you can tell how depressed he is
"I'm Okay I'm Okay, I feel honestly small and I don't know why" "Make me happy again" "Better Life Now" And on the wall there is a Self Help number. The book he's reading is "The happiest me I can be"
@@ranvirmalhi4850 Well, Megamind wasn't truly a bad guy; sure, he kidnapped Roxanne and tried to kill Metroman, but he never actually killed anyone other than trying to be accepted by society and not treated as the bad guy. It's the same with Metroman; he became a hero because that's what society wanted him to be, not on his own. In short, the rivalry between Megamind and Metroman is all a show to appease society.
I could listen to the entire song with metroman talking like this, anyone know similar song that does this? Where someone talks like this in the whole song? I'd love to know
This reminds me of that one Spider-Man comic when Peter was literally getting his shit rocked and for a moment he thought if he could just give up and go home, but with responsibility that big, you can’t stop.
I always found it funny that Metro Man becomes Music Man. Like he went from being a great hero to being a generic musician. After watching this I have realized the importance of Music Man. He’s who Metro Man wants to be. Who he chooses to be. He knows music and instruments. Something he never shows as Metro Man. Music Man feels like a better character after watching this.
Not only that, but he sucks at music. For his entire life, he’s been amazing and perfect at everything, and he hates it. He purposefully chooses something his powers can’t make him amazing at, because he has to work at it to get better and improve.
@@SweeperCreations It's so true. He had everything, but he wanted something real. Something he could learn. Metro Man became who he wants to be and I also want to be myself much like he became a Music Man.
This is the movie that made me realize that no matter how extraordinary a person is, they are still human. They can get bored, they can feel sad, lonely, etc. And it goes the same with superhero, "with great power comes great responsibility" but you never choose to be a part of that responsibility, Spider-Man choose to be a hero is because he had the choice and he made a decision, MetroMan here is just a man who had dreams but could not follow it because of his responsibility.
I mean, think about it there literally is no responsibility here megamind is doing this for fun, the moment metroman stops, megamind doesnt commit terrorism, he steals a few items and gets bored
ive recently been feeling like im just floating in life with no purpose im currently a sophomore in high school dont get me wrong i have a amazing family and friends but i just feel like what ever i do is boring like it mans nonthin and accomplishment means nothing it just doesnt make me feel good i dont think im depressesd or anything i just feel like the world and the actions i do mean nothing anybody here can help
... Then I realized... We had done this same silly charade our entire lives. I tried to get my mind off how I was feeling But i just felt stuck I began to realize despite all my powers Each and every citizen in metro had something I didn't A choice... Ever since I could remember I always had to be what the city wanted me to be. What about what I wanted to do?...
I used to be pissed that despicable me was the bigger franchise than Megamind, with its multiple movies, minons and spin offs...but then i realised, Megamind is perfect as is and the story doesnt have to expand. (Especially after the shit show coming soon)
Love the dynamic duo, cuz they’re polar opposites. Merman is more matured thinking while Megamind is always childish. & Metro man felt stuck after that realization of the repeating cycle, while Megamind was in love with the thought hence why he created another metro man & even gave a speech about how Titan was supposed to take him to jail so he can escape again. This was a very interesting & contradicting movie with well written contradicting characters, solid 10.
One was nurtured and given the possibility to seek something greater. The other handed a set of circumstances and told that's all he'd ever achieve. This is why Metroman is initially deep in his emotions and desires, while Mega Mind was very one dimensional and shallow with his emotional depth.
@@MikeHunt-zy3cn until he had to figure out for himself what he really wanted to be & not what was projected onto him being based of their circumstances
I really like Brad Pitt (Metroman) as an actor (can't say as a human, never met him and never will prbly). Bullet Train, Fury, Ocean's 11-13, Fight Club, Troy, Joe Black... But this role, this part... really hits me hard ...
I really see metroman as a symbol of humanity, what I mean is we as people go to work everyday and get stuck in the same routine of work, sleep repeat. Very few get the choice to change. I dunno I could be rambling but that's how I see it
Honestly, yea, that's perfect. Superman is a symbol of hope and idealism of humanity, while Metroman is a symbol that represents the reality of humanity
Everybody wants to be a hero yeah and all but look what you have to carry on your journey as being a hero man it’s sad because I know we all wanted to be Batman Superman iron man but metro man nobody cared about him when he put the city on his back😢
This scene reflects how society threat us we are told by the system what to work as well what to think dress act belive we never had the true freedom to express what we want to be or do Human being is just a disposable piece form a working machine called society
