Metronomy are a massively underrated band, this still sounds superb.

Metronomy was a couple years ahead of their time because all their stuff still sounds refreshingly new.

A song about control and manipulation in a relationship....

It almost sounds ironic. Like everything she sings are just lies to herself. I dunno, the song has always sounded eerie to me. Which is why I love it.

I listened to this song on the radio, 6 years ago, they never said the name of the song or the group, so I memorized the lyrics and searched it in Google, to this day I'm still in love with Metronomy.

Because of the supermarket I work at, where they blast the song everyhour, I fucking hate this song now. The speakers make the "I'm in love agaaaaain" horrible. It's like only 3 notes repeated over an entire minute and it drives me crazy. Send help

One thing I love? This music video has no story and the song isn't anywhere near my favorite, and the random shots of deer are weird... But the aesthetic of how it was executed? Cinematography, style, editing, lighting, etc? It was so beautiful. And I can see this being done with only a minute amount of gear. It really made up for it, and even more.

I think that this song is about the illusive feeling of fulfillment you have when you're in love. "Everything goes your way" for a while, when you're in the bubbly fairy tale phase but when you get back to reality it's all different. I get this "creepy atmosphere" and I think it comes from the fact that we know somehow that she's going to get her heart broken again.

Perfect pop song that I want to hear over and over. Unusual theme too for a love song.... getting back together. I like the understated video, a surprising change from The Bay which seemed to me like a Duran Duran critique. Metronomy just keeps getting better.
