Metropolis - Not the Sound Track Album - Performed by: Pat Benatar; Music: Giorgio Moroder; Lyrics: Pete Bellotte Unfortunately, Here's My Heart on the sound track album, in a word, sucks. Must have been some contract dispute which prevented the album version from being as good as the film version. Yeah, I was surprised to find this was Pat Benatar, a wonderful voice. IMO she should have been an opera diva!

I so love & relate to this movie so much. And it's always a warning to society. But nobody listens or learns

a Benchmark production, in several ways. This collaboration of contemporary songs/artists with this mid 20's silent masterpiece brings the message of the story into the realm of timeless. Always and forever relevant.

Absolutely gorgeous. A superb fusion of the 1927 Fritz Lang classic and a matchless voice that will never let your heart go.

Love hearing Pat sing this song with a beautiful mixture of head and chest voice. Well done!

this rendition triggered an ecstatic reaction from me, raising the light body to rejoin for just a few moments. Pat Benatar really did it best

I can only imagine with great sadness how many of these children died fighting in WW2 more than a decade later.

I love both versions. I know the studio version was done so it could get more radio airplay if they released it. This film version is wonderful. Pat has one of the best voices in music.

I swear that silent film footage like this deserves its own vaporwave/revival kinda art movement

Yes, beautiful singing--thanks for uploading to hear the film audio version. Never myself would have guessed it was Pat Benatar...

The audio on this upload is nice, tiny bit light for bass but otherwise, tremendous, and evidently highest quality audio, thanks.very much enjoyed this, the audio is really good, might just be listening on different source that might be creating the lower bass effect for me?

I know this sounds strange but I feel emotional seeing the closing credits of this film. Dont know why but I do.... maybe Freddie Mercury and Queen are mentioned in it
