Sandra…. I am begging you to see a Cardiologist or, at the very least, an Internist. Both deal with issues in our later life. There are Elder Care Doctors now but very few and far between. In any case, a GP is not a wise choice at your age. An event like the one described should be your cue to head to the ER. You have a history of heart problems. Never dismiss those events as little “spells.” Medicine is now advanced enough to deal with your heart issues. Don’t delay. We love you. ❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏✝️
Swooning. I am so sick of Cardiologist's. I am a retired RN and most of the Cardiologist's I worked with were literally crazy and moody. I am going through the same symptoms as you and get told there is nothing wrong with me. Until I pass out at home and my daughter goes into the exam room with me. The Cardiologist seems to investigate more when my daughter is there. You might want to find another Cardiologist and bring the hubby in with you. Praying for you Sandra
Please change doctors Anyone who dismisses your not feeling well with "You are swooning" needs to go back to medical school I would never trust her Awful you had to go through that but not at all surprising but given my sarcasm when she told you you were flat lining I would have asked her Are you sure I am not "swooning"? I have read and heard of Metroprolol doing exactly this Apparently the doctor had never heard of it (??) I truly believe you do not need a pace maker Prayers sent to you and all of your lovely family and hubby
I take Metropolol and Diltiazem. I was taking another one hydro? My heart rate and b/p got dangerous low. I thought my bp machine was broke. It wasn’t my cardiologist took me off the last med and ran all test even a cath. I have a healthy heart it was that bp medicine. I have a high tolerance to pain and went a long time with pain from a slip disc in my neck and it caused me to have high bp. It test good now. You need to google cardiologist and read their reviews don’t go to one with less than4.5 review. I’m 77 and my dr knows how picky I am about drs. I find my own specialist like neurologist and she said I’ll ok it if they call. If you don’t leave that Dr you may end up in a serious condition. Good drs in Tenn. I’m in Phoenix.
Oh my Sandra. I will be keeping you in my prayers. Mr. Bill too as I know he is worried about you. Congratulations on the new great grand baby. Pictures are so adorable. ❤️🙏
Wow! My husband had heart surgery and Metropolol was prescribed, but he's monitored every three months by his cardiologist and the dosage has been adjusted. You need a good cardiologist. Please don't settle for bad medical advice.
I would definitely look into getting g a 2nd opinion about heart. And for her to say right away you need a pacemaker, without thinking it could be the medication first is strange. Good luck with it all. Congrats on new baby in the family. Have a happy 4th. ❤🙏🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Bless your heart. That’s so scary. I hope and pray the medication is what caused you to flat line. And I’m praying that you will not have to have a pacemaker. Congratulations on your new grand baby.
I love that name it reminds me of the boxer Evander Holyfield.. I would definitely not fool around with your heart. The same thing happened with my neighbor. He is 76. He’s had a heart attack when he was 42 and almost died he was going to his regular internist for years, and he hadn’t felt well. They ended up doing an echocardiogram and he had a blood clot and he now has a cardiologist who is changing his medication and is monitoring the blood clot. His heart function rate is only 25%. I will be praying for you that you make the right decision. I haven’t been on for a while, but I’m back now.❤❤love Otis🐶and me, Massachusetts❤ I have one great grandchild who is 12 and I have 12 grandchildren who are all grown.😮
Hi Sandra, I’m sorry you went through all that with the fainting spells. Hoping and praying the medication you were on was indeed causing the spells. The pictures of your great grandkids were beautiful. So cute! Take care of yourself. Love and Kindness, Teresa
Sandra,I'm sorry that you had to go through this. My husband was on Metroprolol for his heart. He began hallucinating ,and was seeing people walking through his room. He did have some night time confusion called sundowning, but after talking with his cardiologist about the hallucinations, she agreed to take him off of it.The hallucinations stopped after that. It is always good to learn about the possible side effects of your medicines and you can usually read about them online. I am a retired Registered nurse , and had access to books about drugs and had looked up each medicine that my husband was taking and found that hallucinations were listed as a possible side effect in some patients for that medicine.
Beautiful babies! ..Oh Sandra that is so scary! Side effects from meds are so concerning. I'm not sure about your doctor though. She seemed to dismiss your concerns which is troubling. These were serious incidences that were happening to you. You are in my prayers! Please keep us posted and hopefully you have found the answer! Well wishes and prayers!🙏💝 Geri
Hi Sandra. I'm sorry this has happened to you. Years ago I had Tachycardia which means my heart was beating way too fast. So I had a catheter ablation done by a Electrophysiologist which is also a Cardiologist . He did a procedure and put me on Metoprolol. I've been on it for years with no problem. For me, it's been a good drug. I would like you to get a second opinion. I can't remember if you said you see a Cardiologist. But what I'm thinking you could have a heart Arrhythmia. I'm not a Dr. But you can feel lightheaded or faint with a n Arrhythmia. It's wise to seek second opinions these days. Unfortunately some Dr's. aren't is good as others. I pray you get more tests and look into this further. By the way , the pictures of the two babies are absolutely beautiful!!! Take care of you Sandra!! Hugs, prayers and ❤
Beautiful Great Grandbabies! Ever since your first heart episode over a year ago, you and Bill have both been in my nightly prayers. Blessings to the newlyweds from Texas! Congratulations on Evander! You were so smart to suspect the medicine because it's doubtful that the medical staff would've, no? I'm happy that those dizzy spells seem to be gone!♥
I was on that medication for over 20 years. It seems to slow your heart rate and continues to do so. I tapered myself off of this medication over time and no longer take it. If blood pressure gets too high you can take Moringa tea and it is good to lower it, also helps digestion, arthritis pain, constipation, diarrhea, etc. Hawthorn berries is also good for your heart and blood pressure, other teas and herbs. God bless you. 🎉
I will say a prayer for you. Bp medicine is not always easy for some people, I have been on 15 or more and did faint, and other bad side affects Having covid has changed many peoples heart not in a good way. Deep breathing 4 seconds in through nose and 7seconds out through your mouth may help, also a resperate machine , do your own research. Love the baby pictures something about babies just makes me smile 😊. Thank you❤
I have arterial flutter & it was suggested by a cardiologist to have a procedure called ablation. After talking to a few different relatives & researching, I learned that sometimes ablations have to be done more than once.. and sometimes they don't work. I elected not to have it done. I read that high calcium vitamins can cause arterial flutter. Also, lack of electrolytes & potassium can cause arterial flutter. Since I stopped the calcium vit & started drinking liquid iv powder (electrolytes & potassium), mixing this powder in my 16 oz water tumbler, I haven't had any episodes. Sometimes, we have to be our own advocate. And please check with your doctor before making any decisions or changes. They need to be in the know...and can monitor your progress.
Be sure you have a 'good' doctor though. You are very knowledgeable yourself Sandra and have been doing a lot to take care of yourself over the years. Find a doctor who knows more than you do, keeps up with current research and the progress of various procedures and drugs used over time, and is able to 'know' the percentages of side effects and alternatives available in case they need to make a change in your program. Ask lots of questions. Don't just trust that any doctor is going to know what they're doing. I grew up around doctors and veterinarians. Some stay so busy that they never read any medical journals nor are they aware that some meds and procedures are no longer applicable in today's fast moving world. There can be better treatments available. Before you get any major surgery like a pace maker, do your research, get one of more '2nd opinions', pray, and listen for guidance. You may actually need one. Then again, it's likely that you do not. Don't just take one 'doctor's' word for it - especially one that hasn't listened to you and given bad advice in your experience already. That's a red flag. There are other good doctors out there. But always, always, listen to your own guidance, especially since God guides you life and you check in with him daily. Much love to you.
🙏🙏🙏…Sandra you are such a beautiful soul…the Peace of Christ shines forth from you…have you ever looked into natural remedies for high blood pressure…like beet juice…and some supplements that are good for the heart…may the Lord lead you and guide you…your Faith in the Lord Bless you and Keep you…♥️♥️♥️….Love from Canada 🇨🇦
Thank you Susan, but it looks even better in this video because I had a smudge on the back camera lens!😂I couldn’t figure out why it looked so foggy, I kept cleaning the front lenses!
Hey Sandra You are such a Ray of Sunshine! Congratulations on your new great grandson, your grandchildren are beautiful, I have a granddaughter named Sterling Praying you continue to feel better ❤
I'm praying for you. I had open heart surgery in 2017. Born with a heart defect that I didn't even find out about until 2010 after I lost my middle son. By 2017 I was only given a year to two yrs tops to live w/o open heart surgery. Talk about scary AND frustrating as I have never been overweight and have been a healthnut to the MAX since I was a teenager! Never even eat fast food!!! So I'm praying. Have a blessed 4th. My bday is tomorrow...getting older isn't fun but at least we've made it another year....
Congratulations on your new grandbaby ❤ He's so cute! And God bless that the doctor did a real checkup on your heart 💓 Hope everything gets better now. All my love to you Sandra, and Mr Bill too 🙏🥰💞 You are in my prayers ❤❤❤
The babies are precious… And the blue eyes are so beautiful. Congratulations on new baby and the wedding. Did you realize you can be just about anywhere in the world in a few hours… As a world traveler …for me no place is too far.
Wow Sandra, it’s incredible that the dr couldn’t come up with that herself. Thank God you associated the issue with the medication, and they were ready to give you a pacemaker. Incredible. My mom took that medication for many years. Btw. Prayers for you.🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
😳Oh Sandra, I was on that medicine for a little while and stepped myself off of it when the quack said I didn’t have a cardiac issue. My husband was having the dizziness or swooning 😒 and the doctor reduced his to half a pill daily. He hasn’t been having those issues with dizziness since the reduction. I will definitely keep you and your family in my prayer. 😢🙏
Oh my gosh how scary,I hope you will be ok please take care of yourself,we never know what’s going on inside us. Congratulations on your beautiful great grandchildren. Best wishes to you x
Hi Sandra! My mom had a bad reaction taking that same medication and made her very tired and dopey. I requested she be taken off and she immediately went back to acting normal. I definitely think it was the medication that was making you feel that way. My cousin also said the same thing. I’m not a Dr but please don’t take it. I know it’s what was causing your problem. When I heard you mention it in the beginning I cringed and wanted to tell you then but didn’t say anything. Praying for your good health..love you 💖 God Bless You, Mr. Bill & Millie 💖🌸🌷💗
I would find a new doctor period!! When doctors look at us and lump us all in the same basket because we’re aging things happen is a bunch of you know what. THANK YOU BILL for going in to the doctor’s office with her. EVERYONE needs to take someone with them.
@@Sandrabrownhappinesspast60 It appears you have worked so hard on staying strong and healthy. I’m almost 70 and I have to remind doctors to not look at my age. Look at how I’m living. I had a very honest MD tell me a month ago that the medical group he works for actually gives spiffs for how many blood pressure and cholesterol prescriptions they write and then he looked at me and said I don’t practice medicine that way. Thank goodness!
Thank you for sharing your medication experience. That must have been quite troubling. I take this med fir HBP.. You look great and am happy to hear you figured out the problem. Take care and blessings to you and Mr. Bill
Yes. I so agree to get off the medicines. And I look forward when you are off the Lisinopril. I think we need to be our own advocate at times. But I also think that there are some doctors that have been anointed by God that are great doctors. Blessings to you and Mr.Bill.
40 year Nurse here… The “ swooning” is possibly sudden blood pressure drop and needs immediate attention. Your doctor must be inexperienced. There are multiple tests to be done before a pacemaker is inserted. Also staying Hydrated helps with blood pressure. I’m going to pray for you during this time.
Hi Sandra. Thank God they found that. A second opinion with a cardiologist may be a good thing. It could be it was too much amount? I had a second opinion and I feel more confident about things. God Bless you and Mr Bill. Let's all pray for one another. Darling grand children.
Those sweet Grandbabies are precious!!❤ You have been feeling this bad, for this long? I must agree with you, the side effects are all and more that you just told us you were experiencing!!! Bill pays attention to you more than you know. How is he doing this evening? Your doctor should pay special attention to you. I cant believe she had not pulled your file!! I want to see you two dancing in the moonlight🕺💃🌙🎵 Love Always ❤🙏❤️
Congrats on ur grand baby 🍼I take Metroprolol when I feel my heart racing..infact, I love it it calms my heart down, but I don't take it every day..every time u go to the drs,do they give a cardigram?Medications can give u side effects... I would get a second opinion!!! Oh wow, Sandra, I hope u feel better ❤ God bless✝️🙏❤️
Gosh I’ve done so well on that med since my heart attack in 2008 and 3 stents placed with 1 artery blocked 100% and 2 at 75%. I was on blood thinner Plavix, my arms always had those ugly blood thinner black bruises. Then a yr ago I had a stroke. A clot traveled in my cerebellum traveled up and then made a u turn thank goodness. Only remnant of having stroke is I forget the stupidest things and I just don’t feel 100% so I’ve had to cut back on doing certain things things. I live in fear. So please always get Drs approval before stopping Ed. Sounds like they needed to adjust dosage, a lower dose mgs. When I had stroke I wasn’t taking blood thinner thus reason ba clot formed so back on it for rest of my life, Im 74:.
So they changed you from the Metoprolol to lisinopril Was it an easy transition or did it take several days? I am taking the metapro lol for tachycardia, but not feeling like it’s working that well, and it makes me dizzy.
❤ Congratulations on the wedding of your granddaughter❤.. My son got married this saturday On my birthday and I was able to video the whole thing And post on youtube.. Blessings to you my friend
The babies are so beautiful, look at those baby blues on Wren! I have 6 grandchildren, different ages and teenagers..one day God willing, I would love great grands! I hope your health is resolved, it seems like it was the medicine being that you didn’t have anymore fainting…and YOU suggested it to the doctor, oh my! Prayers Sandra…you look well and talk well but what medicine would she replace it with?
Sandra, I am on Metoprolol and I wanted too ask you or anyone seeing this if it has caused weight gain on them.? Thank you all. So thankful you are doing ok!!❤
Sandra, your grand babies are beautiful. I think you have an irregular heart rhythm and need a pacemaker. It’s a simple procedure and insures a healthy heart rhythm. Get another dr. You need a good cardiologist. Be sure to let Dr know immediately if you have concerns. Don’t wait until a next appt. You have everything to live for and have a healthy life. Prayers and blessings
Bless your heart. My husband and I are both on that medication. He falls asleep constantly and complains about being tired. I tried to get off of it but every time I do, my heart starts flipping and flopping around the time I should take it. So I end up taking it again.
@@Sandrabrownhappinesspast60 Everyone is so different when it comes to medication. Some good some bad. I'm glad you figured out that it was the meds and avoided the pace maker! God Bless 🙏❤️
Hello Sandra, 🌻Thank you for talking to us while Mr. Bill is out at the Bible study. Your dear gd has gotten married in Mexico.May their union be a blessed one💐 My late mil used to say often, 'Life goes on!' I, too, agree that you need to get a 2nd opinion in regards to the side effects this drug is causing you. Have they said when you are going to be off it? I look up names of prescribed drugs and read up on side effects, risks and the like online. In this day and age, we really need 2b respectfully pro active. A sincere prayer for you. Dear Abba Father, ty 4 loving us perfectly and reminding us our days are appointed by You. We ask that You would keep ur daughter Sandra safe. Make her heart strong. Guide her in seeking n finding the best care that addresses her concerns. Father, it is a maze out there in the medical system, grant ur daughter the calm n discernment to find the best treatment. Father we trust You with our lives. In Jesus Name. Amen🙏
I’m taking Topropal and was taking blood pressure medication from an incident in 2012. For two years I’ve been off blood pressure for the reasons you’ve had… suddenly feeling faint. A few weeks ago my cardiologist cut my topropal in half. On July 16 I will be completely off it. Only a cardiologist controls my heart and blood pressure medication. Hopefully your cardiologist can do the same with your cardio medication.
I took metropotrol for about one year, the PCP prescribed it to lower my blood pressure. It did not lower my blood pressure but lowered my heart rate. I too would have these episodes where I would have a " head rush". I was taking a high dose of it. My PCP sent me to see a cardiologist who was very concerned about me taking a high dose and weaned me off of it slowly. I now just take a very low dose high blood pressure medication. I have experienced fatigue ( extreme sometimes) and dizziness from taking high blood pressure meds and I have come to the conclusion that happens when the meds are too strong.
Sandra that drug did the same to me, dropped my blood pressure and it was horrible. Thank God I had a cardia ablation and I’m off that med. feel 💯 better. Best I’ve felt in 3 years. Get a new cardiologist.
I agree with nowandthen, you need a new Dr. She should have listened when you said it could be your meds. We know our own bodies, whwn something is wrong.I'll be praying for you.
Congratulations on your new grandbaby! So sorry to hear about your Dr upset. In the growing low carb community there are long time practicing specialists awakening to our truth. Please check out Dr Phillip Ovadia. Heart surgeon who authored a book titled " Stay Off My Operating Table". Some of these Dr's are just prescription writers. Also Dr Ken Berry. God bless you Sandra.
My husband has taken it for years with no problem, when he quits his heart races. But I don't think I need it at all. I will know more after results from Monitor I sent in.💕
What was alarming to me was that they were trying to call you to tell you about the flatlining and you had to wait all that time to finally get the doctor to take you off the meds. They should have alerted your doctor. Do you ever watch Dr. Barbara O'Neill's videos? She has so many natural remedies and has talked about how the medical industry has changed the standards for what used to be normal for levels of cholesterol and readings for blood pressure. Then the doctors prescribe the medications to lower the levels, making more money for the pharmaceutical companies, and people suffer from the side effects. I will pray that you can wean yourself off the medications, and find ways to prevent blood clots such as increasing Vitamin C through foods. Thank the Lord that He protected your life Sandra. God bless you dear lady❤ Kathy
Just remember, the first time you wore the heart monitor you didn't feel faint either and expected it to be fine. Hopefully this test will be normal. I hope you mailed it in!
Sandy I know so many people that that Toprol done the same thing to and as soon as they went off of it they were fine it did my brother really bad he couldn't stand up so dizzy and everything another person I know same thing happened to him I think you're going to be just fine and this is Joyce and so I went and had the biopsy done and it was cancer so they're wanting to do a pet scan to see if it is spread or anything could you please keep me in your prayers thank you Sandy
I hope you are well…my husband’s prostate cancer came back after 15 years, can’t do radiation again..he is taking a shot and did the Pet scan, thankfully it did not spread..I hope the same for you.
Hi Sandra, is this Dr of yours a Cardiologist if so I’d find someone else for definitely a 2nd opinion. I’m on the hunt for an Internist Dr now that I’m 70, all I have is a GP and a Gynecologist. Maybe we need a Geriatrician at our age? Your Great grand babies are adorable.❤🙏🏻
My dad was on that and they put him on a pacemaker too. Get another opinion!!!!! There are other meds to lower blood pressure. There is losartan, telmisartan, etc. There are many categories of meds, including water pills too. God....please help Sandra and no pace maker. Your will be done Lord Jesus. Amen
All: the blood pressure pill is called Metoprolol. Sandra, you may want to correct the spelling in the video title. Others have begun to copy what you wrote.
Sorry you are going through this but I will say that you should get a second opinion. I would never trust a doctor who told me I was "swooning". She seemed to be dismissive of your concerns. If this was a cardiologist, go to another one.
