A 79 yr. Old Widow Finds a Husband on a Dating Site!

I am married but we are going through some hard things in our life ~ some losses and things we don't understand. I am feeling overwhelmed and even though I know you are speaking to people who are grieving the loss of their spouse, but your words are very reassuring that whatever our loss, that God is the one who will sustain us. Dogs are the best friends you will ever have. Loyal, never judge you no matter what, great companions. We had cinamon, our American Eskimo 17 yrs.loved her dearly, my husband, and daughter didnt want another dog, but I was looking on line at shelters near us, I saw a Golden Lab named Penny, fell in love, took me some convincing to get, the other 2 to agree. Lol. We have had Penny 10yrs.now we all love her. Gods Blessing to us!😊

I can't believe you are speaking to me directly today this is exactly what hit me this week and today was the worst. Just thinking of yesterday and what my glamorous dancing life was like in South Florida, now by myself in NC surrounded by happy family land...there is no one . I am in the same house where my husband died, the memories, he had what your husband had, hostile and difficult. Today it seemed to crash at me and so tired cannot pick up my paintbrush. People are very clickish here you are not included. I used to include people all the time, I'm Italian, so me and Dave would not let someone be alone for a holiday. I want to get out of my big house but I can't find the energy to pack one box . I have to do it but it costs more to downsize. So I feel stuck. Not looking for anyone. But you are right these feelings rush back to you one quiet day and then I do worry where will I end up and I don't like being like this now....I miss me the me I used to be, the dynamic girl I used to be and you know that what you lost is now gone...forever. i never disclose this much but you were really on point with me this time.

Sandra, I lost my Daughter to brain cancer last week. I am a born again Christian but I have a hole in my heart and I just can't find the strength to fix it, She left behind four beautiful children. When I pray to God I feel a brick wall keeping me from reaching him. Please pray for me..

I also lost my husband during the height of Covid.He had an accident but also had dementia. I loved my relationship with my husband of 40years and couldn’t Imagine starting a new one with someone new.I have always had an independent nature but lately I feel like I might want to have someone special in my life. I’m somewhat timid of getting on dating sites though but we will see as I think this through a little more. I miss that one person you can trust and share your life with if you know what I mean. Thank you for the comforting words and encouragement. My beloved husband of 41 years went to Heaven in August of 2021. He was a very strong Christian, so thankfully I know where he’s at. We were both very introverted and spent all our free time together. I went to church for the first year after he died, but it felt so awkward. I tried two different churches, but I know the problem is me. I’m not good at small talk and find it difficult being around people I don’t know. My sister and her husband live nearby and help me a lot. I still feel married to my husband, and it’s like my life has no purpose now. We were together since I was 15 and he was 16. I don’t even know who I am without him. I could definitely use some prayers!

I lost 2 miscarriages, one really bad, 11 year old ill son, husband at 46 both on Dec 7th Pearl Harbor Day. Now 67, ill due too Dr’s misdiagnoses. Still pressing on by His grace…….. thank you❤so for sharing

My mom has Parkinson’s and is in advanced stage… I am just praying she is called to the lord soon. Watching her deteriorate is so sad, knowing she won’t get better. You are an inspiration to us. Hi Sandra, I started watching about when you met Mr. BIll. I was freaking out! I felt like you were my mom! Lol! I am like what is she doing taking off with a man she barely knows! Now look at you! 🙂 I am grieving. I lost my hubby last October. My work has changed so much. I had to go to work. My sister in law stopped talking to me because she wanted control over my husband's health decisions. I did not bow down. I kept my husband's wishes. His friend who I thought that his wife and I were becoming friends abandoned me. My kids just went their way. It's been hard. The hardest part is financial. I need prayers. So much has happened along with this that I can't mention. But I just asked God why? He could always have him. But, couldn't I have had him longer? I enjoyed this video. It spoke to me. My husband and I have been married 51 wonderful years and I know one day if the Lord tarries His coming that one of us will be called home to be with the Lord for eternity. Sandra I have watched your channel from the beginning. I so enjoy you. I need encouragement right now. I am going through anticipatory grief for my husband of 42 years. He is suffering from a very serious chronic lung condition and his health is rapidly declining. He struggles so and it is breaking my heart seeing this. I have 2 beautiful children and a new grandson. I have been praying for peace and comfort but I am really having a very hard time. I know you have been through so much and if you have any words of wisdom to help me through this time and what is to come, I would appreciate it. I cannot imagine being without him, Sandra. I thougth I would be stronger than I am and I have to be for him and for my family. Thank you for your videos. You truly are a strong and inspiring lady.

I have been alone, grieving since 1/20/22. I go to doctor appointments, had cataract surgery, now get eye shots for wet AMD, & go to the grocery, but I try to combine trips, as I can't afford to go out every day. I am a loner, still feel married, & have a very close relationship with God. I have RU-vid friends because, I've had time yo get to know them & they are safe. I still have our little 14.5 year old Westie.

Thank you Sandra! What you are saying is 100 % true Been there twice. God is my refuge. I am 82 yrs. Old and became a widow the last time in 2018. The first time I became a widow, i was only 47 yrs. Old and had been married 29 years. That was a nightmare. Needless to say, I married that time 4 months after his death. 28 years later he passed away. The last 3 years was really rough.(real similar to yours) being a caregiver is really rough but I depend on God with everything . relate to Footprints in the sand. God has carried me through so much and I will praise his name forever❣️ I Pray that you and Mr. Bill stay in great health and continue to enjoy life until Jesus comes

My Granddaughter signed me up on a dating site 3x of the guys I was sent a security the year May be frauds…just don’t understand how that all works. Hello Sandra! Another great video and such wise words that are really helpful. I care for my mom but would love to meet someone. I have been alone for several years and I feel lonely at times… more often than not. So even though I’m not a widow your advice is something I can use also. I adore you and love your scripture reading and praying for us. I’m a worrier and I’m trying to work through that… because I start getting fearful and I never use to be like this it’s just since I’ve gotten older. I try to dismiss the voice in my head and know God is with me and guiding me all day. I am just so happy for you that you found a good man. I’ve been watching you since the beginning and I would feel so sad for you and get teary listening to your story. So to see you today makes me so happy! I’m in my late 60’s so I often think I will never meet anyone but think of you and know there’s still hope for me and not to give up. Sandra, I think it is wonderful that you and Mr Bill found each other and fell in love. I am a widow and I wish I were more fearless like you! I am 70 and I often think, who would want someone that age, and other thoughts of what if I were to get in a bad relationship. Hearing you talk about it brings me hope, and like you, it would be a deal breaker if he didn't love GOD. Please pray that I will find the courage to be open to meeting someone. I am lonely, and you're right, it's so easy to feel like a third wheel. I have friends, but its not like having a loving husband. Thanks for your videos, I always get something that helps me from them. I pray GOD'S blessings on you and Mr Bill for a long, long life of happiness. My mom remarried after my dad's death, when she was almost 70, and she lived to be almost 98 years old. GOD gave them 23 years together. She sure was a special person! Don’t take this the wrong way, but I sure wish you could’ve met my brother, lol. He was married for 50 years and after 5 years as a widower, at age 81 decided to try online dating. But my goodness, the number of scammers he encountered was crazy. He finally met a couple of nice ladies, but the distance was an issue. He cancelled his subscription. I know it would be nicer for him with a companion as he’s still very healthy and active. Still hoping he’ll meet someone locally. Thank you for all your encouraging videos 😇

I lost my husband 30 years ago. I found wonderful friends to do things with, both male and female. I realized that being independent can be a wonderful thing. I thought about joining a dating site but it made me feel less than and desperate.

I became a widow as well a little after you did. You’re right the evenings were the hardest for me. I was very lonely and also wanted a companion. I got on a dating site. Met some nice men as well. I am married now to a man that loves me and is so catering. He’s not perfect but I’m not either. I made sure he was marriage material. A lot of them aren’t. Didn’t meet him on dating site. The Lord is Faithful. I agree, you can’t live your life for others.

Yes....the Lord does give you the desires of your heart. Might not be as soon as you want ...it's in the Lords timing when he knows you're ready in his eyes. The Lord is always right. I'm sorry for what you went through. My mother passed with Vascular Dementia. Had it for a few years from a stroke she had on Mother's Day. My husband and I found each other on a dating site. I finally found the one 5 years after my divorce from my cheating husband of 23 years. He's remarried now to a woman that he convinced to letting him have an open marriage, so he has other partners. She's not so happy about it but she doesn't want to lose him. What a waste of life.

Hi Sandra I have messaged you once before. When you first started your channel. I lost my husband Jan 1st 2022. I think you lost your husband 2 weeks after that. And I lost my beautiful daughter nov 7 2020 unexpectedly. You and I have so much in common. I do have 2 sons I'm very close with. I live by myself and I'm trying hard to pick up the pieces and keep going forward. I'm 66 and I have been going out lunch with some of my friends men and women. I really would like to find a companion to do things with. My therapist wants me to still work on myself before I go on a dating app. I feel like I'm ready now but I'm so afraid of all the weirdos out there. Dome of my friends tell me that all these men on the dating sites just want sex ugh. Did you run into that a lot ? I wish I had your confidence and courage.

I am almost 65 years old. My husband is 68 was diagnosed with dementia three years ago, but just recently was let go of his job. He knows the Lord and I know the Lord and we know he is heaven bound. But I know exactly what you’re saying. I have been grieving off and on, especially since he lost his job it really hit me. This is real. If I didn’t know the Lord, I would have no hope, and neither would he. Thank you Jesus for being my all in all.

❤Usually in your town is a Senior Center go there and play Bingo, Dominoes, Cards, Pool table, Line dancing or regular dancing or just go and eat lunch there...3.75 cheap meals. After 20 yrs single I got married on July 17 seven years ago, I'm 70, so very happy cause the Lord put us together and not lonely anymore❤Praise the Lord Jesus ❤good show Sandy❤

It is important who is in your circle… about 1985, when I was 32, I decided to be more cognizant of who is in my circle… is the person serving God, does their life reflect that, are they serving others. It warms my heart to know Bill is traveling with Godly men. I recently was in beautiful Huntsville. I love the Space Center. We each are responsible for our happiness. A relationship with Jesus/God is most important. I’ve heard Charles Stanley say “when you live alone you can always talk to Jesus/God as you go through your house”. I agree , make it an “ appointment “ to get out and interact with people… even if it’s the salesperson in a store or smoke and speak to people in Walmart or while walking in the park. Humans are social creatures.
