Jacob deGrom went six innings and struck out eight batters en route to a I win over the San Diego Padres in Game 2 of the Wild Card series. Pete Alonso and Francisco Lindor both homered in the victory.

Carl Ravech is brutal. I guess it never bothered me cuz the Mets were never in the playoffs lol. But man they need to do something. Split the games. Let your home field announcers do half the series or something. It would be so much more exciting with GKR

Bruh the way Degrom was able to get outta that 2nd and 3rd jam. And leaving the runners on 1st and 3rd. This was a sexy showing. This is more important than your average triple or some diving barehanded grab. If you can handle that much pressure with the game deadlocked, that's what you want in a pitcher.

Lindor looked _really_ comfortable at the plate last night. Didn’t chase or even offer at bad pitches, just took them as if he knew what was coming (in the best sense), and waited for his pitch. Canha had an OUTSTANDING plate appearance in the 7th inning, just before McNeil’s double, and there were a number of others (Nimmo!). Good stuff.

I hadn't seen any of the wild card games. I don't really know the story as to why exactly did they get knocked out. But the Mets I believe are on their way up. 2023...it could be. We've said this before but it could be 2023.

Im very glad Degrom succeeded, Ruf s usual was a guaranteed out. Buck left Otto in too long (no shocker, buck leaves a pitcher in too long!!!!).

I also want to add that the ESPN play by play announcers are awful. If they fan boy more on the Padres Pitchers and hitters that I am going to demand they send the flowers and an engagement ring. The bias against the Mets is just too much. I cant wait for Fox so I can hear John Smoltz be biased against the Mets, but at least he doesn't fan boy the other team

I agree with that assessment especially with Max S. Go back to the Redsox vs Yankees with Pedro pitching for the Redsox, in the lead but running out of Gas. The Manager visited the mound, Pedro nodded he was good, and then proceeded to lose - he was out of gas. It cost the manager his job the following year because he didn't use his Judgment and allowed Star Power rule the moment.
