We have a new addition, it seems. Complete game 2-hit shutout, 15 Ks, 2-4 at the plate with a double, two runs scored, and an RBI. This man is unreal

Growing up my dad told me that whenever Nolan Ryan pitched, you’d never know if he was going to throw a no-hitter. I get the same feeling with deGrom. You can’t miss a single second when this guy pitches, you never know if he’s going to do something absolutely historical.

Game 1 of the NLDS was amazing, but Game 5 told us everything we need to know about the mental toughness of him, gave up 2 runs in the 1st inning, but kept grinding and grinding and gave the Mets a chance to win the series.

Jake has been a favorite of mine since he arrived.....I'm a 50 year Mets fan and I honestly don't think I could ever root against him even if he's in another uniform. A total professional.....humble....quiet....great fielder.....and one of the best hitting pitchers I've seen in Queens

It’s crazy that he hasn’t really done a huge mechanical adjustment, just a bunch of little ones to make his delivery more efficient, but the velocity generated is kind melting…

Being a Met fan is absolute torture. In 2015 with Harvey, deGrom and Syndergaard many were convinced the Mets would be making multiple WS appearances with a win or two. 5 years later and we havent had nothing more than a sniff of the playoffs. If Syndergaard could take that leap forward and become the dominant lights out #2 his immense talent warrants we have a chance to get back. I believe our lineup is going to score runs this year.

It’s so hard to compare him to guys like that because he’s in such a vastly different era. In bob gibson’s day, runs were at an all time low. Now, when degrom is pitching, runs are as high as ever

The craziest thing to me is that one-hit game, because he also only walked one man. Only two base runners in nine innings. When Santana threw his no-no, he walked something like 5. Jake is gonna get a no-no (maybe even a perfecto) one day.

It's been almost bizarre to see a team which can score like the Mets this last year not give a ton of run support. I mean, 2018 was one thing, but last year the Mets offense was pretty potent, esp. when Cano was off the field.

It’s likely because of the early videos in his career where they couldn’t find HD recordings of it. If they exported this video in say 1080p, the videos with lower quality would look even worse because they’d be blown up to fit the higher resolution. What I don’t understand is how they don’t have access to all high quality videos, being that these games were all initially broadcasted in HD. Not to mention, it’s literally the official team channel. It’s surprising that they don’t have those resources.

I seen Tom Seaver, Jerry Koosman, Dwight Gooden, Frank Viola and even Santana with his only no hit game for the Mets are no way as good as Jacob Degrom is at this point of their career's.
